Scott, Inonge Wina disrupt the Kazanga traditional ceremony

Share

FLASHBACK: Mandevu MP Jean Kapata places a red ribbon on Guy Scott

THE Kazanga Cultural Association yesterday blasted Patriotic Front vice-president and chairperson Inonge Wina for ferrying cadres to the venue of the traditional ceremony.

The association warned the PF leaders against flexing their political muscle at the ceremony, as that would earn them expulsion.

The PF cadres, who were loaded in a Benz truck, stormed the venue of the ceremony and caused consternation with their noise of calling for change.

This infuriated the organisers of the ceremony that was for the first time graced by a senior government official at the level of the vice-president.

Kazanga Cultural Ceremony Association vice-chairman Lyton Kaushiku was forced to summon Dr Scott and Ms Wina who he asked to re-evaluate reasons of attending the ceremony.

Most of the people attending the ceremony were shocked that Dr Scott and Ms Wina could come to the Kazanga ceremony with a motive of dwarfing other political parties.

Mr Kaushiku accosted Dr Scott and Ms Inonge and told them to conduct themselves in a dignified manner because the Kazanga ceremony was not a platform for political messages.

“I advise you that this is a traditional ceremony and not a political assembly. You cannot come here shouting your political slogans here. There are other political parties here but have not come with their slogan. We want peace here and not a situation where you want to create tension. So, this is not the place for showing your popularity,” Mr Kaushiku said.

Mr Kaushiku later ordered all political parties to remove their party attire. He warned that any party that would be seen flashing the party symbol would be given ‘marching orders’.

Dr Scott and Ms Inonge were later allowed inside the arena, but with strict instructions not to politicise the cultural event.

  2. #1 RIHANNA: Go and visit your b/f and make sure you wear you very nice outfit and a thong! Just pretend that you are worried about his well being and let him know that you are going out with friends for a meal tonight…. That will work and he will rip those clothes off your body. Enjoy

  3. Banachita bwino ku ba kalipila bamakaka aba. These chaps like the trend of ferrying cadres to disrupt the procedings of the activities of this nature. Such gatherings are purely for a particular cause and not politics. These PaFwaka guys are lawless in nature.

  4. Just look at the source of the story. Traditional ceremonies are also coming out like political parties ka. Kazanga never heared of it.

  5. MR KAUSHIKU EVERYTHING IS FREE AND FAIR DURING ELECTIONS. AND DONT FORGET YOURSELF THAT THESE VERY SAME PEOPLE YOU WERE ACCOSTING WILL BE YOUR BOSSES IN THE NEXT 90 DAYS SO BECAREFUL KAUSHIKU WHAT YOU DO OTHERWISE YOU WILL REGRET.

  6. Guy Scott appears very abnoxious and easily led, I doubt if PF came to form the government he would be made a Minister let alone a vice president, I hope I am wrong. Thanks

  7. #s 1 & 2 How very nice of you to ignore the state media’z one-sided stories and talk about matterz of life.
#1 Don’t wait for that fon call, go find your partner and talk thingz over. You should be able to come round the issue.

  8. #1 & #2 mulifiwelewele sana how can u move out of the topic, this is not time to discuss ur boy friend’s issues stick to the topic…

  9. Those of us who have been to traditional ceremonies know that the MMd sends cadre in party regalia to most ceremonies. We sometimes question the motive behind this

  10. THIS IS NOT WORTH COMMENTING ON-ITS A USELESS BORGUS STORY. LETS JUST HELP #1 RESOLVE HER DIFFERENCES WITH HER BOYFRIEND. YES MADAM GO VISIT THE YOUNGMAN,AM SURE HE IS ALSO DIED LOOKING FOR YOU.

  11. Ba PF TRADITIONAL CEREMONIES HAVE AND WILL ALWAYS BE CELEBRATED WHETHER YOU WIN OR NOT.RESPECT AND ACCOMODATE OTHER PEOPLEL’S VIEWS.AM NON – PARTISAN BUT AM BEGINNING TO SEE AND FEAR WHAT ZAMBIA WILL BE UNDER PF.

  12. number two that not the advise sex before you marry is not right number one just go and talk with him do not offer your body for sinful pleasure GOD is with you he loves you and your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit.

  13. Ba LT please report professionally which part of Zambia practice Kazanga ceremony and where was the venue and when was this ceremony. Dont leave the people guessing

  14. If this really happened, why let those two in,the mmd,i shuld think were the first one to do that but after being outdone or out numberd by the pf,ka george kunda cried foul, hence this twisted story by the dead mail.

  15. hahahahahahahah

CHIEF resident magistrate Joshua Banda has advised former defence minister George Mpombo to find a serious lawyer who will be committed to representing him in a case he is charged with forgery.
When the matter came up for continuation of trial on Thursday, Magistrate Banda told Mpombo to find new advocates who would not drag their feet in representing him during trial.

  16. It is in your own interest, the court’s interest and prosecution’s interest that this matter is concluded expeditiously. So, I urge you to look for a new lawyer who will be serious and committed to the proceedings of this case,” magistrate Banda said.
Magistrate Banda’s advice came after Mpombo applied for an adjournment because his new lawyer, Abraham Mwansa, was attending a funeral in Luwingu.

