CHIEF Chitimukulu of the Bemba people has urged the electorate in Kasama Central constituency to vote for MMD candidate Burton Mugala.

And the chief has warned he will not entertain political parties promoting tribalism in his chiefdom.

Meanwhile Chief Chitimikulu has taken a swipe at the opposition Patriotic Front (PF) for what he called culture of insults and disrespect for those in authority.

When President Rupiah Banda called on him at his palace yesterday, Chief Chitimukulu called for peaceful campaigns and urged the electorate in Kasama Central to vote for Mr Mugala in the October 15 parliamentary by- election.

“I am just praying that the ruling MMD candidate wins this by-election. Iam blessing your campaign and call on the voters to vote for the MMD candidate,” the chief said.

He said the people of Kasama Central should vote with one heart especially that the Government through President Banda had put up many developmental projects.

He said the people should be careful and avoid following political leaders who had been blindly leading them into the opposition, which had no capacity to offer any development to the country.

Chief Chitimukulu who pledged total support to President Banda’s Government said he would not be forced to support opposition political parties that were not in Government as it was a policy for chiefs to support the Government of the day.[quote]

On tribalism Chief Chitimukulu warned he would not tolerate those promoting the vice in the province because he was chief for all the people regardless of tribe.

He said freedom fighters had fought for freedom of the nation not for one tribe and wondered what those advocating tribalism would achieve at the end of the day.

“As chief, people should know that I represent all the people regardless of tribe and I must warn here that I will not entertain political leaders coming here to bring confusion by encouraging tribal politics which will not take Zambia anywhere,” he said.

And President Banda told the chief that he was happy with the reception from the people of Kasama.

Mr Banda said he was happy that Chief Chitimukulu had condemned tribalism, which was being fanned by some political parties. He was also happy that the chief had denounced violence.

[Times of Zambia]
The president was also happy that the chief’s health had improved since the last time he saw him.

  1. Analyzing the President’s speech in Kasama and other statements that have been made concerning MMD MP’s etc having easier access to the Govt/ Developmental funds, it should be made very clear concerning which clause in the constitution allows that and if there is a clause then MMD MP’s should be held to a very high standard than their counterpart MP’s from the opposition. The MMD MP’s etc need to be made accountable for those funds against the development they have brought to the nation in the last 18 years.

  2. WHEN THE CHIEF WAS SAYING HE DIDN’T LIKE INSULTS TO RB. RB WENT STRAIGHT TO A RALLY AND INSULTED GB THAT HE HAD A BIG TAMMY AND HE SHOULD FILL IT WITH HIS MEALIE MEAL AND GO TO SLEEP. CHIEF YOU ARE LOST THIS IS POLITICS

  3. What chief would trade Royal Pride and respect for political advantage? Shame on you Chitimukulu you are an embarrassment to the Bemba Royal Establishment. Piece of advise is that you stay clear off partisan politics and preserve our Establishment, Twapapata

  4. MMD did not adopt Bernard Mpundu who was a prefered candidate by the MMD electorates because his father is Tonga by tribe. Is that not tribalism that is practised by the MMD? So the chief is saying rubbish. We all know that chiefs received brown envelopes in Chiluba’s time and they have also started getting bribes from Banda. Look at the behaviour of chief Mukuni who was found campaigning for an MMD candidate in Kazungula district. The chiefs are completely useless and I think we MUST abolish chiefdorms in Zambia.

  5. MMD gaining ground – Kunda

VICE President George Kunda has called on MMD members to be wary of people trying to stabilise the ruling party and bring about anarchy in the country.

Mr Kunda was speaking in Ndola yesterday at the launch of the MMD card renewal exercise on the Copperbelt.

He called on the MMD cadres to guard the party jealously against people who are trying to stabilise it.

Mr Kunda said the MMD was slowing gaining ground on the Copperbelt, in Northern and Luapula provinces.
“Slowly will be a strong hold in the three provinces as we are gaining ground,” he said.

