  1. Pic # 10.Something should be urgently done about the drainage system in Lusaka, if not the all Zambia! Its pathetic.45 years after independence and we still got such in the capital? God help us!

  2. Pics 1-3!! its too early to celebrate! Look @ Malawi, there was jubilation when they beat Algeria, but were are they? Answer is Lilongwe… take a leaf! you will celebrate after we beat Egypt in the final… if at all it will happen!!!

  3. Nice pictures indeed! I’m a bit concerned about the state of the houses of the miners working for that Chinese run coal mine. People let us show concern for the welfare of our workers. Can’t the chaps construct decent houses for their workers? As for the couple that survived the elephant attack, thank God. However, ZAWA should do something rather than wait for lives to be lost and then act. Nshilanda sana kwati ni Veteran, napwisha.

  4. Pic# 12 – Look at that house! The elephant thought it was a tree!

Thank God the couple and their baby survived.

LT work on your captions – e.g. – Zambians celebrate the national soccer team quarter final qualification to ACON

  5. Pic #16. That is supposed to be a foundation? From Red brick? Let there be decency with investment. And the entire mines minister just standing by without rebuking the chaps. Shameful!

  6. #3Katalina dont you know what living for the moment is? Why shouldnt we celebrate? We are in the quater-finals and whether we get to the finals or not, the feeling is great right now and i for one will savour it and dont need dictators like you putting a dumper on that.

  7. I am surprised with the picture talking of the foundations for homes. Is the minister the foundation? I don’t seem to see any foundation. LT please put pictures that depict the title. I am not surprised at the homes those “poor” coal miners have. They resemble the homes that are in many compounds in Zambia … homes built by OUR government!!!

  8. please keep your mother tongue to yourself, not on this blog….try to use english coz some of us can not understand you…and if i commented in my mother tongue as well,u wudnt probably understand me…keep that bemba on the copperbelt..its not the official langauge of zambia..thank u

  9. PICTURE 19:
NOTICE: All the workers and biulders are off to watch football in the neighbourhood. The work will resume after AFCON.

  10. I liked Angela CIFIRE ever since she was ZESCO Public Relations Maneger. She is a very honorable and respectable Zambian Lady. Such are the people we need; for the transformation of Zed.

  11. I liked Angela CIFIRE ever since she was Zesco Public Relations Manager. She is such a Beautiful, honrable and Respectable Zambian Lady. Such are the people ZED needs for its transformation.
    Check K millian : ” Ubusuma Bobe “

  12. Pic #9:;)):)):)):)) Have a laugh guys

Justice Michael Kirby: You are too old and a very corrupt man.
Justice Sakala:Be careful with your language, I will tell Shikapwasha to deport you! Chikaka!::

  13. Pic 5-7, it appears Zambian photographers are well versed with graphics, its amazing how they can manipulate a few people into a countless crowd. It all started with the POST when they were campaining for Mr Sata in the previuos election. Good job guys!

  14. that person called katalina is full of negativity, always commenting sense were its not needed thats lack of common sense come down to earth mr briton i bet you have been to long its just a name which has remained to show that u from zed,let us celebrate the victory to the last 8 it has been over a decade since we reached that stage,as for me am still in chipolopolo hang over till mailo

  15. LT, Thanks for revealing the true state of our Miners in Maamba. Working attire, working environment/infrasture,accommodation speaks volumes about the investor! No wonder the woman Minister cried.

Celebrate Zambian child. go to bed with smiles… we are going ahead to the quarters! We continue cheering, Fipolopolo ‘bullets! we are.=d>=d>=d>=d>=d>=d>

  16. #3 Katalina, cross over to the positive side of Zambeziland! You deserve to toast this victory. Sangalala:d/:d/:d/:d/ Utugumbuli natulila pa Zambeziland in all the provinces, Iye! fipolopolo, Iye! Hipolopolo, =d>Iye Kipolopolo8-}, Iye Vipolopolo,>:d<

  17. What “Zambian qualification” are they celebrating in pic 1? Me thinks it’s Zambia’s qualification they are celebrating.

  18. #15 iwe Kasai, you don’t have to understand every posting on this board. Bushe ya bawiso LT? Who has stopped you from using Vimbundu? Makaka.

  19. # 33.. hahahaha…u live up to yr name!
Nice pics L T….Showing the real Zambia for a change and not just govt officials officiating.

  20. Mulishani bonse!

Very informative pictures, thanks to LT and the anonymous bloggers who sent the soccer fans pics. It’s so nice to see those smiles on the children’s faces in pc#1.

Colum mines should build better houses for their employees. That is subhuman accomodation.

#31 Ba Chanda kwena mwandepula lelo! Ati utugumbuli natulila ka? Kale sana nayumfwile terminology.

Ba nambala 15 naimwe…just contact me for Bemba lessons – you will finally discover the joy and satisfaction we feel when we communicated in Bemba language.

  21. #3, Katalina:

You have a very weired way of looking at life. What a Grinch!! My dear, life is short, who knows what tomorrow holds for any of us. Therefore celebrate every moment of accomplishment, either in sports, academics (school/education), business, relationships, etc. By your standards, people can only celebrate when they obtain a PhD, right? Because that’s the highest level of education one can attain academically. Well, I am afraid millions of parents/students would be waiting forever to have any reason to celebrate in their “education careers.”

Anyway, good variety of pics this week ba LT. So sad to see the living conditions of those poor miners families—–sad, sad, sad!!

  22. Mr. & Mrs. Siangwalamu look like a lovely couple. They seem perfect for each other and not anybody else. That bully of an elephant was just jealous

  23. To those who doubt that Veteran is Ben Kangwa, have you seen him comment lately on this blog? No. The reason is he is in Los Angeles were your first lady (Ghost Worker) Thandiwe is right now. Probably he has no laptop or he is sharing hotel room with someone in the entourage or from the embassy. I will let you know when Ghost Worker leaves LA.

  24. Nice pix and thanks again LT, you made my day.Sorry to these guys whose hat was knocked by an Elephant.Carefull this time as you might be aware that the Eles are looking for maize and they love it :d/

  25. WHERE ARE WE WRONG AS AFRICANS…Y UKUCHULA THIS WAY PLEASE ZAMBIA IS A COUNTRY OF MUCH MORE POTENTIAL THE RICHER GETTING MORE RICH AND THE POOR POORER WHY PLEASE TWACHULA SANA. WHO MADE IT POSSIBLE THAT WE BEHAVE LIKE CURSED PEOPLE….NOW A FOREIGNER IS GETTING MORE RICHER…FROM CHINA….AND THE MINISTER IS GIVING OR RATHER BOOTLICKING THE CHINESE. S H I T

  26. Those Chinese should put up better houses for their workers, i yhink the govt got a small cat for not taking any action on those foolish chinese .

  27. The houses for the miners are a SHAME!!! Why does our govt allow Chinese/investors to treat us like this in our own country…..

  28. #15 My dear, this is a Zambian blog, and as such it reflects the many tribes we are so richly blessed with. If one feels comfortable to express themselves in their own language, they should feel free to do so without recrimination. LT have not put a rule in place stipulating that English is the only acceptable language. Please use your own mother tongue – I am sure there will be others who will appreciate it, unless you are not Zambian. And LT, nice pictures – but do work on your captions……more serious proof reading needed.
