Only Government and Kalusha executive are to meet FIFA

Share

The world Soccer Governing body FIFA has said it has only invited the Government delegation and the Kalusha Bwalya led FAZ leadership to the meeting it has called in Zurich surrounding the state of football affairs in Zambia.

Responding to an electronic mail sent by QFM on 4th December, 2010, seeking clarification on whether the Andrew Kamanga led faction had also been invited to the meeting in Zurich set for December 21st, FIFA’s Media Department said the planned meeting is for the Zambian Government delegation and the FAZ leadership.

Recent reports in some local media have indicated that FIFA has summoned a Government delegation and the two factions of the FAZ executives.

Zambian football has been thrown into further disarray following the emerging of a faction FAZ Executive led by Andrew Kamanga.

This follows the holding of an emergency council meeting on November 26, 2010 in Lusaka by the two thirds FAZ petitioners.

  1. Thats the way it’s done FIFA, you don’t even need the Government to be there. It’s straight forward the other FAZ Ki shimata- shimata are operating and conducting business illegal, kick these thieves out and lock them out. Let Kalu rule until his term is over than using back door tactics to get in power IT WILL BE NICE IF YOU USED THAT BACK DOOR TACTIC TO THROW OUT RB OUT OF STATE HOUSE, I WILL FULLY SUPPORT YOU 1 MILLION TIMES SHIMATA!!!

  2. FIFA can not invite the Kamanga led executive coz that would have meant recognising them. The kamanga led executive is operating illegally. Why cant these chaps wait until 2012 to kick Kalusha out.

  3. Kalu is not bad after all. My vision ws clouded by the bad publicity he gets from The Post. Viva Kalu!!! Abash indiscipline! By the way, does anybody knw if any friendly matches by the ZPL were played on saturday?

  4. Simaata Simaata doesn’t have a Job and needs one desperately. He equally knows no one can vote for him as such working on pushing a co-opted agenda.

  5. fifa fifa fifa
Mwabomba ba FIFA. Fi Simata/ Kamanga should just compain for 2012 elections if they want to be in office. Mind you ve made your Kalu so strong

  6. Fifa is bigger, mightier, powerful than Goodluck Jonathan, bigger than The QUEEN and Stronger than Prince William, Prince Charles, David Cameroon, Bigger than John Atta Mills, Bigger than Robert Gabriel Mugabe. So who is this Simata thing. No STAMINA the chap at one time resigned on own accord without pressure. where is this courage coming from. the fact that shimata is being proped up by the Post, RB and Govt will never be for you chaps. VIVA KALU, VIVA FAZ PROPER, VIVA MMD

  7. I expect him to resign instead of clicking/dectating sports while the majority hate his administration. Munaile was his play mate on the opposite ground, his resignation and other 3 members smelt a rat.. Something is going wrong there (FAZ) ..Player transferes are some of the issues Kalu handled single handed over looking/belittling his workmates. :d

  8. This is now a knockout punch by FIFA.I just love this organisation and how it operates.Great Kalu, you are the best and continue cracking the whip!!

  9. Gud to be bak afta a long time, hope pals lyk Princess nd Capitalist ar stil here. Guys its not the personalities we shud be lukn at here bt the principle behind the argument…we shud ther4 evaluate the pros nd cons of dis issue wit the utmost prudence bearing dis fact in in mind. Ps is Maestro stil here?

  10. What has become of the meeting arraged by the president of zambia and Sep Blatter. I strongly believe that the right thing should be done.If it will take FIFA to ban Zambia from international footbal , so be it.

  11. What agenda has Simata? Has he the interest of Zambian football at heart or it just hatred making him to behave like a kaponya? Simata should swallow his pride and wait for the end of Kalu’s tenure of office.

  12. Simaata doesn’t have anything tangible to do. To him its a matter of survival, as he knows no one can directly employ him. His only hope of getting a Job is through appointment which he has pinned on Kamanga. Of all the positions he co-opts to go for SC which he knows pretty well is a fulltime Job. Guys to him this is his last hope, the guy is slowly running broke.

  13. in my opinion kalu is still as bad in administration as he was before this saga started. i hate to say it, but kalu is just another failure when it comes to management!

  14. Interim FAZ are nuts!! They have the 2/3, the constitution on their side, & yet they wanted to negotiate with Kalu whose committee dissolution they had just confirmed! What lunacy indeed!! If they didn’t realise that the process they were embarking upon only led one direction, they shudn’t have bothered – the next logical step is court fullstop!! What ever FIFA decides, is only in their dreams, once court decides, they will have no option but to come back & deal with FAZ of the day!! They will indeed have to eat their words – or maybe I might have to considering the DOCILITY that goes with being Zed!!

  15. Could someone explain to me, has there been a time when zambian football was in so much trouble to warrant the removal of the kalu led executive? or is the issue just that some people resigned. Does it mean that to replace them you need to have a whole new executive altogether? Can some one give me a link to the faz constitution. To me this whole issue from pushing for an emergency meeting is what has disturbed or disrupted Zambian Football. I do not think the ordinary football fan cares who runs FAZ but they care about disturbances and disruptions in Zambiaa football.