  6. He said MMD should welcome the members who are defecting to the ruling party.

Mr Kunda said people should be careful as the United Party for National Development- Patriotic Front pact was bent on hatred for President Banda and the entire ruling party leadership.

“Some MPs in the PF-UPND pact in parliament are divided and are going round in Southern Province to tell their cadres that the pact was evil,” he said.

Mr Kunda said some MPs in the pact have described the pact as ‘Chilingalinga’, a Tonga word meaning a double headed snake.

  7. He said the Chilingalinga has no direction because it cannot move on either way.

“In Northern Province the PF leader Michael Sata is saying he will be president while in Southern province UPND president Hikainde Hichilema is also promising people that he will be a national president.

“We defeated them in the presidential elections and they are bitter and are trying to stabilise the country,” he said.

The Vice President said President Banda’s Government will maintain the peace and tranquillity that the country has been experiencing since independence.

  8. Its time people started debating the relevance of chiefs in Zambia, they are just a drain on the national resources. Why should we even spend millions on buying vehicles for these parasites? If it were not for tourism benefits that accrue from the British monarchy we wouldn’t have even heard of Prince Harry and his bro. Its no rocket science these guys are just a burden on tax payers. The main reason we are a third( if not tenth) nation is we don’t apply even the little we’ve learnt from our dilapidated schools/universites to improve our lives. Those who run business know how that to make profit one needs to minimize costs and where its not possible efficiency in the utilization of resources becomes cardinal.

  9. Mr Kunda said President Banda was providing sound leadership to the people of Zambia .

He said despite the world economic crunchm, Government has performed to its expectation and that there was stability in the local currency.

Mr Kunda said the 2010 national budget that was presented in Parliament has been commended by a lot of people.

  10. CHIEF YOUR SUBJECTS WON’T EAT YOUR HEALTH. GIVE THEM A DIRECTION. MPEZENI KNOWS IT WELL FOR HIS SUBJECTS. MWATUSEBANYA

  11. Mojo perhaps the question that we need to be asking the Veep is what campaign promises have they fulfilled to assess their performance highly, we need to go through them one by one and give them scores. The stability and gain of the kwacha needs to be analyzed correctly to understand what factors have led to the stability and gain. GDP measurements also need to come into the picture what was it before RB took over and what is it now, before Zambia gives credit to the MMD. In short we need to see and measure valid performance indicators before we give credit.

  12. chitimukulu u re an shame to the bemba establishment. stay away from politics otherwise u will continue coming out a fool in this dirty game they call politics

  13. If you don’t vote MMD, ulindoshi. If you lie against and insult MMD you are unpatriotic PF kaponya. Remember now onwards all patriots are going blue. These opposition thugs will only feed you insults, hatred, hopelessness, failure, hallucinations, jealous, valueless blogging, unpatriotism and deny you life time opportunities.

  14. This is some analysis of the 2011 elections
Lusaka Province = PF (UPND/PF Pact) ,Copperbelt Province = PF (UPND/PF Pact), Southern Province = UNPD (UPND/PF Pact) ,Western Province = UPND (UPND/PF Pact), Northern Province = PF (UPND/PF Pact) ,Eastern Province = MMD, Luapula Province = Swing State PF (UPND/PF Pact) ? Central Province = Swing State MMD? North Western Province = Swing State UPND (UPND/PF Pact)? A Recommendation to the UPND/PF Pact for them to solidify their base in their strongholds and to work hard in the Swing states, they need to employ registration Managers in the swing states to aggressively Register new voters while HH and Sata concentrate on Campaining

  15. Zambians what you should have understood by now is that the only normal and respected chiefdom in Zambia is Barotseland. HRH The Litunga would never sink to the depths the Mpenzenis and Chitimukulu are sinking to. Mpenzeni and Chitimukulu and the rest of the ntuntemba chiefdoms are jokers.

