Swine flu breaks out in Kawambwa

Swine flu has broken out in Kawambwa district.
The disease has been reported at St Mary’s Girls’ High School where five cases have been confirmed.
School head teacher, Elinah Mubita, confirmed the development in an interview with ZANIS in Kawambwa today.
Mrs Mubita, who could not disclose the number of affected pupils, said only five cases have been tested positive.
A check by ZANIS, revealed that a number of pupils were complaining and had signs of the disease.
The Kawambwa District Hospital authorities could not comment on the matter, but referred all queries to the District Health Director Earnest Mwila, who was reported out office.

And District Education Board Secretary (DEBS), Douglas Lesa, could also not be reached by press time.

  1. I doubt they have resources to test the H1N1 Flu in Kawambwa. Some just wants some donner money to flow luapula wise.

  2. H1N1 or Swine Flu is a bit scary but it a good thing to note that this virus is not that very deadly. .
