The Zambia National Women’s Lobby (ZNWL) has advised President Sata to make credible appointments of people to take up public office.
The women’s movement notes that it has now become a ‘Presidential’ game to error on some appointments and U-turn thereafter.
Lobby chairperson, Beauty Phiri says the development has since attracted a lot of negative debate, thus a call for credible appointments by the Republican President.
She says some appointments by the President are of people whose credibility is questionable and not fit to hold public office.
Ms Phiri notes that the reversed decisions started with the President’s over nominating of Members of Parliament
And the Zambia National Women’s Lobby (ZNWL) has joined many other organizations and individuals castigating the composition of the technical committee of experts to draft the constitution.
Women’s lobby chairperson, Beauty Phiri says the current composition of the technical committee will not adequately represent civil society.
She notes that the inclusion of three catholic bishops on the 20-member committee has reduced inclusion of other people from other sectors.
There has been uproar from other stakeholders on the selection of members to sit on a committee constituted to look in to the constitution making process

Women lobbying what? Lobying sex? what is this organisation called ZNWL and just by looking at the chairperson u can know what to expect from such an organisation. In zambia pipo look so frustrated and miserable.
Women Lobby Group is a toothless organization period. My concern is the appointment of Japhen Mwakalombe. I can not understand the rationale for his appointment. TIZ is quiet and can not buck. He caused a bye-election because PF promised him a job as an ambassador.

This shows that education is important, what our grade 4 president is showing us is a sight of lack of judgement and knowledge. This man has already made more mistakes that all the previous presidents put together.Â

Â Am a Lunda and shamelessly denounce Sata’s tribal stance. We refuse to be second class citizens in a joint venture country. I want to be free in Balotseland, the land of milk, honey, Oil and mineral wealth. Just a warning to all those that castigates a tonga person,.. you do that again, you touch a tonga person again and you will touch a lundandembu’s eye pupil.

The problem with ZAMBIA is that we dont seem to have the ability to elect credible and capable leaders who have a deep understanding of how a modern democracy and economy functions.
This country is allergic to knowledgeable people because of the kaponya mentality. Thats why Barotseland wants out!!
Sata does not possess the qualities needed to take us a step further. Actually, in my opinion we have never had such a President in this country except Mwanawasa who came close to that but he also made a blunder by going back to UNIP!!