  16. Paramount Chief Chitimukulu has been caught up in a political web. He has urged the pipo of Kasama Central not to vote for the opposition but suppose the opposite happens on 15/10/09. Now I acn see how our chiefs are being manipulated by politicains be they from the ruling party or the opposition. The ChiefS must be above partisan politics or else they will suffer collateral damage.

  17. Mojo on the Veep’s statement that the MMD is slowly gaining ground on the Copperbelt , Northern and Luapula Provinces ,it would have been better if the Veep had provided numbers so that Zambians can analyze his statements objectively.

  18. Seriously we need divine intervention come 2011 because humanly its next to impossible to dislodge this herd of hyenas irrespective of their political parties. What we need is a brand new broom to sweep away the dead wood because other than that we should as well forget about development at least not in our life time. People like our own Senior Citizen should for once rise above party politics for the sake of our brothers and sister many of whom don’t even know where their next meal will come from. My prayer is God brings in someone honest from anywhere to give hope and direction in our country regardless of the his/her sponsoring polititcal party

  19. Ba Chtimukulu has lost it, no two ways about it. He has been reduced to a cadre for MMD. What a shame for a chief of his ranking. Calling the spade by it’s name, this is uninspiring and ridiculous. Shame on this Chief!

  20. #27 Mala Msana Wandalama. I hear you. What a shame! There is seriously something wrong with that continent Africa. Limbi chachine twalitipwa! This is unbelievable.

  21. BUT BA CHIEF ABA CHIPUBA; ARE CHIEFS EVEN RELEVANT IN THIS AGE AND TIME OF GLOBALISATION AND MODERNITY INCLUDING DEMOCRACY. CHIEFS IN ZAMBIA HAVE BECOME SO POOR THAT ONE CAN EVEN BUY THEM WITH MONEY TO SAY ALL SORTS OF THINGS. CHIEF CHITIMUKULU; A GRADE SEVEN DROP OUT.

  22. What hurts is you Africans coming up with all the stupid talk about intambi. Where is intambi here when a chief starts kissing people`s back sides? The man is an i d i o t who doesn`t even deserve to be called a chief. His subjects go for days without food yet he comes up with this rubbish. Ban this waste of money idea of chiefs. They are good for nothing i di ot s!

  23. I am very happy with these developments because MMD is a good party. Well done Chief Chitimukulu for rallying behind MMD

  24. #23 Manuel. Dont forget the Mwata of Luapula. We look after him so well that he does not need crumbs of bread from any one. He is so resourciful that slowly we are leaving the urban areas to settle in that great value. Come to think of it- There was only Umutomboko and Kuomboka before every one started to celebrate their customs.

  25. I agree with #3. In fact poverty is a curse. This Chief is in Malole Constituency and for that matter Mungwi District. If indeed he is a paramount chief let him be above poliitics and be a chief for all. Why get involed in the Kasama Central cosnstituency. He also forgets easily tribal politics were started by RB in Eastern province. RB should also be the last person to comment on tribal politics. Just check out how many Easterners are camped at plot 1 starting with the Jeres the Bandas etc -etc. Also try to ask him to fire Dora……………… Shame on them

  26. Hey Ba Chief, am surprised that U are now a full time politician. Am sure U have recieved a heavy brown envelope to spice up your tongue. Go on with yr rabish talks and support for these i di ots and we shall meet U on the other side !!!!!!

  27. It is wrong for chief chitimukulu to take sides. it will be shameful if is subjects and people of Kasama Central vote for the oposition. His voice will become useless going forward.

  28. I am ready to be a foot soldier and Campaign Manager for the UPND-PF pact. If we vote Sata or HH, Zambia cant get any worse but Hopeful Better. Let us change this evil govt of Rupiah Band before the cancer spread to the whole country.

