Mulongoti calls for an end to political violence

Mike Mulongoti

Former Works and Supply Minister Mike Mulongoti has called on law enforcement agencies to put in place measures that will curb the escalating levels of political violence in the country.
Mr. Mulongoti says there is need to maintain law as the country holds the tripartite elections this year.

The former Minister pointed out that violence conduct must not be tolerated and political leaders should ensure there is peace and stability in the country.

He says the recent violence perpetrated by political cadres is a wake up call for the security wings to intensify the efforts in maintaining peace.

Mr. Mulongoti also says that if violence is left unchecked, it will have an adverse effect on the good governance of the country.

  1. The expulsion of mulongoti was a good thing after all. He has started sounding sensible. Zambians let us not allow him enter government again, not even through nomination, so that he remain sober

  2. Welcome to reality, at last you can now see! Your were soo drunk with power that you couldn’t see all these things. This is a clear indication that power corrupts people’s mind and we should NEVER give our politicians total power. The best way to achieve people power is to split the votes equally among the three major parties. We shouldn’t just focus on removing RB, our focus should be making sure no single party has a majority in parliament. That way it won’t matter who will be president. The youth voice will be key to this strategy, so vote HH for real change.

  11. Magande, Mupombo, Mulongoti ,Shakafuswa etc…….Out of MMD now. Go ahead and act big. Is it MMD or yourself that made you that big you were. Or are there any regrets?

  12. I was really up set the way you Mr. Mulongoti and the other former minister (I cant mention the name becuase he is no more) how you were taking national issues as if you were the final authority!! Remember everything has time. Mwateya insono instead of the actual ball!! You are now very sobber the way you are articulating issues. Dont look down upon others with contrally views, because one day you will need the same people when you fall down on the hard ground for support.
