  1. Definately the person who is charge of week in pictures comes from the East. This time he made sure the Eastern Province was on LT. Nice pictures but next time be fair.

  2. LT, you are not serious. Where are the pictures from the Reed dance? What’s sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander.

  3. those monkey have been at state house for over 2decades and have never caused any trouble something is really wrong with RB…im sure there is something the monkeys have seen and fear they will tell, so before they tell the post he evicted them….so the question is what have the monkeys seen? give them bananas and see the infor they will give out so LT talk to the monkeys

  4. Pic #1 ati operation “Shining Example”, to whom exactly? Monkeys or an overt example to RB’s political enemies? RB is very childish and senile if you ask me!

  5. Pic1 Shame our deported Heroes Pic14/15 is that Shrek on the board? and Pic16 That Great East road is to small to be a main road.

  6. # 4. Monkeys’ life span cannot exceed 2 decades and I do not see anything wrong in sending monkeys to Munda Wanga Garden by our lovely President RB. Even yourself could have done the same if your pets were a nuisance at your home. Please let’s not politicize trivial issues. Viva MMD

  7. The Great East Road does not look that great at all. We are stuck with the same road infrastructure thirty-five years after independence and following the departure of colonial rule.

  8. if I where to be president of Zambia my 1st priority would be Roads. Not only are we way behind in everything (except wictcraft ofcourse) but our Roads are disgusting and very embarrasing. Malawi has got far better roads than us. Is it because our leaders are always flying that they dont know how stone age our roads are?

  9. I am from Fiera(originally wher my fore fathers came from etc) the name hence my name could tell you something…oh these days known as Luangwa, its a beautiful place nice place for holidays, honey moons etc. Great pictures LT. By the Way Luangwa is not in eastern Province its part of Lusaka province…Just a point of correction to the earlier comment from one of the bloggers.

  10. LT, what is it that RB saw in Swaziland that you don’t want us to see? You have conspired with state house to deny us the opportunity to compare and contrast the pictures from Chansa Kabwela and those from the Reed dance so that we can make an informed opinion as to which of the two constitute p**n.

  11. If I became president of that poor country called Zambia my first priority would be to bring back those monkeys. Kanitundila ala! Bring them back!

  12. Iwe J nabanobe, where are ka Teta`s photos when he was being bundled back on the plane in SA? I hear photographs were taken please publish them. And, yes we want to see him landing at LIA. People bushe ka Teta takala caka nanomba?

  13. I wonder why we call these roads GREAT. They are too small. Thtts why they cause congestion when an abnormal load is being carried. Zambia needs to work on the roads. Otherwise, nice pics. Thanx LT

  14. wow the east of the country is in need of a serious face lift or plastic surgery, that entrace to Chipata was surely erected by His Excellency the Former President of Zambia Dr Kenneth David Kaunda whne landrovers where still fashionable…. “Welcome To Sinda Feel free” yah yah yah well comrades let us pray for change …. change the dang sign ba kapala no more signs of that RB potty face for monkeys

  15. I personally thought that if an international visitor went to state house and saw a monkey first, that would truly send a message of hmility on the part of the President. Thats truly African and patriotic but wait, if that president’s aim is to amass wealth like FTJ and Kanitundila, they have absolutely no empathy for the creatures. Look at how FTJ destroyed national parks like the Lochinvar. They resonate at the same frequency those two. Once he wanted to make factories in the Luangwa National Park. He was heard saying “imwe naimwe, finama fye filya”. How sick!!!! Yikeeeeeeesss I feel like puking.

  16. Pix # 19 (welcome to Chipata) has reminded me of my days at the only great school in Eastern Province if not Zambia (CHIZZY METALS)
Good ba LT for reminding me also of the road i used to use during my school days

  17. Ba LT, picture No. 18 are just concrete pipes and not culverts! A culvert is a conduit used to enclose a flowing body of water. It may be used to allow water to pass underneath a road, railway, or embankment for example. Culverts can be made of many different materials; steel, polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and concrete are the most common.

  18. Wow Chama Chakomboka, you engineer or something!! I like your lecture to LT. You see surf means washing powder in Zambia just as colgate means toothpaste and salad is cooking oil, meat is beet and many more.

  19. Pic12. WELCOME TO SINDA, fee free or feel free? Clarify which one is applicable, LT. The two mean different things.

  20. Infrastructure development is the way to go. We live in a country that does not value engineering and yet, engineering is precisely one of the base vocations required to develop. Viva engineering!

  21. I have never come across, in my entire life, a man as tall as the one in the last picture(in black). His waistline is the height of the two lady dancers.