  29. Mwata Kazembe: Tribalist, Corrupt & drunkard, Chitimukula: Political Hooliga, Cadre, No direction, Chief Mukuni: Political Prostitute & alinya, Chief Mwanachingwala: Embicile and Lunatic, LItunga: Cunning & Dictator. Mpezeni: Definition of ignorance, Nalubamba: Loud mouth. the rest are eaters and no good for their subjects: Restrict these chiefs if not, abolish them.. They are good for nothing in hi modern era

  30. Did somebody mention The Litunga? The chap is as useless as Chtimukulu>These chiefs are a huge liability to Zambia, most of them are just drunkards and womanisers…………….Shame

  31. Thats what money can do to someone, bachitimukulu babatwala ku india ba chinja nenzelu awe mayo no wonder lwashitishe mwana lesa.If anything he is not even supposed to say anything he should be neutral and let his people vote with their own brains.

  32. Shame on chief Chitimukulu indeed! He should be ashamed of himself! Thats if he even knows what that means!!!! Shame on RB too for not rising above petty politics and insulting GBM! They are such an embarrassment to Zambia. When old people use such unbecoming language, you wonder why young people act the way they do!

  33. Before there were chiefs, Southern Africa had kings and queens. Along came the Brits who captured queens and sent them to islands in the Indian ocean, replaced them with kings of their choice and then told the kings they were now “chiefs” and there was only one Queen. This guy is only living up to a history of “yes bwana”. Let’s hope his “subjects” remember he cannot follow them into the voting booth.

  34. On “On tribalism Chief Chitimukulu warned he would not tolerate those promoting the vice in the province because he was chief for all the people regardless of tribe“, which all people is he implying about?
On the tribalism being noticed in Kasama and Northern Province, do not worry off no one can hide his/her true character always.

Have a blessed day all and make sure you help bring back Zambia to normalcy — since the MMD has terribly failed to govern our country well.

    _
    Matthew 6:33 + KJV Bible
But seek ye first the kingsom of God and His righteousness and all things shall be added unto you.

  35. Maestro you should be the last person to talk about tribalism you i di o t. Chi colour chobe. Yaba I tall lay kwati likwa chifi uyuwine.

  36. Welcome Maesro, did you die! Good to hear from you. I beg you to debate with someone called senior citizen, he stole your limelight.

  37. Iwe chi #56. Only fools wouldn`t know you are the same person. Utuma tall lay ubunono kwati twakwa chitimukulu. Niwe ka Maestro. Wa tall mber no call!

  38. People honestly the man has to serve where his bread is buttered most. After sending him for treatment do you honestly expect him to support PF? even Sata reconciled wit Mwanawasa after his treatment in S.A…Like Danny sang kaleza dollar ili nachibanda!

  39. The real Chief niba Litunga. He has principles. Lets work together to bring change in Zambia. In every tribal there are black sheep. We have to work hard and fight one common cause. Thieves should not be etertained. Zambia must bring its glory back – time when we did not need a visa to go to UK! time when we had no beggars, street kids……all these vices were brought by Chief THIEF!

  40. Chiefs represent subjects who have the right to choose their political affiliation. It is unfair for a chief to make a stand on which political party his subjects should support. He is supposed to be a chief for everyone.

  41. Goodmorning all

Too many insults and vulgar speech here today, one wonders what the webmaster is doing? “Blessed be the man that walketh (or bloggeth) not in the counsel of the ungodly.” i’m out for now.

  42. shame on chief chitimukukulu just because this useless govt has oiled your hands, you want to forcce us to support ba lazo, we shall strip your chiefteness when pf forms the govt. viva basata and gbm abash yamasoya and your useless govt.

  43. Litunga is UNIP so is also as bad as other chiefs. this is the reason why the province has remained the poorest in the country

  44. #65, since when did you become spokesperson for the Litunga? Please do not digress, Honourable Chitimukulu mentioned it himself, mwebantu do not justify ubupuba.

