  1. Nice Pictures LT!!

The rain comes every year, and we know that there shall be floods. We need to get serious and plan a solution for these issues. We know that the water does not go down in Kanyama because of the bedrock there. Lets plan these things.

  2. Museveni whats up with the Kanyangu hat? RB was across the street in Swaziland and all those soldier people to welcome him at the airport? Also the policemen with the miserable skinny horses. Feed those animals for God’s sake!

  3. Picture 14 ! That bag is full of information on how to decentralize the Government.
Hard working Germans bringing sound advise to our Leadership. Nice collaboration. That is the way forward.

  4. These taxi drivers are nuisance! They think they own roads in Zed!

    Picture #15 (verbatim)

Defence chief: What time did you leave Mbabane your Excellency Sir!!

RB: I dont know. As you are aware officers, i have only been in office for four months! Not even a magician can answer that question.

  5. Sad state of affairs for the kanyama residents, old deal govt indeed. Great contrast with Mulungushi picture …giving a clear depiction of inequalities of life.

  6. Koma ma pupils these days. That boy with Caleb, cant he pull up his trousers honestly. In the presecence of The Governor at least try to be smart, anga kupase nanchito pamene paja ka. Sylvia Masebo naba kula ai.

  7. Kanyama situation is extremly sad indeed. After all these years its actually normal now to see it like that. Its news when there are no floods in Kanyama! ba chula sana abantu please.

  8. Ghostrider, abaiche these days, no sense of smartness. Nafwala na sagging pali ba Governor shuwa! nalabanako!

  9. #7 Ba Moze mwauka bwa?
The njinga couple in Chipata are true Zambians with a lot of chikondi.. Difikoti and Bikiloni at their best as usual(born comedians) , sad state of affairs fo Kanyama residents

  10. #9 Bo Wiseman fimo fimo mulumeleni,

Kanyama residents have lived their lives like that every rain season. I bet they are now immuned to all the diseases that come with such disasters.. I feel pity for them.

  11. Wonderful pictures, twatotela ba LT! A few observations:

Chipata looks very tidy, or did the camera man sweep the surroundings before shooting the pics?
Kanyama township is a breeding place for cholera, malaria & co.
KK looks as strong and conscious as ever! I think it’s the genes.

RB’s face seems to have shed off some weight, making him look younger!
    I like Museveni’s hat.

  12. #pic 4, reminds me so much of the typical Zambian market. filthy yet sustaining lives for the masses. Natusalaula, ba mini bus drivers ne ichikwela sana.

  13. #14,Hi Nine Chale,
Today I woke up to the left and am able to greet all the familiar bloggers, or is the ‘usual suspects’ on the blogg, hahhh lol.

  14. OMG! First i thought the Zedians are moving forward in transportations, like their allies who uses Okara’s in the West and Bodaboda’s in the East, Zedians have finally reached the Michofye Njinga era…………………

  15. Great Pictures LT. #5 Ba Moze: “Winsekesha!”

Pic #9: Who is the “chick” next to Super Ken, someone give me her number. And why is she “kayopeing” in the indaba.

Up to now there is no one who can advise Mr Mpombo to visit a barber shop. What kind?

Kaguta Museven, ‘Kalle uyu um’kaamba. ‘

  16. Those who attended the Indaba, what did FTJ say. I see he was even beamed on the big screen. Kamudala has even stopped falling ill, he is now even attending Indabas now that his cases are behind him. It would be interesting to know what the person who put us in this mess had to say.

  17. ………. meanwhile i would’ve hoped that they move on to the bodaboda, okara otherwise called mopped or scooters for getting around town at a low cost with less traffic jam stress but dangerously fast way of getting somewhere on time…………………..

  18. I agree with # 8, look at girl child, very smart and standing respectfully before elders. Our boy children think being gangster is the order of the day. And like you say, who knows who your future boss will be?

  19. Armed Gunman, Bana Stevens fimo fimo, 3RqU muli shani bonse!! Pa chipata ni zee. Thats love you see there. like that at home things ifya ntwenu just happen naturally, no negotiating or begging.

Abena Titus katwishi efyo bale voka. KK ni zee. Masebo is not looking well mwe, or is it just me.

  20. ……………………………..
but then i realised it was hubby pulling behind him his african beauty, then it became clear tha the romatic side of zedians is still going on strong as long as someone gat some sort of stil to impress their kind of demsel, they’re on!!!!…………………

  21. #20 3RqU, iyo izavutako briefly mudala because at the stage we are now, we actually require a few donations ourselves!! Nafishupa kuno ifintu mkaamba!

  22. #25 Ba Moze, Mwantekunya sana. Ati shani ifya ntewnu?? I think balitampa ukuumfwana first not like uthamanganisana kwati ni nkhuku yayi.I dont see why anyone needs to beg for that.

