  1. Too many accidents every week. Is it because of the bad roads, the rains or the increased noumber of wrecked vehicles on the roads?

  2. This is very sad for the United Church of Zambia, loosing 2 leaders at the same time. Too many accidents, the country needs prayers.

  3. Too bad MTSRIP

    I was home this jan/feb and personally went to Copperbelt,Great North Road is in good shape.Our drivers have a problem when the roads are good,they overspeed.Take for instance,when Great East road was in bad shape,there were accidents attributed to bad shape.Alas,the road was tarred,the accident s increased cos of overspeeding and non-observance of traffic rules.

  4. Nine Chale # 2,I think its the rains.the first rains usually losen all the dirt,dust and oils that have accumulated since the last rains and this makes the roads dangerously slippery.Hence at every beginning of rain season,there are more accidents.

  5. The problem with in zambia, is that no one monitors the speed limits ,over speeding could be the cause of some accidents . these could be avoided if speed limits were monitored effectively rather than just talk about it and forget;;

  6. A stranger passing through kabulonga noticed an old lady sitting on her front step: “I couldn’t help noticing how happy you look? What’s your secret for such a long, happy life?
    “I smoke 4 packets a day” she said, “and before I go to bed, I make myself a very big joint and also drink a bottle of jack Daniels and hish I like junk food and don’t give a damn about exercise”
    “While! This is absolutely amazing at your age” says the passerby “How old are you ayi ?”
    “Twenty two”

  7. Superstitious events, every year in Sep/Oct/Nov there are big accidents in Zambia involving big buses. Just observe, satanist at work.

  8. Indeed our roads have become extremely dangerous to drive on. Too many vehicles and reckless driving are the main causes.

    But the reporting also is utterly trash. Second para reads, “And three other people died on Ndola road this morning when a Zambeef truck hit into the house they were sleeping in Kapiri Mposhi
    today.”(Sic) Did the people die on the road or in the house? Strange enough our houses in Zed are not very near to the roads so you wonder how this happened. Imfwa ishila umwingi…sad really.

  9. @11, Don’t always be too superstitious… Its always like this at the beginning of the rainy season. The roads tend to be slipperly until the rains have washed away all the slime and greasy particles off the roads. Drivers just need to excercise a little extra caution especially wen roads are wet. MTSRIP

  10. The accident should not be blamed on neither the drivers but government negligence.The place has been accident prone for the past two years.More than four accidents has taken place at this same point just to mention the late zesco kasama engineer who died at this point.Prio to the accident the oil tanker had overturned at the same.The all road up to nakonde is in a very state as if the government doesn’t correct any taxes on it.plse attend to the road before more lives are lost.MTSRIP.

  11. There are a lot off cars on the raods and most of the drivers have no exprience, its sad that the lincences can be bought for a few Kwachas on the Black market. This is the reason we have so many deaths, The next one is Drink/ Drug driving, and lastly the raods themselves are so bad. Education is power, there is need for Raod Traffic campains to warn pipo of the dangers.

  12. Rev Simumba and Bishop Siame,brothers in ministry and indeed co-workers,its sad to know when I arrive, I wont have a chance to chat with either of you. A month hasnt made it any easier for me to grasp that you are gone. Tears will never dry for you two. MYSRIP