  45. As much as we want to respect chiefs, once they enter partisan politics they open themselves up for attack and ridicule. Chiefs should be above partisan politics, but should instead play a unifying and mediatory role, regardless of their personal affiliations. I believe somewhere in the bible it says “money is the root of all evil”. This is evident in all layers of our society. Our chiefs have sold their souls for second hand japanese 4*4’s. The likes of Mulongoti, Shikapwasha and all the other political prostitutes, the Kapokos, Chiluba’s etc can all be attributed to the persuit of money. “What shall it gain a man to gain the world and lose his soul”.

  46. can we expect anything else after the govt taking u to india fo special treatment at the expense of the poor taxpayer’s cash? i thought chief were to be non-partisan……whats happening now?? everywhere we have nichekeleko…….

  47. this chief is such an embarassment to the Bembas, and many more unprincipled Chiefs will follow suit, just observe as things unfold in this resurrected little thief era.

  48. When chiefs back the opposition, they are told to keep out of politics, but when they back the ruling MMD, it is ok? Why don’t they level the playing field? I would like to suggest that the Electoral Act should be ammended to ban all political leaders from visiting chiefs and paramount chiefs during the campaign period. No “courtesy calls” to palaces and no chiefs should attend political ralies. Our honourable traditional rulers should be non-partisan.

  49. President Rupiah Banda says some investors are willing to revive operations at the closed Kasama Coffee Company.

Mr. Banda says government would facilitate the re-opening of the company in order to boost economic activities and create employment for the local people.
He says Finance Minister, Situmbeko Musokotwane, is in Kasama to see how best operations at the coffee company could be resuscitated as soon as possible.

The President was speaking in Kasama on Sunday during a public rally to drum up support for MMD candidate, Burton Mugala, in the October 15 Kasama Central parliamentary by-election.

At the same rally, Commerce Minister, Felix Mutati, said government will in the next two days meet investors willing to re-open Kateshi Coffee Plantation.

    Mr. Mutati also said…

  50. Government has released K1.1 billion towards the improvement of water supply in Musenga township in Kasama district.

President Rupiah Banda disclosed this when he addressed a rally at Musenga in Kasama on Sunday.

Mr. Banda also said K400 million has been set aside for up-grading Musenga township.

The President said government has heard the cries of the people of Musenga hence its decision to allocate funds to upgrade infrastructure in the township.

  51. WHY DID THEY NOT DO SUCH PROJECTS BEFORE. I WONDER WHY PEOPLE STILL VOTE FOR SUCH PEOPLE EVEN IN THE FACE OF FAKE PROMISES??

  52. No disrespect to the chief. How old is this chief? RBee is 72 yrs old. Where are all the young people from Kasama with a vision? People have given MMD 20 years to rule…MMD is always talking about what they are going to do….How is the road infrastructure, schools, hospitals , teachers and nurses wages and health system? How long will Zedians in Kasama absorb speeches on what MMD IS GOING TO DO and not WHAT they have done. Z needs pragmatic leaders who produce results. Look at Botswana. Victoria falls alone could have made Z no 1 in tourism. There is too much incompetence you wonder whether this chief is the best economic advisor for Kasama. Think B 4 u vote. If you love living the way you do in kasama continue supporting the same old group of MMD. Don’t cry when you don’t have jobs

  53. The chief is in error, he should be above politics. Imagine if the Queen in England aligned herself to one political party. She will lose respect and loyalty from the opposition.

A chief is for all the people living in his chiefdom. Does this man have advisors. This is disgraceful even to Bembas.

  54. By the way Zambia’s policy should not be based on foreign investors only. What about Zambian investors???? MMD thinks foreigners are the only ones who will improve Zambia thus has neglected empowering the local Zambians. I was very disppointed when the teachers ,nurse and doctors wages were not increased. We all believe in free market economics but you need regulations that protect and encourage Zambian owned business too. What is the plan for job creation ? How will the performance be measured? When is the action plan going to start for creating jobs? Too many speeches no action. I read about the 2011 elections instead of concrete actions to improve Kasama. Think B 4 U vote look for young Zambian leaders who will bring change and make a difference.

