Local government deputy minister Moses Muteteka inspect the Chilenje market which is under construction

MMD National Youth chairman Moses Muteteka says the party will not protect any youth that will engage in violent activities.

Mr Muteteka says it is irresponsible for youths from any political party to engage violence which can disturb the peace and unity the country has enjoyed over the years.

He told ZNBC on Saturday that the MMD leadership will not tolerate anyone engaging in violence because the party has been preaching peace for some time now.

Mr Muteteka has advised parties against using youths as tools in their quest to attain political mileage.

And Mr Muteteka has called for the suspension of distribution and sale of alcohol sachets popularly known as tujilijili.

He says most of the people involved in violent activities are youths who are under the influence of alcohol.

  1. MULEBEPA BANANI?? YOU ARE THE SAME THUGS THAT ARE ATTACKING PEOPLE, PLEASE MMD STOP VIOLENT AND LOOSE ELECTIONS PEACEFULLY

  2. Banning tujilijili wont change anything. The country is full of Kachaso and Nikolai and many other beverages. Tujilijili should be banned for other reasons, not the one stated above. The violence comes from pre-meditated intentions, not from alcohol consumption. Alcohol is just a morale booster. Kill the violence from its head, from the minds of the people, not from what they consume. Many drink alcohol but are not violent.

  3. many dnt see the real thing here. MMD or should i say RB brought in his bro William Banda as a commander of the MMD millitia to combat the PF known for its violence from the head Sata to the Kaponyas the foot soldiers. William Banda is doing the job Sata was doing when he was in MMD, we all remember the chawama wafana panga na piki scene. HH has the Mapatizya formular. all the main contenders for this years election have militias lets wait and see after the election.

  4. This statement is an admission that you have been condoning and encouraging violence in MMD against your political opponents in general and PF in particular.
Police have been impotent in protecting PF members against violent MMD hooligans despite numerous appeals to do so.
Thanks to the resolve of PF leadership telling its members to use anything and everything to protect themselves when attacked and or provoked by the MMD hooligans. Further, we are yet to see this happen practically.
While the poor youths have been used, what are you going to do to leaders like william banda that take advantage and exploit the vulnerability of the into violent behaviour?
    Bola yakosa nomba!!

  5. That is better approach. Its better said even if you do not do it. There is maturity in play. Compare that statement with anything Chishimba Kambwili (PF National Youth Chairperson)  has ever said. Even as PF we should appreciate some happenings. We should not oppose for the sake of opposing. Lets encourage good leadership with sense of responsibility. OF COURSE NOT THE TYPE RB HAS DIPICTED. WHERE EVEN THE JUDICIARY IS AFRAID TO GIVE RIGHT JUDGEMENT? ABASH INTIMIDATION OF NATIONALS! VIVA SATA!

  6. That’s my politician, not those bangwele Guy Scott, Lubinda and Kabimba, the shame of the human race.

  7. Just like Rupiah Banda, all MMD Officials do know practice what they say. There just too unreliable, the reason we’re sick and tired and getting them out after September 20th.

  8. I hope Muteteka survives his non violent political approach, because RB and his foreingner relative William Banda believes in political violence. Usually RB protects his violent relative William Banda.

Zambians can judge the difference between foreigners like RB and William Banda by their advocacy for peace. Pure Zambians are known for their peace approach to matters that affects Zambians and their care and courtesy.
