UPND rally in Chongwe

The United Party for National Development (UPND) has cautioned the public not to believe what it terms as lies by the post newspapers that the party is going into a pact with the ruling movement for multi-party democracy (MMD).

UPND secretary general Winston Chibwe says there is nothing to believe from what is reported by the post newspapers as they have never covered any UPND rally to get information on the ground.

Mr. Chibwe says the party is willing to work with any political party which has a vision as of the UPND but not with the MMD.

He tells QFM in an interview that the UPND has no intentions of working with the MMD adding that it is not in any partnership with the MMD as reported by the post newspapers.

Meanwhile, Transparency international Zambia (TIZ) has urged political parties participating in this year’s elections to clearly explain their Anti-Corruption policies to the people of Zambia.

TIZ president Reuben Lifuka told journalists that the politicians should clearly indicate how they intend to fight corruption so as to improve the country%u2019s governance system.

Mr. Lifuka says there is also need for the public sector to be depoliticized.

He adds that once public institutions become independent from political interference, it will be easy for them to operate efficiently.

He observes that corruption had only affected the development of the country but that that is has also proved to be expensive in public expenditure.

  1. RB you had my vote and u have miss used it u will never see it agn .HH you wil only see my vote in 2016… this one am giving it to SATA.

  2. We hope Venon will not resurface again to confirm the post report that you have been holding meetings with MMD.I always say that HH could have been a good leader but the man luck seriousness. While he is busy campaing some of his party members are holding meetings with MMD and todate we have never head of any disciplinary action being taken against them, just like in the case Kalusa who contributed tremandously to the fall of the pact.
How do we entrust affairs our beloved Zambia to such a leader? Politics are not just about getting educated and wearing suits.Things are rough in there. You need to have strong b.a.l.l.s to survive. That is why people say it is ”dirty game”. Vote wisely, vote PF

  3. Who believes that bankrupt homo Pa Fwaka vuvuzela? Same old story like in 2008,i actually thought the Presidency should be given straight to that lunatic going by the huge coverage of his rallies, kansi people just went to listen to his usual comedy.

  4. MMD sounds like the name of an NGO. UPND almost rhymes with UNDP. PF sounds like a swear word in abbreviations. NAREP sounds like an enviromental conservation project. ADD sounds like the beginning letters of a car number plate. FDD sounds like a food distribution project. UNIP sounds like a defunct UN organisation. You see now? All these parties are not really who say they are. They are all cons, after both your life and your vote in return for nothing. VOTE WISELY. A WISE VOTE ONLY COMES AFTER CAREFUL THOUGHT. IT IS YOUR LIFE AT STAKE. DON’T VOTE TO PLEASE SOMEBODY ELSE OR FOR THE PURPOSES OF BELONGING TO A GROUP. YOU WILL SUFFER ALONE WHEN ALL THE ELECTION FEVER IS GONE IN 2012. BE WISE. GOD BLESS YOU ALL.

  5. The post has just gone to the dogs. They are no longer concerned about the truth. They have been trying for a long time now to discredit UPND even when it was in the alliance with PF the post was always one sided and never looked at the bigger picture. It is clear for anyone to see what they are up to. Its not fair to be so biased for so long a time over one issue and one issue only. each time they reliable source, if it was really a reliable source why havent there been any substance in their reporting of one issue-DISGUSTING

  6. The post does not write stories on assertions; they report directly on what’s happening or directly quote somebody. If this were not the case, they could have been sued till kingdom come! So you need to understand journalism before you criticise the Post. After all, there is no smoke without fire. For the voters; he who fights and run away, lives to fight another day! Vote wisely!

  7. The sales of the post have really gone down. I was in Kabulonga the other day while on leave just at the robots where they sell newspapers, at around 17hrs and saw a heap of un sold post news paper. This was to my amazemet bucause this once called hot cake could finish by 8hrs .

I can go on and on but hey, let those who have eyes see for themselves ets

  8. ama under dogs ba upnd i thought you were interlectuals but in the actual sense it is full of cockroches such as cloud ,proud , ,loyd you can tell from the names that they are dull pipo .

  9. how could we believe you upnd since you pull out of pact you have been attacking pf as if is a ruling party and you have been soft to mmd and they have been also not attacked you.

  10. Chongwe votes is for PF. Bachula pafula abantu, roads are pathetic as if they are in deep rural. I salute chiefs Nkomeshya, Nalubamba, Macha, and now the chiefs in Chiengi for standing for their people. They have sucked the blood of the sufferers for some time and its time to liberate the innocent.

  11. HH/UPND HATERS the MMEMBE/POST negative propaganda will not feed Zambians,ONLY GOD through the un-recycled politicians/leaders.