  55. #82 I concur with you the chief should not align himself with one party. He should be objective. The people wanting to run for office should prove they are able to make a difference in people’s lives. A fair debate……the chief has a lot of influence therefore he should allow people to choose their own leaders. Zambia needs positive change not propaganda. Zambian people needs results…what puzzles me how can campaigning be a priority for MMD and the president when people are still wondering what economic direction he has for Zambia. I thought his priority should be improving the Zambian people’s lives. We need results, results , results….not election campaigning moves.

  56. Kwaliba noku kwatako insoni! Can some of these old people have a heart for their country please!!! Stop telling lies, stealing and acquiting thieves ala!

  57. Matworld how are you long time on the blog, hey? Ba chief just becuase RB took you to India does not give you the right to speak for the people am sure they have their own months to speak for them selves.

  58. Kwena natusebana. This chief is not fit to be our CHITIMUKULU. We need to have dignified Leaders not these parasites. Look at the wife’s face-JALIBU. Since when did we have such nonsence kulu bemba? Insala ibi sana. Its the responsibility of the gov to look after all its citizens. Ubututu, this chief has a poor road to his Palace, run down Palace and he is busy supporting MMD. This is very worrying. The people who are supposed to speaking on behalf of the poor are all nuts……………

  59. Well! Kasama is a hard one; its like u have to equal evils, GB on the one hand n RB on the other. I think the Chief should try n be impartial and non partisan. After all he will have to work with whoever wins.

  60. Poverty can bring shame, poverty diminishes values, What a foolish chief we have in Chitimukulu. Vote for a stupid govt that can not perfom?

  61. Lusaka Times is slowly degenerating into a govt mouth piece. Leave chitimukulu mwine lubemba out of cheap politics. Our mwine lubemba is above politics. That throne is greater than this game of politics

  62. I totally agree with # 9, Kashimani. We should abolish these chiefdoms. We should start with the Litunga because these chaps abuse us so much. Look at Mpezeni. Another misplaced chief. Chief Kaindu of Mumbwa he exchanges a few bottles of Mosi larger for land. These chief abshi mwe. Come Kasama on 15th October, even the Chiti will be humiliated.

  63. The Chief only has one vote for himself. He has lost grip on the pipo he governs. they will not obey him this time around. Chief you are a let down. donot take sides in this situation.

  64. I think so Chief. GBM’s tribal statements were careless and he is arrogant by refusing to retract his statements. He should lose so that he sees that Zambians are not tribal. Viva Mugala. PF should field a mature candidate next time. This was clearly their seat but GBM rubbished it. Foolish chap.

  65. #97 I support your REACTION. Chitimukulu is a poverty stricken, sick, undereducated,*****ic and cannot see beyond RB. What if GBM wins which os likely, will this unlearned ka CHIEF welcome GBM? Maybe due to poverty again he will. Sick II..DD..II..OO..TT

  66. The same African chiefs sold our brothers and sisters to slavery because of being given some gifts and many of the descendants from the ancestors who were sold into slavery have still not yet recovered from the slavery stigma and they feel so lost right now with no solid roots to trace. It’s good that this discussion is going on right now before.

  67. lets respect the wisdom of mwinelubemba, he is looking at the bigger picture, clearly, he has shown to be a leader by rejecting tribalism even when it involves his own subject. you will pay dearly some of u for insulting an honest man

  68. #103 When it comes to elections everyone is allowed to speak. That is why people like the Queen of Britain rarely comment on elections etc. People respect the chiefs, elders etc however, when one involves themselves in politics they allow themselves to be criticised. For example, if a mother gives one child a bigger piece of cake than the other. Is it not avoidable for the child to complain with the smaller piece? A wise parent will cut the cake in half even if they thought the other child deserved a bigger piece.