  17. Guy Scott is a disgrace to the British Govt for displaying the worst human attributes of the British national in Africa. Take a close look at him and you will see barbarism all around Scott. As for Inonge Wina a Lozi, the Kazanga Ceremony is one event which she thinks must be disrupted to uphold the programme of dethroning the Barotse Royal Kingdom to promote a small Republic which she herself and Milupi are incubating the Swaziland-style with the help of the notorius trouble shooting PF. Just imagine, which state would Milupi rule as Republican President when his political base is limited to two Districts in Western Province? There is a lot of under-currents that very few Zambians can see. Food for thought.

  18. #5 Mushota, you got it very right, this muzungu seems to be more of the famous Kadansa, always on the intertainment side.

  19. @ #2your advice sounds great, @6 sorry dear i would ve commnted on the state issue but my mind is freezed, anyway thx 4 yo lovely advice  @7cool down love, hold your temper, infact my relationship is a state mattter too, dont u think so?uhuh. i love pipo like u who r always driven by their emotions.@10 thx a million ,u ve hit the nail,God first.the thing is i dont want to seem like am pleading for him he il take me for granted.how do i forgte him?anyone with a clue?

    • Its you who knows the guy better than the bloggers. The best advice I can give is put him on scales if he is worth to be your husband or continue to be your boy friend or dump him. See on the scales will it affect you if you dummped him as it is already doing then it seems you need to reconcile but do not be a door mat to him don’t bleed if you went back to him, it should be a fifty-fifty situation. If you want to leave him leave him in a honoraly manner. But be rest assured that you will never find a relation where people don’t differ in one way or another. The best is to know how to reconcile because in marrage if at all you are to marry this will have been a good training ground to know how to recincile after a difference and life goes on.

  20. The drums are all starting to sound out your depature MMD. Just give us that date, why with holdit ? i need to preplan my depature to hopfully cast my vote with then many disenfranchised zambians which i hope will seal your fate.

  21. If PF want to win w province, surely they should respect this Nkoya traditional ceremony especially given the fact that many Nkoyas are not happy with serpent’s desire to unilaterally impose the BA on the whole of Western province.

  22. Uuuuuh #22  I can’t believe you want advise on how to forget him . Come on forgive each other before the sun sets.your topic is more nice than this tiresome one above, I’m tired and bored.

  26. Malama stop being a disgrace to yourself, Dr Scot is zambian and not british, he was born in Livingstone you ass

  27. Rihhana,
admit when you’re wrong . Forgive and forget James 5:16, Colossians 3:13. Avoid arguments over trifles. Don’t criticize earch other, restore one another. Timoth 2:14, Galations 6:1. Point 1 Deal with issues, grievances and potential conflict situation as they occur. Work on the current situation without bringing up the past. Point 2 Listen and share, use communication skill. Attack the problem or the conflict, not the partner. All the best and good day…

    • My suspicion:This Rihhana does not seem to be real and could be a man pretending to be going through a situation like that.

  28. These thugs will never grow. I think they are feeling the pressure now , hence this act of desperation. Guy Sc may just collapse any time going by his looks of late.

  29. The Post newspapers have run out of ideas. they cant even doctor sata’s crowd at FENI. that crowd is disappointing to say the least

  30. Why blame Scot and Inonge. Politics is about numbers and the Kazanga ceremony was a good window for advertising for any politician who has a strategy of getting votes. A good marketing person or preacher takes advantage of any gathering to market his goods and services whenever the chance avails itself. Just like preachers they take advantage of any gathering and preach the gospel. We with Veep as Guest of Honor it was a good venue to campaign. Thats the game of politics. NUMBERS MATTER.

  31. @38 Adviser thank you so much .your advise is really appreciated.i ll try to humble myself like a dog when it wants food from its master.i think that il heal my soul.il get back to u.let me see if it works.il keep u posted.good day

  32. @12Zambia i know its normal but sometimes it hurts where by u reach the extent of loosing your temper.thx il try to visit him.but my aim is i just wanted to forget about this guy n ve a new catch or crush

  33. Just petty jealous against PF.  Let them campaign or attend the ceremony!  After all MMD does in 24/7 on ZNBC and TV.  What is wrong for Dr. Scott and Inonge to attend a traditional ceremony?  They are Zambians and their presence only identifies them with PF and there is nothing you can do to stop that!  Anything wrong with that?  Shhhh!

  34. Well done to the organisers for hosting the Kazanga Ceremony of the Nkoya people of Kaoma and others areas. Like Kaushiku has said, the Kazanga is not a political gathering but a traditional ceremony. Well done to Mrs Luhila and others for inviting the VP and other political parties to our old age ceremony. Mwatende Shiwahe paku leta Kazanga!!

  35. VEEP assures farmers

VICE President George Kunda has assured the farming community in Kaoma District in Western Province that government will continue to support them through the Farmer Input Support Programme-FISP.

Mr. Kunda has thanked farmers in the district for ensuring that farming inputs which were distributed to them in the last farming season were put to good use.

The Vice President was speaking Saturday afternoon when he officiated at the Kazanga traditional ceremony of the Nkoya speaking people in Kaoma District.

And Mr. Kunda says Kaoma District in has the potential to become a major tourist destination in the country.

He says the district has an advantage in the tourism industry because the Kafue National Park, which is the largest park on the continent,

  36. Sata was in MMD,Scott was in MMD,Wina was in MMD,GBM was in MMD,Nsanda was in MMD,Mpombo was in MMD,Chitala was MMD,Mulongoti was in MMD,Mangani was in MMD,Masebo was in MMD etc…people of zambia are we that foolish that these few people will just be changing parties and tell us that they want to bring change, next it will be RB to join pf and start saying they want to bring change.let put in fresh people if we are taking of change,if not let RB continue.