  16. #16 man you said it all. I once happened to be in same pub with Simataa, sometime in 2005, and I didn’t know what kind of mammal he was. Just his presence put off everyone, teti ukolwe. He has such annoying voice that you just feel like bursting a Mosi bottle at him. I am sure Kamanga was just forced to step up to create more stable atmosphere, that is why he went unopposed. Sometimes it is good to diner with enermy to create peace.

  17. QFM Radio, thank you for the clarification. I also thought that there was something amiss when we were told that both factions had been invited by FIFA. That would be a de facto recognition of Shimaata’s so called “faction” and their uncouth methods which are not welcome in the administration of the beautiful game.
#20, I watched Shimaata yesterday on ZNBC TV, man his face reads trouble. He said that it has never happened in Zambian football for the league to end like that and he will not allow it. But he conveniently forgot to mention that it was the first time in Zambian football history to have this kind of indiscipline and “two parallel structures”. Typical PF mentality, I am sorry to say, please forgive me but I have to say it.

  18. What has Kalusha done that other players have not done? we never won anything while kalusha was playing, we have still not done anything, so kalusha and Simaata are just the same group, at least simaata has his own football club- lol anyway, kuti walyala bulandi pulasha mayo-lol

  19. But why did RB while in South Africa say Govt, Kalu FAZ and Kamanga FAZ are going to meet FIFA in December?? Ninshi he was just barking…..???

  20. #13 MDM. ulicamano and I hope the guys have understood your observation. From day one of this saga FIFA has never been consistence. could this the reason why fifa in general recently their credibility has been questioned. We better be suspended for the good of the game

  21. This thing is getting interesting: why is fifa stretching it too far. we hopped this meeting will resolvet the drama. during this meeting it will into a lecture of Governemnt how to deal with kamanga and they will accept lest they accuse them of interfearance.

  22. Maybe we go for a referendum where WE the soccer lovers will decide the way forward otherwise this kalu and fifa are simply taking us for a ride

  23. Well, Zambia has gone to the dogs. If I was the government, I would withdraw from all FIFA engagements for 5 years, fire Kalusha and start reorganizing the sport in the country. Just watch how Luapulan lumpens are cheering Great Galu claiming he should be allowed to finish his mandate, just like they did with Chiluba being allowed a third term to finish his so called programs that nobody knew of. With country mates like these, who needs enemies? Awe sure, these Katangese are a cantankerous lot.

  24. Although i dont support Simataa i think Kalu needs to up his game too. We cant just heroworship him hwne all is not well within FAZ.There is need to improve across the FAZ ranks as a whole

  25. #28 I think you need jik to clean your stupidity.
Zambia 4-1 Namibia COSAFA under 20. Yachiwama bola. I didn’t see Simataa there, there was only Kalusha.

  26. If it is OK to oust Kalusha and his team without waiting for the end of his term; then surely it follows that Banda and his emu emu dee before the end of their term! In Zambia you want to conduct two parallel systems: Ome that purpots to obey the constitution as defined by the emu emu dee; and ignore the same constitution as long as it suits the emu emu dee. Inokayi?

  27. Gentlemen this Simata thing irritates me.First of all do u know what it means to be banned by FIFA. It spells doom for our players. Even those players playing proffessional football will have to be recalled back. No Zambian player will be allowed to participate in any international football. You see guys who will suffer? its the ordinally zambian player and not this f.ool simata simata

  28. Ba Shibata Shibata fyalula nomba mwee! And those fixtures of yours..Are they meant as entertainment during the FAZ closed season? Yaba! Please tell them because ZANACO is wasting our savings on meaningless games thinking the points are counting but the counting has already been done by Great Kalu.

  29. Continue with the pre season games for division one or call it Xmas tornament. Stop fooling around and using innocent players the league is over got it.

  30. Now those guys who are talking part in the “Resumed league ” were just training. Next the Kamanga arranged game will be boycotted.

  31. FIFA only recognizes Kalusha Bwalya’s led FAZ. These Kamanga guys are just wasting time and money. If they want power let them get it legitimately through proper channels. Great Kalu is the man!!

  32. Zambians shud respect whoever is voted to run the affairs of football.Even a company or whatever organisation has rules. Its evident that the other group are just power hungry thats why FIFA cant invite them becoz what agenda do they ve and complaints. They shud therefore come out in the open and say the wrongs that Kalu has done.We want reasons and facts why they have formed a parallel executive. You cant just say is a bad person,we demand varied reasons from those who resigned and those who came up with an illegal executive.Even Rupiya Banda cant condone the indiscipline in the MMD/cabinet executive

  33. #40, where were u to claim that u dont know the reasons behind the mess??? Kalu created this mess by personalizing all FAZ affairs as though his personal kantemba… That chap has outlived his usefulness in the Zedian game, chap cant just leave coz where the heck is he gonna get cash to fund his extravagant life style…. Its time for that mutt to just own-up and leave the game alone, surprizing he’s got whole bunch of ignorant well-wishers!!!! Gimme a break!!!

  34. Viva Kalu!!! we are jst waiting for departure day which should be sunday or monday so that we hear who would have left. If simata goes he will definatetly be gate crashing and it will be interesting to hear how he will come back. When it comes to fifa connections KALU IS BIGGER THAN ARABI. LIKE IT ON NOT YAFA KWA SIMATA
