The United Party for National Development-UPND has said that it will field candidates in all the 150 constituencies and that it is confident that the party will adopt top class candidates.

UPND Spokesman Charles Kakoma said that the party has concluded provincial interviews for people aspiring to stand on the party ticket as parliamentary candidates in this year’s general elections.

Mr Kakoma said that the National Management Committee of the party will soon meet to look at the recommendations for the adoption of candidates for the tripartite elections.

Mr Kakaoma said that the Interviewing Panel has already submitted its recommendations to the highest organ of the party.

He told ZNBC news in an interview that the UPND National Management Committee will then announce the names of the adopted candidates.

On “Mr Kakoma said that the National Management Committee of the party will soon meet to look at the recommendations for the adoption of candidates for the tripartite elections” I hope this will be soon so that Councillor candidates are also looked at in good time.

Be blest as you campaign across the face of Zambia. May the good Lord God give you protection and please make sure you take the Real Change messages and songs to the Northern parts of Northern Province of Zambia as soon as possible.

  2. hahahahahahaha – These are jokes of the day. No Top class candidates in UPND. Are they going below class or what? Or they are confirming that MMD has put Top class candidates to stand? This Kakoma is out of order. How can Kakoma vindicate VJ really???? VJ should come out now and say he is vindicated by Kakoma(UPND). Under 5

  3. On UPND , i think they may lose the Presiency but mark my words they will have more MPs than MMD and PF ,

    • That sonds like an intelligent analysis. How I pray hard that they also get the PRESIDNCE., You see fellow Zambians, the country has come a very long way without any meaningful development and we still seem to be playing jokes as if when one becomes apresident, then it will just take an hour or a day. It will take you 5 solid days of nashing. So, fellow countrymen let’s go for REAL CHANGE

  4. I have said many times that UPND may loose presidency because, that is where the riging will take place. UPND is destined to have more MPs than MMD and PF. I have calculated how UPND will win more parliamentarian, it is clear they will swep in southern, north-western, central, posibly half or swep western as well leaving MMD with MMD and PF in other part of the country. Banda is going to rig these elections, whether we like it or not….Banda will win the presidency, that is where the game will be played…!!

  5. AT YOUR PACE BWANA, YOU MAY NOT HAVE TIME TO INTRODUCE THEM TO THE ELECTORATE. SNAP IT UP EEH?

  6. Top Class among the Underfive Kindergarten candidates. Who do do think will let UPND have mre seats than the MMD. We will not tell you and fo now Donchi Kubeba!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. But when is the convention? Or is it another Donchi Kubeba (state secret like election date)!

  8. I know a UPND candidate who has bribed for votes to win the nomination. If he wins then we shall raise the matter and expose him. Paliament is not to be bought. Only credible people should contest and win. That way develpoment is coming.

  9. I think at this point in time, as concerns UPND, the question that should be asked, IS NOT, WHETHER THEY WILL WIN THE PRESIDENCY, OR EVEN HOW MANY MP’s they will have in parly, BUT, WHO WILL BE THE NEXT LEADER OF THE PARTY??? Becoz if they don’t ask themselves this question, they should be seeking “Brain transplants!!!”

  10. At least its not Sata choosing the candidates …. well organised party. Well done.

  11. It may be trick for UPND to win the presidency. But they will perform very well at parliamentary and local govt levels. RB is likely to win at presidency. UPND, PF and MMD will almost have the same number of seats. This time, there will be no seat for UNIP, FDD, ULP, HP, NGP. Only ADD may fail to defend their only seat since Milupi is going for presidency and the person who will replace him will have to fight had.

  12. lets go ahead ..choose for real change guys..Zambia is our motherland..we are not owned by sata and pf..

  13. VIVA H.H VIVA UPND,,WE ARE GETTING MORE BETTER AND WINNING THE PRESIDENCE

  16. LES GO..H.H 2011 LESS GO..H.H ,LESS GO..GO..GO..H.H ..WE ARE GOING TO GIVE YOU ALOT OF VOTES TO MAKE YOU WIN THE ELECTIONS,,VIVA UPND ,,2011,,VIVA H.H..GOD BLESS ZAMBIANS.