  23. Ba Moze please tell your young brother to pull his pants up. Oh well! I bet you will tell me he was wearing sagging trousers! Looks like fashion yashupa pa Zed nakusukulu?

  24. Mrs Stevens @30. Mwaseka? Others plead mama. Ku kwada so. Some wives even ask ati, ‘how much are you giving me?’, imagine. kuilipilira ntwenu! Thats bad, ka.

  25. The boy in #13 I mean!
#32 Ba Moze, the children in Kanyama are having fun. There are no parks they can go so why not have fun? I am on about someone under the rubble here! lol!

  26. #28,Sorry Nine Chale that you did not get the message about 2 to 3 weeks ago. I changed my name officially as the cutey/wifey was too ‘bedrooomish’ and I bet offensive hence all the anonymouses threw all the crap at me….. So Thenji/ Thenjiwe Stevens where ever she appears is same with cutey /wifey. My sincere apologies that I left you out on this . How is our bambino doing?

  27. #34, Ba Moze ine ma workmate kuno bali udabwa ningo seka mwe.. mwe benangu imwe bamuna I think munyanya fyi intewnu mwee kwati ndiye nsima….. morning, lunch, supper, usiku ndiye nyanye, kansi ndiye ma complaints ayo. Be nangu kwati ndiye nchito ya mkazi munyumba! aweee..

  28. Its so nice to be an easterna.Easterners are so proud of their wives that they dont drive them in tinted cars. How prnud iam, tiyeni tibapunzise bakwasu.

  29. #39. I can assure you that njinga ride is a great priviledge and honour and lovely gesture.

  30. Iam in love with Pic # 1.Very few ladies can accept to be carried pa Njinga Yobweleka like that lady on pic one.Zo-ona this is true love nakumbwa ine mwe,Mwe Lesa Iam not complaining but kwena pakokola epo nayambila ukwipusha umwanakashi,Iam tired of this life ya singleness mwe just imagine my young brother the last born in the family alisungapo while ifwe fwebakulu nothing.Oh Lord please give me one like the one on pic #1 of course I wont be carrying her on a bike, but I wouldn’t mind one who is humble like my sister on pic #1.

How is everyone pano pa media? Awe ine Iam okay I have just come back from the beach ala kwaciwama cikangafye njikalile I almost nomba ifima assignments awe sure.

    God bless you my relatives.

  31. # 40 Mrs Thenjiwe Stevens ,
Mulibwanji , Sorry I was away for a little , bics are indeed handy ……..

  32. Lake Victoria has the largest fish in Africa, just like the E province has the largest fintwenokane, Ugandan’s amongst nsomba lovers are therefore 😉 nambala wanu with their Bodaboda alias Moto scooters or Okara as for the niga counterparts! Zedian ni panjinga nanomba mudula….. Awiiiiiiiiiiiiiii mwe!!!!

  33. Pictures of kwa-Kanyama are worrying. However, President RB Banda’s picture with the Commanders of Armed forces looks great. Thanks LT for giving me a glimpse of the real situation in Zambia. I believe, a lot of us Zambians in particular and Africans in General will have condemned the BBC or CNN if they showed such pictures in their media.

However, we need to be proud of our current status so that we as a Nation Zambia can seek better ways that will move us from our current position to something far much better even to the levels of Australia, Europe, Japan and North America.

  34. Kanyama playgrounds like most sites in Zedianland are a filthy and pathetic sight. When its dry season the “Kankungwa wihich sweeps abouts the filth and dust through the homes of most zedian settlers is a day to day ritual which people have to learn to live with or get rich and get ottta there!! Unless the funds intended to improve those problems like that are seriously taken into action and dealt with zed will remain in most areas a sh’thole

  35. #41 Iwe Matworld why blame God for hunger when food is right in your arms, are you waiting for a vision of your would be wife when that vision is right in front of you, already manifested.I can asure you my dear you will wait for eternity and never see that vision.Look at this my dear, just get any one whom you cant do without, thats how you verify that she is the one, okey, nice guy

Pic number 1 is no different from holland, bikes remain the most enjoyable mode of transport

  36. Wow! There was even time for entertainment whilst discussing the many challenges Zambia is facing amidst this global crisis!!

  37. My heart bleeds when I see Kanyama in that State. The Question is Do we have a Government in Zambia. If we do how can they let the situation deteriorate to that extent. Small wonder cholera has been endemic since the late 80s. Any of my relations and friends who will vote for these MMD characters will cease to be my relation any by copy of this posting ECZ is duly informed for I will have to verify all votes cast by my relatives

  38. #37 Thanks for filling me in. Thenjiwe is really a nice name, better than Cutey. You made a good decision. Bambino is fine, just too energetic. I think it’s the nshima.

  39. #52, Where do you get your mealie meal from? Indian shops? maybe its fotified mealie meal, too many vitamins added.

