46. #44 we have been plying football since the 70’s.Look at the state of football in Zambia.We can’t even produce teams with great local players like Power 90 or the likes of Nkana “Devil,Devil”.

    You just can’t go on and pretending that there is no problem with our football.So qualifying to the AFCON and being eliminated in the first round will not solve the problem but just prolongs it.Staying away from the AFCON,will help us concentrate on rebuilding our local football.That is where the problem lies.It’s not the coach but the players who have the problem.

    We need to give our National coaches,be they local or foreign,good local players to choose from.

48. Bane, we over rate ourselves. We have sub-standard administration. Many people thought that with immature Kalusha Bwalya, things were going to be better but you can see for yourselves; things are even worse!!!

    Let school/youth football be well promoted. Let us have our players playing in Europe and not South Africa, China or Russia. If we are not careful, even Angola will be a far cry!!!

51. Zamabia used to beat big teams yes but do you people think the current crop of players have the balls? This is what happens when you were too young to remember. I have been on here giving examples of big, tal and athletic our players used to be, let alone the facilities we had in the then RCM,NCCM and later ZCCM. Names like Hangunyu, Ashoes, Efford, Jerico Shinde, Chitalu, Alex Chola, Peter Kaumba, Emmy Musonda, Golden Kazika, John Kalusa (though small-very fit and athletic), and the others. I know some were from Lusaka and Kabwe (ZR), but they were fit, tall and very athletic. Give me just two names from the current team who are even half what these guys used to be.
