Traditional healer angers PTA at Choma School

Share

Parents who have children at Choma Day High School have
taken a swipe at a traditional healer is allegedly marketing his services in the school vicinity.

School Parent Teacher Association (PTA) chairman, Teddy Kabwe told ZANIS in Choma today that the traditional healer has placed bill boards advertising his services within the school premises under unexplained circumstances.

Mr. Kabwe said it was difficult to understand why the healer would choose the school premises, leaving other strategic places to advertise his services.
He said it was morally wrong to place the adverts in learning institutions as they may corrupt the minds of pupils who might be tempted to seek remedies for their social problems from him.

Mr Kabwe has since implored the Choma Municipal Council to deal with what he termed as public nuisance exhibited by the traditional healer.

He said parents were unhappy with the insecure learning environment at the institution and would therefore want the municipal council to quickly move in and correct the situation.

Mr Kabwe also complained about a private abattoir that is discharging
raw effluent onto the school grounds.
He said pupils and their teachers were experiencing intolerable smells emanating from animal blood and manure that are thrown within the school premises.

Mr Kabwe said the council should decisively take action over public nuisances that were provoking anger among pupils and parents.

  1. Headline: Isangoma and abattoir attack school in Choma – Conclusion: People in Choma have gross disrespect for education.

  2. Isn’t this a free world? The Isangoma is free to administer his services wherever he deems siutable.

  3. Aweee ,the Sangoma was advertising to the kids to tell their parents at home… and for the Teachers to witch-hunt … hehheh..

  4. The school can simply report this to the police, for this is trespassing and exposing children to dangers namalomba hahahahahahahahahaha. Authorities can tell the ones running the abattoir to seek another way do dispose of their matumbos, give it to the local dogs, Ngala imbwa ku Zambia. It is great the PTA has spoken

  5. This sangoma is clever. Advertising in the school premises! His advert was like, “How to pass exams, Want a man/woman, be rich, etc…. Contact DR Chakuti. What do you expect from these young ones, stop studying ………. The sangoma is very poor and in slippers but he can make someone rich……. God help us.

  6. this chap should be nabbed for promoting prostitution @school…imagine some advert,”want to satisy your man?” …kick such bastards off school going children…he may end up raping the gals and teachers may end up having sexual relations with pupils for maybe how to be promoted ….sleep with five girls in aday…hahahahahaa

  7. The PTA Chairman just wants to be heard nationwide. The school authorities do need the intervention of the local authority to deal with trespassers. Remove them or it it fails use ZP. There is a member of staff involved or may be the School Manager. Choma High School is targeted because of its population I reckone the traditional man is selling sex enhencement muti. Its the real thing for those who call themselves T. BULLS. After all its a free market economy though the location could not be ideal for such business. Who knows. Mr. Daniel Munkombwe any comments on this issue as Provincial Minister and elder of Choma. Mr. Kabwe PTA Chairman is that not your business deal? Mr. Headmaster why sit idle whilst your land is being encroached upon by Sangomas. Next time it will be done sch hall etc

  8. Have been to Choma to day and saw one of the Sangoma’s advert at the entry into town from Lusaka. He is a Dr MCP coming from Norhern Province. His advert depicts a man and woman being boiled live in clay pots. The abattoer discharging raw effluent is called ZAM ZAM and is bing run by Somalians – perhaps a away of saying thank you for the good Zambian hospitality.

  9. So what did the Ng’anga bill boards say:

    Vamuchikwati k500, Vachikondi k10000, Vamunchito k150000, Vamumumala, k13000, general consultation,Free, Kulowa Ba rival k120000,

  10. So what did the Ng’anga bill boards say:, we take cash , cheques and all Bank cards, you can even pay in installments. We also accept body parts exchange
