Patriotic Front (PF) Secretary General Wynter Kabimba has wondered why some people are blaming him for the collapse of the PF/UPND pact.
Speaking last evening when he featured on QFM’s The Public’s Last Say, Mr Kabimba wondered how he could be blamed for killing the party when the PF/UPND pact’s joint national council was composed of eighteen members nine from each party led by the two presidents.
He also wonders how as an individual he could have strong views against the pact to defeat the other remaining seventeen members of the joint national council.
Mr. Kabimba says what is true is that there were fundamental problems in the PF/UPND pact that could not be resolved.
And Mr Kabimba has vowed to defend himself from attacks by the United Party for National Development (UPND).
He also refused to apologize for his alleged comments in a letter addressed to the UPND in which he said that Tongas use their tribe to think and not their brains.

Ironically, Kabimba’s tribe is Sala which I am told is actually of the Bantu Botatwe group linguistically. The language Kabimba speaks is linguistically very close to Ila, Tonga, and Lenje.
PF is bigger than an indiividual, some of us supported the pact, party we also understand that manovours to use the UDA formular to ascend to pact presidency was a non starter for my brother HH. He found it easier to dripple Nawakwai and TJ but check the mess that they did, even when it came to adopting candidates, things went wrong and UDA ended up performing badly and PF did much better than that UDA. We need to analyse and understand the politics at hand the Zambian system as it is now is the presidential democracy where the president appoints cabinet and thats it so… if RB and his team did not fetch for extra 35000 VOTES in 2008, SATA would still have formed government. so for us in PF is moving on, this is the year to liberate this country. ” Donchi Kubeba”.

People should remember that certain tribes are conservative and sensitive, If you say ndiwe chipuba (you fool) to a Tonga, Lozi, Lenje, North-westerner etc it will remain in the head till death, because such people value dignity and integrit and if you insult one they all feel insulted and take you that way as being against them. So people learn to concentrate on individuals and not tribes.
