It’s not true that people in Shangombo have rejected Hearses

Shangombo District Commissioner (DC) Misheck Kabayo has disputed allegations that people in the district have rejected the hearses that was recently bought by the Ministry of Local Government.

Mr Kabayo said the statement that was aired on channel Africa by some opposition politicians that people of Shangombo have rejected the hearses was untrue.

He explained that people in the district were misinformed by some politicians about the usage of the hearses hence they instead preferred an ambulance because they did not have the right information about the matter.

Mr Kabayo further said it came to light during a community meeting that people had distorted information about the usage of the hearses hence the reason they were demanding for an ambulance instead of the hearse.

The DC said the local people have since appreciated government for the purchase of the hearses saying it will go a long way in helping them during funerals because most people use scotch carts and sleighs to carry their loved ones.

Mr Kabayo further assured the people of Shangombo that an ambulance will soon be sent to the district.

  1. Shangombo residents always seem to hit the headlines on LT with their queer behavior. Is it genetic?

  2. Blogging on a Saturday evening can turn into a monologue. Ni Saturday night fever, so nabaya mukuchilisha bonse ka? Awe kanshi naine naya, kuti washala.

The 9/11 terrorist attack on America which left almost 3,000 people dead was an “inside job”, according to a group of leading academics.
Around 75 top professors and leading scientists believe the attacks were puppeteered by war mongers in the White House to justify the invasion and the occupation of oil-rich Arab countries.

  4. Ba Chapwa, I am not able to relate to what you have written.. I think I have studied the 9/11 case longer than anyone on this site and of course I have my own convictions but I feel this is the wrong forum to debate the matter. We all have different world views but I think it is inappropriate to shove them into each others’ face everytime we meet .. so now in short, please spare us your oracles and passion for the USA because it is not the only “land of the free and home of the brave”…We are here to discuss matters relating to our motherland Zambia. Every thing else simply abuses the purpose of this site.
    Thank you and goodnight.

  5. Incredible. These guys wanted an ambulance but somehow they settled for a hearse? Musta been a heck of an explanation from the DC

  6. Some dude seems to be obsessed with the 9/11 story. Drop it. This is the Lusaka Times, not Washington. It has no bearing on us. We are not interested in it. You have riddled the blog with the comment for 2 days and no one has shown given a fart about the story. Learn to take a hint. Your posts are becoming annoying

“HOW 9/11 CHANGED THE WORLD” This what we read in the papers. If Lusaka is not part of the world, then i will drop it.

  8. The DC himself did not tell the truth to his people about those Tetamalilos. It is not that those guys are dull no, but the way info is passed

  9. Convert those hearses into Ambulances, paint them white with a red cross and bang we move on…that is what the people want…..simple

  10. The Shangombo people are more wiser than most of the Zambians, because they have noticed that there are more pressing needs than those mandamandas. they need medecines in the hospital if ever they have one, they also need a cleaner hospital proper health facilities than they have now ;; ofcouse an umbulance to carry the sick not mandamanda who wants to die anyway

  11. Zambians must learn to respect people;; you know when you live in Lusaka doesnt mean that you are wiser than those in remote villeges. far from the fact niether if you are in govt;; you cannot be any better than the wise villagers they know what they want