  12. when i visit lt, i feel proud coz i can see freedom of expression and democracy at work. Zambia’s demo is maturing. May the majority win.

  13. #13 Good observation, that’s very true!!!! Of late many have discovered that this tabloid has moved away from it’s orignal objective of digging and bringing out the truth to merely peddling half truths.

  14. pa bwato!!!!!!believe it or no you are lossing i pit you thugs,am serious be in the street just look at a thug and ask which party are you supporting you will hear pabwato using a bemba name and if it was other parties using their tribe you will be called tribalist, shame upon PF but guess, alot of kapoyas are now supporting UPND while the good news is the person at a helm is not a thug(hh) to PF hey from the top till grass roots if any in PF its a compound of thugs, criminals and thieves, and their community radio can be Post FM,news homosexual,ex-service men,tu jilijili and official tribe bemba, favourite millie meal,GBM,this party has no vision like MMD who have run out of ideas,PF quick in condeming others

  15. POST NEWSPAPER IS BURIED IN HEAVY SAND DUNES.RIGHT NOW EVEN IF THEY REPORT ANY ISSUE OBJECTIVELY,VERY FEW PIPO IF NOT THE EDITORS THEMSELVES WILL TRUST THE PAPER.THIS GUY MMEMBE CHOSE PERSONAL INTERESTS ABOVE HIS PROFESSIONAL JOB.SAD NEWS INDEED TO THEM!!!

  16. LT,my blog -pending site moderator.
HH,RB,SATA mean nothing to me BUT God is everything I live for . PEOPLE WHO STAND AND STATE THE TRUTH GET KILLED JUST LIKE JESUS,BUT THEY DON’T DIE PERMANENTLY.

  17. There is no smoke without fire. Everything is possible with UPND. Masebo will bounce back with PF. Watch the space. MMD is not a factor anymore. HH is working with Traditional leaders. HH has no vision for Zed. He is only a calculator boy. If he fails to win 2011 elections, then we should be thinking of finding another leader to top up UPND but not a Tonga anymore. Cattle in town.

  18. Ba Kanyakula #14. Wina azalila dealing with the UPND intellectuals. They are by far politically advanced than the PF kaponyaz. The PF used the post to decredit UPND but for a while. No amount of insults from u or Mmembe’s trash reporting can stop the PF bleeding. Ni fire fighting chabe.Hahahahaha

  19. I want to write to Leader of the Opposition Mr Michael Sata to be careful with the POST newspaper if he wants to win. The only time the POST supported a winning presidential candidate was in 1991 when the newspaper supported the party that was also supported by the general public. Therefore, PF should conduct a detailed study and find oout its share of national support. If they find out that their share is less than MMD, PF must ditch POST newspapers and advice the newspaper to concentrate on supporting RB instead so that RB loses!!! Please PF leaders and PF supporters take my advice seriously…!!! The POST can jinx your election results, and you will lose. Please advise Fred Mmembe to support MMd instead so that MMD loses!!!

  20. I read thew post everyday. Infact i would rather read the post than Daily mail or Times of Banda. I come to LT just to blog, but the rest is crap too. How do you expect MMD Cadres to buy post. Look at Kabulonga thats where most of the GRZ officials reside. do you expect them to buy the post. They cant afford to buy frustration thats why the other day Nyamasoyas Son Henry was running away from a post Camera man, and you want him to buy post news paper. The post are doing a great Job to cover PF and Sata, i know most of the bloggers complianing about the post are UPND and MMD Viva PF and Sata

  21. In 2006 the post supported Mwanawasa and he won. Anyway Whatever, the homos do with their Post is really their business. I am voting for RB.

  22. The Post do not love Sata, they love the Zambian Airways business deal. What Chanda Chimba is doing to Sata now was done by the post in 2006. Are your memories so short that you have forgotten ba PF? fRED DOESNT CARE ABOUT YOU BUT MONEY IN ZAMBIAN AIRWAYS. In 2006, he told us what Chanda CHimba is tellin us about Sata, but Fred has not told us when Sata became an angel to him.Just shut the **** up! MORONS! GAYS! ATASE!

  23. Atase! Chi Fred Mmembe gay. We know Mmembe would want to take over PF after Sata, but consider it a pipe dream coz Sata will never be president of this country, even TB Joshua said so!

  24. Even if you Bemba brothers hate Tonga men, us your sisters love them. Actually they are on demend right now. Just swallow your bemba pride, abengi nibamulamu benu!

  25. Fact Sata is the next president ,
Fact its over for Rb with his disciples BUT i will get the geyser and free bulbs
Fact Sata is a Brave man and every one is scared of him
    VIVA PABWATOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