  69. # 103 he should have denounced tribalism both in Northern and Eastern Province and he should have been non partisan.

  70. Thank you Your Royal Highness Mwinelubemba Paramount Chief Chitimukulu. What choice do you have when empty politicians try to spread tribalism right in the heart of Lubemba? And they did not even show respect to you at the Ukusefya pa ngwena recently. The best response is just what you have done, support the progressive candidate and shame the devil or is it snake?

  71. Ba cobra kwena, just a simple apology is all what you required to retain your seat. Anyway you have taught everybody politics of insults and lies and GBM is simply following in your footsteps. Now you will pay the price in Kasama and thereafter the ultimate price for your party country wide. I do not see much life in the PF if you lose Kasama.

  72. 104 & 105, he knows his voice is ‘limited’ to nothern, he can NOT speak for eastern. So he is wise enough to identify his geographical mandate( chiti 1:0 you 105). Ba 104,The same good father who would share equal portions of cake to a hungry and full son, hopefully should not go overboard and whip both sons equally when one smashes the cake on his face and the other eats it.

  73. #108 but at least the parents gave equal shares of the cake to the sons. The parent would not be accused of the repercussions afterwards. If the full son did not get half the cake he would accuse the parents of favortism. Remember King Solomon in the bible suggesting to cut he baby in half? He did not show he was favoring any mother but used wisdom in a fair way.

  74. #108 why should he whip both son’s equally when the other one is obedient? Why use the old school method of whipping. This is a chance to show the kid who smashed the cake in the father’s cake the process of growing food. Punish him by giving him a bag of seeds and tools to dig in the garden and plant food. The kid will not complain as the father had initially given him an equal piece of cake. Basic message chiefs should not align themselves with any political party.

  75. Some people will die insulting if they do not repent.

    Take careful care all.
    _
    Matthew 6:33 + KJV Bible
But seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all things shall be added unto you.

  76. It’s common place for insults to role back and forth in politics. If your royal somebody doesn’t want to fall in the muddle, let him learn to keep to his royal hut in his village where people don’t challenge nonsense. Glass Houses – No stones Buddy.

  77. Two days ago, I informed about Acksom Mwamba the govt appointed Paramount chief chitimukulu. I grew up with his children and his elder sister’s family in Kasama. It is not a surprise to hear hear to say those sickening racial remarks agaist Guy Scot or supporting the MMD. He is a political prostitute and one of the worst paramount chief of the bemba. Im bemba and I feel ashamed of his lack of sensitivity. Senior Chief Mwamba has kept a low profile because he knows poverty of politics will make Ackson Chilekwa Mwamba vulnerable to political insults. I can assure you he will feel the rough of people of Kasama.

  78. Two days ago I informed you about Ackson Chilekwa Mwamba the govt appointed paramount chief Chitimukulu. I grew up with his children and his elder sister.s children in Kasama. I know his back ground and his political prostitution behaviour with his family. They were UNIP hardcores but moved to MMD when MMD was in power.I’m not surprise for him to make those sickening racial remarks about Guy Scot or supporting the MMD. It is because he wants money from the govt due to his poverty. Senior Chief Mwamba has kept a low profile because he knows it is the people who will vote for who ever they want and not the chief himself. Chitimukulu due to HIV is loosing his bearing and the respect that he deserves from his subjects. Come may 2011 he will be the most hated person

  79. This must be the biggest insult to all Chitimukulus starting with Chiti himself. Just how could the whole entire Chitimukulu wallow in the pocket of a pathetic Nguni leper that even abena Kolwe have written off by urinating on? Had this been the days of Luchele Ng’anga, this Chitimwaiche would have been turned into a baboon.

  80. Mwe infumu pliz stop embarrassing your self on political matters ,how do u expect your subjects to respect you.probably its time you told us how much Rupiah gave you .what happens if you lost the election you’re backing that will show the the people of northern province have disowned you.

