Political Party cadres have been banned from attending proceedings of the tribunal constituted to probe corruption allegation against Communications and Transport Minister, Dora Siliya.
Tribunal Chairman Judge, Dennis Chirwa, issued the directive today, a day after MMD harrased former Communications Minister, William Harrington.
Mr. Harrington is one of the individuals and civic groups that have petitioned the manner in which Ms.Siliya handled the partial sale of ZAMTEL among other things.
Judge Chirwa further directed that any cadre dressed in political attire will not be allowed in the court premises.
Earlier Judge Chirwa summoned MMD Presidential advisor, William Banda, who had been accused of inciting the cadres to insult Mr. Harrington. But Mr. Banda denied the accusation.
Meanwhile, the tribunal has started sitting with Mr. Harrington being the first witness.

Oh I see
GOOD IDEA!
Thats RB.good move,well done.
….imwe is being a cadre a profession now? Because are the cadres not suppose to be selling same vitumbuwas or something somewhere. Although I herd that they are earning more from cadrering for MMD
One would think these political cadres can be controlled by police let alone being arrested for misconduct. Are the Police belonging to MMD now? Wonder why Siliya or William Banda are not being Harassed.
Anonymous, bingo! You have hit the nail on the head. Police came out in FORCE to stop the PF cadres during the hearing of the election petition case. For Dora’s case, the police are an absent force. In fact, they are also inciting the MMD kaponyas to attend court and rough up everyone that wants Nyama Soya’s dirty linen to be publicly shown. I am sure there is video of William Banda harrassing Harrington or sending his dumb kaponyas to do the deed. Why aren’t police interested in that? Zambia has gone back to a police state!
William Banda Typical UNIP mentality. This is Zambia no more Vigilantes and shushushu mano yapanse. Viva freedom of speech and expression.
Dora getting an upper hand again.
Well, well…..is this the same William ‘Thug’ Banda from the decadent UNIP era? Oh God Zambia! The more things change the more they remain the same!
For heaven’s sake. The Judge should have told NyamaSoya to stop hiring those sellouts
This judge is a coward. In civilised countries a member of the bench is the most powerful person on the land. In a mature democracy the Judge would have issued a restraining order against Dora Siliya preventing her from going to her office or communicating with anyone of her subordinates for the period the Tribunal is in session. But what did our learned judge do? He gave us a very lame excuse that he has no powers to suspend Dora because he is not the appointing officer. The Zambian legal fraternity is really made up of suckers!
YOUR IGNORANCE IS SHOCKING. THERE IS NO TRIAL GOING ON. THE TRIBUNAL IS PURELY TO ESTABLISH IF THERE IS A BASIS TO THE ACCUSATIONS PUBLISHED IN THE MEDIA. MEDIA REPORTS MAY BE EVERYTHING TO YOU BUT THEY ARE NOTHING FOR A COURT. SO THAT IS WHY THERE IS THIS HEARING BY THE TRIBUNAL. IF THE COMPLAINANTS ESTABLISH A BASIS FOR THEIR PETITION, THE DPP WILL GET INVOLVED AND AT THAT POINT THE PRESIDENTWILL REMOVE DORA. A JUDGE CAN NOT ISSUE A COURT ORDER OVER NEWS REPORTS PROBABLY STARTED BY YOU
WHICH SELLOUTS? YOU MUST HAVE LOST YOUR EYES IF YOU HAVEN’T SEEN THAT CADRES ARE ALWAYS AT COURT TO SUPPORT THE UNDEREDUCATE IN HIS USELESS PETITION. ARE YOU SO FANATICAL ABOUT THE UNDEREDUCATE THAT YOU HAVE LOST YOUR SENSE OF FAIRNESS.
ba LT basop

Exactly!! This is what I meant!! No disturbance please!! Just let the tribunal do its work.
As far as I know there is still no Case here. Only when the tribunal says there is one, will it be a police matter. Let us wait.
Ba J ati bwanji ? Where have you been? we missed you big time .
I am doing fine my faithful friend. Things are back to normal now.
Let us all reflect on the important national issues. The Tribunal should now wind up with their investigation without being disturbed.
