Exhibitors not daunted by economic downturn

Share

Agriculture and Commercial Society of Zambia (ACSZ) says it is optimistic that the global economic downturn would not have adverse effects on this year’s agriculture and commercial show.

ACSZ president Paul Mumbuluma said in an interview today that several local and international exhibitors have expressed interest to participate in the forthcoming Agriculture and Commercial Show.

Mr. Mumbuluma said this was a signal that the most companies were ready to take part in year’s agriculture and commercial show.

He said the Show Society did not anticipate a fall in the number of exhibitors as most companies would want to sell their products and services even in the light of the economic meltdown.

Mr. Mumbuluma disclosed that so far about 18 countries had through the Ministry of Community Development and Social Services shown interest to participate in cultural activities during the show.

ACSZ would soon have a meeting with exhibitors after which the society would be in the position to determine how many companies would be participating at the agriculture and commercial show this year.

  1. This thing of always using “the global economical down turn” as an excuse to not deliver must cease. Just go and exhibit and shut the !@@*! up! For crying out loud. And yes, 3RqU Let the Agric weekend roll on. About time too!

  2. That’s a good spirit ACSZ is showing. When the going gets tough, the tough will get going.
The only way to overcome these difficult times is by introducing outstanding products whlch are fascinating, environmentally responsible and also globally marketable.

  3. what economic crises? who said that the agriculture sector in Africa has been affected by the current eco crises??? I dont understand why educated people act so fontinic. if anything, the agriculture industry is booming in africa, especially our region. the middle-east north africa and even our nothen neighbour DRC is ready to buy food from us. lekani boza. if there was
crises in agriculture industry then why is zambeef, zambian sugar and other doing so well on the LuSE?

  4. Credit crunch is a British-steered attempt to impose the dictatorship of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) on the entire planet, wiping out all hope of economic recovery, the modernization of the developing countries, and national sovereignty at the same time.
Under this plan, the IMF would dictate the economic policies of all states. The IMF orthodoxy is austerity, sacrifice, deregulation, privatization, union busting, wage reductions, free trade, the race to the bottom, and prohibitions on advanced technologies. These policies would strangle humanity.