  81. How I wish can get the evelop as well, I was going to get it and then denounce the B A S T E REDS. THATS SERIOUS. last time I was in zed i was wondering why things have gone to the Dogs it’s actully this kind of behaviour being bought for as little as possible, what remains for us is imiponto coz no one will hep us change mother Zambia shame.

  82. This stupidity of some of our illiterate Chiefs recieving and lobbying for brown envelopes has a long history. Remember how chiefs in the olden days gave land and exchanged slaves for worthless beads, guns and mirrors? Something King Shaka never allowed. I have respect for some chiefs but my Bemba chief is the epitome of stupidity. Thats the price for having uneducated prehistoric charachters as chiefs. Go to Jurrasic Park you chipuba.

  83. The message the chief is sending is all about ‘one Zambia, one Nation’ That all Zambians are welcome to stand for elections in the regione. Not what GBM was saying. The remarks from GBM is what the chief is not supporting.

  84. The Chitimukulu has really embarassed himself and his Bemba subjects but actually outing himself as a rascist in saying he would not stand for a white vice president in Guy Scott, that we would’ve fought in vain for independence, should Hon. Sata die and Guy Scott take over and become president. How can ge do that in this day and age no ndunas to advise him? Oh dear, oh dear, oh dearie me. Banana Republic with monkey leaders. Shame

  85. How do you expect the Chitimukulu to remain neutural in by election for Kasama Central when its just recent that the Govt evacuated him to India for specialized treatment and upon arrival GRZ availed a ZAF plane tp fly him straight to Kasama. Lets us not condemn the old man. Remember what Daniel Munkombwe said ” Politics of benefit). The Chitimukulu should be left alone as his single vote will not matter coz end of the day the voters in Kasama central will on 15th cast their votes and one person will emerge winner BM or GBM. The only you can tell of the politicians is during an election as they are in a weaker position, kneeling and dancing for voters after that they disappear for gud. Pipo of Kasama central youre armed to teeth with your votes VOTE WISELY DONT SAY I NEVER WARNED YOU…

  86. People, poverty is an enemy of developement. I feel sorry for the chief. How can he sink so low to a point of a political cader. The other thing, because the chief supported the MMD candidant, it good and everybody in MMD is happy. But if they support the opposition, tomorrow Shikapwasha or Mulongoti will be on poor znbc news denouncing the chiefs. Is it fair?

  87. Sorry, but too many insults on this blog. Is there no censoring mechanism on LT? Twakolwa nensele bane……………..As for the Chief……………………hhhmmnnnnnn! Really mpaka mwaingila na Racism baMulopwe? In this day and age?In Zambia? What a shame……………

  88. The MMD Gvt is at it again. I can smell RBs Dirty socks again. Those that hate SATA and wish that Zambian shud forever be governed by them , yo days r numbered. There is Nothing good about RB. On his recent trip to Kasama to drum up support for his candidate he had to ask the PS to for Civil servants to attend his last rally so that you people in Lsk can think that he was drawing crowds. He has no shame to say the least. Every person they kud bribe was bribed. Shawa was even name bashi Chola because of the money. But learn from me that the MMD can never win an election in Ksm. The Chief is simply looking after his a……………s. He doe not even know what he was saying. All those rubishing PF will one day say thank you to them, The real Thugs are MMD. This time they found s match Ksm.

  89. The previous Chitimukulu was silent on Politics he never even appeaed on TV many of did not even know he looked. He spoke through his subjects when the Bemba Royal Establishment after been quiet for a long time on the third term when Chiluba tried to bribe him. He issued an official statement thet the Kingdom was not in support of the third term and that lead to the downfall of Chiluba . Now the current Chiimukulu has allowed himself to be lead astray by RB and his cronies. Now the result is GBM has won the seat contrary to the advise of the current Chitimukulu. Its a shame.
