A tight schedule awaits President Rupiah Banda when he arrives in Solwezi tomorrow for a day’s visit.
According to a programme released to ZANIS in Solwezi by North Western Province Permanent Secretary Fabian Mumba today, Mr Banda will soon after arrival travel to Kalumbila in Senior Chief Musele’s area for a ground breaking ceremony of the Trident mining project.
Kalumbila is close to 180 kilometers west of Solwezi.
In the afternoon, the President will lay a foundation stone at the construction of a K2 billion Zangamenu bridge on Kifubwa river before flagging off the construction of township roads in Solwezi.
On Saturday, President Banda will officiate at the opening of Solwezi Trades Institute.
Later the President will launch the North Western Province Mobile Hospitals.
President Banda is expected to fly back to Lusaka soon after the launch of the mobile hospitals.
Meanwhile, Solwezi is gripped with anxiety as the people are yearning to see the President.

IYE MAYO IYE. PROPAGANDA YEKAKAFYE. DONT KUBEBA.
Hope the opposition are also busy campaigning. This man is clearly on a serious campaign trail.
its a good thing for the president to delight in infrastructure development. this is the way to go for zambia in an attempt to reduce the cost of doing business. i guess whoever shall rule zambia in future should keep up with the spirit of developing infrastructure….thanks Mr. President. we look forward to more developments
BRAVO RB!!!!! THIS IS WHAT WE CALL DEVELOPING ZAMBIA, WITH INFLATION AT 8.8% GO AHEAD AND REMODEL ZAMBIA AND LET THE SATA’s chase your shining shadows of development and will remain with their “Catholic Vuvuzela Post” following your unmatched footsteps in taking Zambia to another level. The Indian Invesyor is coming to Zambia to set up a Tractor assembly factory – MAHINDRA & MAHINDRA CO.
See this quote to validate my claim:The world’s largest tractor maker Mahindra & Mahindra plans to set up assembly plants in Tunisia, Morocco, South Africa, Kenya, Ethiopia and Zambia, boosting its manufacturing prowess to ramp up presence in the fast-growing African economy. The auto major, which already has satellite plants in Gambia, Tchad, Mali, Ghana & Nigeria for farm equipment, will use its facilities to assemble three-wheelers, light commercial vehicles and utility vehicle Bolero to drive volumes in an economy marked by rising disposable incomes.
So ZAMBIA is one of the economies in the world marked by rising disposable incomes and not the Defunct PF Manifesto. BRAVO RB 2011
Do Kubeba RB!!! Well done. Am lost for words. I have just been reading about your vist in Livingstone. And then you mentioned that your are also going to kasama. Well done. Sata must be dazzled. He is still thinking about your housing gesture you made to the poor. I think, he now regrets being uneducated. Things are moving at a fast pace for him. Bless him.
Yes the President is on the move to deveop all parts of our beloved country. but of course to the dull illiterate cadres of the Past Failure (PF) with their yakumbuyo M’membe won’t appreciate a thing. Go RB do your part and posterity will judge you fairly one day just as most of the level headed Zambians are doing at the moment.
Someone to help me! Can’t a minister of Science and Technology officially open a two building college in my dust village of Solwezi? can’t minister of mine do the other thing? Can’t the minister of works and supply lay the stone for USD 500,000 bridge? Should it take the head of state all the time? Why are cabinet ministers paid?
People of Solwezi open your eyes the king of demons is on his way to attack, cheat you….Lord Save us.
DESPERADO!!!!!!
Looks like the President will be in North-Western Province up to Saturday. So, it can’t be “a day’s visit” as suggested by the above article!
Gone to distribute some brown envelopes no doubt!
@#5..ha ha ha .good question..
@#5..ha ha ha .good question..
@#5..ha ha ha .good question..
I can imagine how busy Jacob Zuma would be if he had to commission each and every project in SA. Anyway RB is saving tax payer’s money by not globe trotting.
@#5…ha ha ha.mwandi ask.Ba RB ma ministers yajipi?Kafwako?
Vasco Da Banda on the move.Am surprised as to why he is not attending the loyal wedding?Have they forgotten that we have a president here who is ever on the move?May he should just go and gate crush. It is a dent to his travelling c.v.
wina aza lila nafuti this yr,pliz try 2 mek it a competition this yr coz @ the rate r.b en the mmd r moving, its going 2b too easy!
This guy is just missing his frequent trips abroad! But he cant risk taking one lest the famous and popular King Cobra takes over while he is out.
Kuya bebele baba.
#18 i think you meant ROYAL wedding. RB is busy campaigning. LOYAL wedding is open for kaponyas at tujilili night club.
# 18 Chitumbuwa. The royal wedding is a private event. Not even Gordon Brown nor Tony Blair have been invited. Beside this, RB, the incumbant, has a campaign to concentrate on. Everything has its time. First source from abroad then concentrate locally. And that is why you are seeing all this devpt thru out Zambia. There is a lot that is going on and the incumbant has said, election or no election, this has to go on. You are free to vote for who you want. Simple’s.
We also need an airport worth calling International! That ramshackle you call Lusaka International Airport is an embarrassment each time we come back home!
Ba LT please, the President is not in Solwezi for “a day’s visit” but two days. He will be back in Lusaka on Saturday.
Zambians wake up, RB every day you hear he commision the toilet, commission road, tuckshop, commission super, commision pick and pay. We are so behind lord help us. Does it mean the President don’t have work to do. Some of this projects the President don’t need to commission for what. And you say RB is working foolish. Look at South Africa and othe countries we don’t such things. How can you just call the President to come and open the road.
ZAMBIANS LET US WAKE WE ARE REALLY BEHIND.
MMD MAKANDI YENU THIS YEAR YOU ARE GOING KUYA BEBELE
Kani tundila,thanks for your correction.