  22. The Monkeys only started to misbehave when Chimpuno moved to Statehouse. The monkeys are deprived of their daily rations and therefore have resorted to straying out in search of food… This is not a smart operation but a CRUEL operations.. This should attract condemanation from Animal activistis.. It is obvious that the Monkeys look depressed from the pictures…But I am sure they are better off beeing away from Lupiya… Let these Monkeys be an Example..LET US KICK OUT LUPIYA FROM STATEHOUSE COME 2011

  23. LT MULEBAKO SERIOUS….ALL I SEE IN THIS PICS IA THAT YALIKOSA PAZED LIFE. IF MONKIES CAN BE EVICTED AFTER MORE THAN 20 YEARS AT STATEHOUSE WHERE ARE WE REALLY GOING? OUR PRESIDENT HAS BECOME A GLOBE TROTTER EVERY DAY HE IS TRAVELLING WHEN DOES HE HAVE THE TIME TO HAVE …………S. E. X…

  24. Hey L.T. very nice pics.. Luangwa bridge pics reminds me of the nice fresh fried fish I boufght 9 months ago, ….. the last time I visited Zed.. nostalgic…..yummy…

Then came welcome to Sinda and finally welcome to CHIPATA!!!! WOW!!! had a joy ride wiith my daughter… quite an adventure… The lovely couple in Nyimba on a bicycle… ni chikondi……..,

  25. Uluse to the 61 monkeys…. they should learn how to sunda… otherwise now confined to Mundawanga gardens..

  26. The great east rood does not look great. We need a freeway or an inter provincial dual carriage ways. What is Lungawangwa doing as Transport minister?

  27. Monkeys evicted because one of them peed on a president. This goes to show where we are as Africans. I know there are people who would do anything to have monkeys in their back gardens. Yet, our president has kicked them out. Africans will never stop amusing!

  28. Iyee mayo wandi ala nshatala monapo umona ubukulu RB like the nose of Shakapwasha. No wonder they are best friends. LT now we want the pictures of your female employees.

  29. My and all other Zambians in the nine provinces home state. Aye Nayo-oya you are Zambian so whether from the west or Central Eastern province too belongs to you, we are the new freedom fighters, for after independence all we got was liberty, freedom is from God. Great pictures na masau.

  30. Which one is the monkey that gave RB some kidney juice? They need to give it a name because I need to send him some banana’s to feast on. Pity if I was in zed I would have adopted a few .

  31. The monkey in the middle looks he does not take s..h..i..t,so he’s the culprit ba shushu at state house could not ID him, can’t you see how his homies are protective?

  32. MATWORLD!!! YAYAYA KALE!!!!! ATI SHANI? HOW IS EVERYONE?? AWE GUYS I WAS BLOCKED FOR OVER A MONTH.. KATIWSHI I THINK I COMMITTED TREASON.. AWE IT IS GOOD TO BE BACK, I HAVE MISSED YOU GUYS SOOOO MUCH..NGA KA GELO KA DAISY HOW IS SHE?? I AM SURE MY MANIFESTO HAS EXPIRED NOW.. GUD THING I AM BACK. ICAN ALSO SEE SOME NEW PEOPLE HERE INTERESTING. IM BACK AND READY TO GIVE MY OPINION.. I THINK BA LT WAS SCARED THAT MY VIEWS WOULD HAVE LED TO AN OVERTHROW OF THE GOVERNMENT.. ANY WAY I UNDERSTAND THEM. MUCH LOVE

  33. There was no need to relocate those monkeys they were part of tourism attraction. Each time a new envoy was presenting creditails they were also at hand to welcome them to State house. The environment was good for them. Pissing on the President was just an ordinary incident. Thes best they could have done was to crop them and offer them to our brothers from the North for a dish at a cost.

  34. Nice pictures, oh pa Luangwa, bembas be careful ichimpwena, there is onnly fish there and not those guys who have been vacated from state house. Zambia is a very poor country, see pictures to the east, and this RB is not serious, those roads have been like that anyway. I like the view of the mpangwe mountain in katete, Welcome to chipata, remember going to see mum then at st monicas school.

  35. Poor monkeyz. They had a nice time at State House, rubbing shoulderz withe “apam” or “elite” and now they have to face the realitiez of living in some zoo.

  36. #45 Kambongolo, There is no chance under this failing government for any animal rights in Zambia when Zambians are denied basic human rights.

  37. #55, Madame Lara, its true it has been a while, I am doing fine and I was wondering as to what happened to you. I do skip L.T every now and then but I do peep to see the real Zambian news, pick a laugh where I can afford….

Nice and very meaningful Pics from L.T. this time around, weldone… Big thumbs up….

  38. I lived in Chipata as a young boy for some years. I left the town in1972. Those images of the ‘Great’ East road, the welcome signs and the general environment look exactly as I remember them in 1972. I may be mistaken, but that is what I can see. Its still nostalgic, though.

  39. Saw these pics when i was far away from home for quite a while!OOOH,THE NOSTALGIA!UNEXPLAINABLE!VIVA ZED…THE REAL AFRICA!
