2010 Group C Round-Up

The four team’s in 2010 World/African Cup Group C qualifiers enter their final weekend of training camps ahead of their respect qualifying matches during the weekend of June 5-7.

Zambia wind-up their 2-week closed-door training camp in Johannesburg on Sunday with a proposed friendly match this weekend against Orlando Pirates B side.

The team is due to return home this Monday, June 1 and fly directly to Ndola from Johannesburg ahead of their game against Rwanda at Konkola Stadium in Chililabombwe next Saturday.

Meanwhile, Rwanda are scheduled to play an international friendly match away against Malawi on Sunday in Blantyre and Branko Tucak’s side will later fly into Zambia on June 3.

Elsewhere, Egypt, who are away to Algeria away on June 7 in Algiers, are also in international action this Sunday.

Egypt coach Hassan Shehata is taking the African champions to the Middle East to face Oman  in Muscat.

And Algeria are currently in the south of France where Rabah Saadane and his men set-up training camp this past Monday until June 4.

However, Saadane has not disclosed of any official warm-up match while in France.

Egypt and Zambia are joint top of Group C on 1 point and beat Rwanda and Algeria also on 1 point each on goal difference in a tight pool after a game played.
