Chief Sinazongwe of the Tonga speaking people has reaffirmed his desire for the Sinazongwe Constituency to produce a Member of Parliament for the ruling Movement for Multi-party Democracy (MMD).

The chief said he continue to advocate and seriously persuade his subjects to vote for the MMD candidate at Parliamentary and Presidential levels, respectively.

Chief Sinazongwe said this when Southern Province Minister Elijah Muchima paid a courtesy call at his palace yesterday.

And the provincial minister told the traditional leader that he has in the recent past been equally persuading the electorate in the area to elect an MMD member of parliament in this year’s elections.

“I am seriously persuading young people in the district to produce a MMD Member of Parliament in this year’s tripartite elections,” Mr Muchima said.

He said people in the district must realize that for change has and they need to join the MMD.

The noted that people in the district will be excited with the governments’ decision to award a contract to a Chinese investor to work on the Bottom road.

He said the bottom road is the heart of the Tonga people and it will grateful once government works on it.

Mr. Muchima said government is channeling developmental programmes to very parts of the country so that people will have money in their pockets.

He said was grateful for the chief’s gesture to support the ruling party to ensure that gets seats in Southern province during this year’s elections.

  1. Thats a plus for the MMD, people are now able to see that the developmental projects being undertaken by RB are bearing fruit, its only PF Kaponyas who want to pretend that RB hasnt done anything come election day PF will cry, mark my words.

  2. this chiefs who are wise advice other who are unwise avoid entering hotline of politicans when you loss power in eyes of people you will be unfunctional in the country. take example in Tanzania and Kenya have abolished this thing of chiefs and in Kenya are appointed by the President.By the way even in Italy kings and Qeens lost power after second world the country had refrumendum. new generation in zambia have started asking what is the role of chiefs with such behavour one day they will demand for refrumendum to do away with chiefs so be careful chiefs dont be used by politician.

  3. What an imbecile of a chief, you think your subjects have stuffed their brains up your a$$? Wake up, & stop dreaming. I can see that MMD puppies are happy, & making noise, with this retard of a chief after he was given a brown envelope.

  4. in morden time chief’s myth is dying out some are even being beaten by their subjects. remember this there are in the road to lossing power following slowly the debated of ncc on chiefs they voted that should not participate activitly in politics why did the vote so? some people will not agree with me now but in future will remember this. Amen

  5. Chief, why don’t you just outlaw voting in your areas and just vote yourself. Zambia is not a Kingdom like your small insignificant village. Zambia is a democracy and you cannot persuade people in your area to vote for MMD. What if MMD lose?

Let them people exercise their democratic right and stay away from Politics chief

  6. I thought Tonga’s are not CORRUPT. It seems the MMD is splashing  a lot of money in Southern province. H.H you must work extra hard or will lose the ONLY province behind you.

  7. Was it not in Sinazongwe where the two chinese shot about 13 workers? these chiefs are becoming a nuisanse

  8. This imbecile called Chief Sinazongwe is sick. This corrupt chap has got no heart for his subjects. All the boy values is the blood money he receives from Rupiah through Muchima. His subjects were shot by the chinese and the chap was quiet. It took the PF Leader to speak for the victims. He is Rupiah’s cadre who will also be crushed by the wind of change.
    VOTE MICHAEL SATA COME 2011.

  9. No 3, 4, 5 and 6

You may like it or not… in African countries e.g Zambia and Zimbabwe, chief’s play a big role in the outcome of elections. Do not under estimate what he his saying you will be shocked. Mugabe has been kept in power by huge support from village votes. This is the same in Zambia. You may think he his a fool wait until election day

  10. CORRUPT USELESS CHIEF,HOW CAN PERSUADE PEOPLE TO VOTE FOR SOME CORRUPT STINKIN  MMD,LET THE PEOPLE EXERCISE THEIR RIGHT TO VOTE THE PERSON THEY WANT.JUST MIND ABOUT YOUR VOTE.
U ARE A FAKE CHIEF.YOU HAVE BEEN CORRUPTED,WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN GIVEN..?
    ABASH CORRUPTION!!!!!
    VIVA PF

  11. if we are to consider dull people in the world and in Zambia, we could sight out human beings like Chief Sinazongwe, who open their mouths consideriing how much money he has been given, Stupid indeed a chief he is. Individual like Chiefs, Pastors, Priest and Civil servants ought not show their partisanship because of the nature of their jobs. They need to serve regardless of the political affiliation. All chiefs and Pastors in the past and in future who will dare take part are just selling out their own dignity and showing off their stupidity the same applies to individuals like the one who made the first comment. i think, he still have unfinished business with the ministry of education. Shame on you foolish Chief Sinanzongwe

  12. Such citizens are not worthy any respect. The Chinese shot 7 Zambians in his Chiefdom and they never saw any justice. and this chief appears to be an imbecile as he has no knowledge about what is right or wrong. Tongas should trash such chiefs for abusing their positions in supporting a party that has ruined Zambia for all its people.

  13. Speak for yourself. Like Peter Tsotsi Juma once sang, if you have eaten MMD money you have to pay it back without involving others.

  14. i love Zambia and its traditional identity but if these traditional establishments act in ways that will derail the future development of this nation then I say down with them, they should promote democracy and educate there subjects on voting wisely, fight for the freedom and rights for them, and not only get pain to keep quiet about the injustice happening in their land but also campaign for the tyrants

  15. Please let us follow the logic of his argument! I have always said that any vote for HH is a vote for Banda. The Tonga chiefs have no confidence even in their own son to rule Zambia because they know him as greedy striken fellow who mistreats his own workers. How do you expect Zambians to vote for him? Please vote for PF and retire the movement for destruction of Democracy (MMD)

  16. Such a stupid opinion from #17, so stupid that he think the country can be left to thugs and thieves to rule. Shame, may God forbid such a mistake never to happen

  17. then after sata becomes president you’ll complain about him not paying attention to your people. You should be like the british royals, do you ever hear them endosing any political party?

  18. The logical thing would be for the Chief to tell his subjects not to vote for the MMD because they have listened to the people’s demand that the Bottom Road be done. Shame on MMD for committing itself to construct the Bottom Road.

  19. Iwe Sinazongwe, Stop telling people or ather chiefs what to do. Who are you? You are just another ***** who doesnt know what you are doing. People will vote for whom they like , You dont have to tell them, Is this what you say DEMOCRACY? No ,NO,no The Goverment should not allow anybody who is trying to undermine DEMOCRACY. Iwe Chi Sinazongwe SHUT UP. MUZUNGU WANGA, LIVE THE ATHER CHIFS Alone THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. DONT TELL THEM WHAT TO DO. YOU *****. SHUT YOUR SMELLING MOUTH.