  40. Nice pictures wow,! I didnt know that LT had a thread for pictures, equally nice faces of bloggers, heeee #48

  41. …………………Viva Museveni, you know that its important to protect the skin from UV sun rays, southafrica have a nice collection of sunhats to protect all men from the blazing african sun

  42. #53 Thenjiwe I normally get mealie meal from a Ghanaian shop downtown but since it’s a bit far, I supplement with German wheat or “Weizengrieß” . Actually tastes good too.

  43. Nice pictures ba LT.Picture #13 ,was Fundanga lecturing the boy about how to dress properly?Just look at the boy’s trousers, and you expect bena Mukombwe surely to hand over the affairs of this country to such poorly dressed chaps. That is the reason this guys cannot retaire.

  44. Kanyama people organize yourselves and become a symbol of self reliance. Crushed stones are not too far away. Collect them and use them on the roads. If you do something like that, the government leadership will be fearful of you and your actions. Just try it to see if it works. I know for sure that Kanyama is full of educated people with brains that can accomplish anything. If you do nothing, the government will also do nothing for you. Don’t waste time, the time is now.

  45. LT, most of the pictures are great as they tell the true situation about Zambia and how neglected it is. So, in Zambia its really rocket-science to put in place proper drainage systems that drain surface water into rivers, dams and lakes? Now, what is going to be easy for Zambia to achieve? How can you avoid chorela (spllng) in such a dirty environment? Where do authorities spend money? Because there aren’t no new roads, universities, colleges, and hospitals being constructed in each and every provincial town.

  46. Who is the MP for Kanyama Constituency? Which political party does he belong to? Where has he been taking the CDF if he has ever been obtaining it from the MMD GRZ?

Does he belong to a political party that promised to change Zambia in 90 days or so after being elected to office? How long has he been in the MP office?

These are noble questions that need answers.

  47. BUT, WHAT MORALS HAS CHILUBA TO EVEN BE CONTRIBUTING AT SUCH MEETINGS. LITTLE WONDER OTHER SERIOUS POLITICAL PARTIES BOYCOATED THE BASH.

  48. I don’t understand why we must make such derisive comments about a man on a bicycle in Chipata. LT please don’t make fun of the situ in your captions. You said nuthin derisive about bikiloni and diffikoti but a day to day scenario in Chipata is so amusing to you…
    Pathetic!

  49. The mp for Kanyama is from the party which promised to put money in people’s pockets. This man has no priority in life, that problem of drainage in kanyama has been long over due and every year there has been cdf allocation in the area and nothing has ever been done. I wish we zambians can be wise one day to realise the truth that failure starts from your home. If you succee in the house or if you are able to set your own priorities, you will be able to set those also for a larger cloud such as a constituency. People of Kanyama realise that this mp is a non performer, remove him.

  50. picture # 1 reminds of my days when i once lived in chipata, for sure thats how couples move that side. Kanyama pictures are sad stories to tell. its high time we had people in power who understand leadership and development. Some MPs seems they dont know their job.

  51. The earthquake in L’aquila has attracted the attention of all media houses in Europe as well as the US.and the white people are busy mobilsing resources for their kings men.all the emergency rescue services in europe Have descended on L’aquila meanwhile here our kinsmen in kazungula, sesheke, kalabo have been struck by another natural calamity floods and nothing has been captured on international media save for a clip one day on CNN,so is our obligation to assist the people in L’aquila or our own who are sleeping in trees, anthills and boats with dogs.moreover even if one was to donate his latest pair of jeans or mukame can a white man wear it?no he can’t.infact with them even portable toilets have already been delivered to them whilst our kinsmen have to dive underwater or use canoes…

  52. Ba LT sometimes you annoy.i was trying to highllght the plight of our kinsmen who are affected by the floods in sesheke, kazungula, kalabo and shangombo by responding to those suggesting that donations be made to the people affected by the earthquake in L’aquila and you have kept on spiking my posting what’s so scandolous about it.is it no true the all european media icluding CNN are carrying the rescue operations live.and are the whites not mobilising aid for their kinsmen? even the pope is championing the call for aid.has any international media fully covered the flood victims ?save for a clip on CNN.even if we donated clothes to people in L’aquila can a white man wear it?and is it not true that victims of L’aquila have even been supplied with portable toilets whilst our kinsmen are…

  53. The whole mob you are seeing at the bus stop in kitwe including the minibus driver and conductor are pabwatooooooooooooooo.

  54. Thanks for the depressing pictures. Please give us both sides of the coin for our country, Lyonse its either suffering people or damaged fimo fimo nangu ifimapoliticians. Zambian is beautiful besides our suffering in some areas. Am even scared od showing my colleques some of the pics coz they will think thats all zambia is

    PEACE!

  55. Matworld, why umacitacomplain daddy wanga. Come and take me okay! or do u want me to hook you up. but here teti wishibe if u picking up a man or a woman kaili alot of men cross dress
