United Party for National Development (UPND) says the ferrying of party cadres from district to district by the ruling MMD is self deception of being popular in Southern Province.
UPND Southern Province General Secretary Mayaba Hanseluka was speaking in an interview this monring.
Mr. Hanseluka said ferrying of MMD cadres whenever President Banda goes in Southern Province is as much self deception by the MMD in the same way the PF’s Post Newspaper magnifies crowds at Mr Micheal Sata’s rallies which he described as a ‘fools paradise.
”President Banda and the MMD are ferrying cadres from district to district in the province claiming that they are popular but let me tell you that these cadres are from all the eleven districts of Southern Porvince and not Monze as claimed by the MMD”, said Hanseluka.
”This is self deception by President Banda and his MMD thinking that they are popular here.Its the same way the POST is portraying the PF to be popular by magnifying their crowds during rallies but come next tuesday, you will be shocked what the people of Zambiaa will do for their country”, added Hanseluka.
He claimed that the MMD has, in their panic stricken state, introduced a new dimension to corruption by dishing out mealie-meal,sugar, cooking oil among others to to voters after checking their voter’s cards.
The UPND Provincial General Secretary, however alleged that MMD’s outdated tactics will not work claiming that the real change wind is unstoppable world-over as can be seen in Middle-East and North Africa.
”Only those who have never worked with Sata who the Post painfully and shamefully want to make Zambians believe is the saviour of the people when the same paper which claims to dig deeper continues covering up hackings and arming of Kadobis in the Chawama bye-election when he was MMD National Secretary, so for us in the UPND, Sata and William Banda are the same”, Hanseluka said.

Hanseluka., your President HH is on record saying ‘People who are saying I can win the election and defeat the MMD without the Upnd/PF pact are cheating the people of Zambia” this is what HH said..so come 21ST when the results filter in you people who cheated HH will see the wisdom that lies behind that youngman..you dont make billions over night it takes planning and HH knows that hence his wise observations which you failed to see..because of greed we have handed the title over to RB…we have ourselves to blame..
If there is any serious challenger to RB it is Sata. Though this is painful to accept by a number of people, unfortunately that is how it is. Dont waste your vote on people you know deep down your heart that that they will not win. Voting for such is the same as endosing MMD to continue. I know this ia a painful fact but what can you do if someone has sold himself well? HH is a good candidate but winning mwandini iliko hard. Ukufumwapofye MMD PF seems to have a better chance. Your vote is secrete anyway it is up to you.
Popular does not deceive someone to good leader, you must put a line between a better leader and popular leader which of the voters failed to differentiate..!!  I think you and I are looking for better leader leader not a popular leader…It is better to continue with one you have than putting yourselves on fire. The same better said a lot short coming of some leaders, today they busy promoting them..Come Tuesday, the people of Zambia will an end to this self deception.

Time will alwys tell. All those who turn away from God are turning away from a relationship with Him. People must sit down and ponder. Did RB choose to be president? Did he struggle? God has very Good reason why he Prepared RB to be our President. And no one , I repeat; no one will impose themselves on the people without us consenting. In my language we have a proverb which says: ‘ Tsoka liyambila kumwendo.’ Literally meaning misfortune starts in the leg. What this means is that when you start seeing bad things as you start your journey think twice because in future you are likely to experience a more serious problem than the one in the leg.Look at winter cold season kabimba………..

@ 3, was thinking along same lines but after attending PF rally yesterday am not too sure… its like pf are taking things for granted , its worrying. there was no proper speeches given, unruly cadres and worse lack of maturity and seriousness in speakers including ba Sata. l was disappointed and left early. truth be told Movement of Mad Dogs seem to be more prepared and are really going for voters seriously. So am now thinking HH or CHIPIMO ??? Otherwise its back to RB…eish… ( best alternative?) cringe+++ PF mwaonaula me thinks ” rebels” were right afterall . they were actually PROGRESIVES.

The country is what it is now bcoz of what Mwanawasa did.How do you explain grading of all Lusaka and CB roads as a campain strategy, how do you explain distribution of bicycles all over Zambia, how do you explain distribution of sugar,meal meal, rice, money to cadres with voters cards.Is this not corruption at its waste? I think RB has done his homework. It is really difficult to steer a party in government because it is easier to criticise than to perfom. For things to be what they are…..RB has done well because the opposition has nothing to talk about. They have no alternative to what RB is doing.
Voting is not about what a leader talks about, no matter how beautiful and sentimetal words that may be, when change has come no one listens. May you alone. Me I don’t listen/ hear anything, may be ba PF balindowa!
Vote for a leader of your choice but be wise, as for me, I see alot of sense in what RB is doing and I don’t think this is the right time to experiment with leadership. The perceived crisis has deliberately been created by the membes to avoid obligations they got themselves into. You don’t fix that which is not broken!

It is actaully pathetic especially that the party’s average member is of very humble education. In short sata canot fight corruption coz he has no capacity to do so.

RB is a God-given-President,that’s why he did not even struggle to become one.Neither did he ever have the ambition of becoming one till after he was safely seated and anchored in State House.Sata, has been trying to impose himself on the Zambian people but to no avail.Had Sata been a sensible man,he would have quit politics.Imagine how he was side-lined and left in the cold by Dr,FTJ Chiluba despite having been loyal to FTJ to the point of becoming a fool.Think of losing to Dr Mwanawasa,a man who had left politics and had become a farmer!!Losing twice to the same man,what a shame.Take into account once again losing to RB,a man who was also gotten from a farm!Sata is once again losing to RB come Sept 20.Gentlemen and women,leadership comes from God.Sata will never be President.

How was it in 2008 ? The Post projected PF as a very popular party when in fact not. They used to show sata at very huge rallies which were false. when results came sata lost. the post insulted RB in all sorts of verbatim and were satisfied that they had done the Job.
