The MMD has distanced its self from a scheme reportedly being promoted by some opposition political leaders in the North Western Province aimed at destabilizing the region.

MMD National Secretary Richard Kachingwe says his party has nothing to do with recent revelations by State house that some politicians are inciting people to rise against the government.

Major Kachingwe has told ZNBC news that the MMD would never have such ill intended motives of bringing down a legitimately elected government.

And the council of Elders, an interest group championing interests of people in the North Western province has also disassociated its self from any grouping carrying out subversive activities in the region.

Council of Elders Chairperson Lucas Chikoti has since challenged law enforcement agencies to probe the grouping, if they had sufficient evidence that the association is mobilizing people to revolt against government.

Mr. Chikoti noted that his association will work with any government to bring development to the North Western Province.

State house on Wednesday disclosed that a horde of politicians are allegedly going round executing a scheme with the help of traditional rulers to destabilise the country.

  1. Ba PF running when nobody is chasing you… All these are allegations to build and justify the atrocities of this rogue leadership – Unfortunately for this old serpent, we have known you from old and we are dealing with you accordingly. Zambia is a Christian nation – called by the name of God. The Lord declares, do not touch my anointed…. On your knees Zambian people..

  2. Any Dictator is always afraid just like a thief.
    A thief runs even when no one is cahsing.
    SATA will be very afraid of anything because he knows he is not doing what he promissed the people and he is gpoing against their expectations.

  3. This makes sad reading.
    Being a dictator is very close to SATA’s heart, mind and actions.
    SATA if not checked will begin to rule by dictatorship, this is what his actions has always displayed.
    .

    It will be very sad for people to have waken up at 03:00 AM to vote for a new leader in the name of SATA in preference to his predicessor only to discover later that they had laboured to usher in a dictator.
    .

    I know that not everyone who voted for SATA is happy they did a good thing; many have already regreted while yet many others are not sure whether they did the right thing. Others didn’t know what was happening and they still dont know what is happening.

  4. How do you tell one is a dictator?
    – They lie;
    – They threaten;
    – They use propaganda to divert people from the truth for their advantage;
    -They dont respect the law.
    .

    SATA can disregard the courts’ process and give back to Mahtan Finance bank while the matters are in court.
    It was said Banda was interfering with the Court, but SATA has no regard for the courts whatsoever.

  5. But these Bembas were born to rule us, we need to bow down to our rulers the Bemba elite
    Let us accept there is no use, they shall always be in power
    Because we are all bloody cowards

  6. Where there is tribalism, expect slow developments. One Zambia, One Nation would certainly encompass everyone. ONE LOVE.

  7. Council of Elders Chairperson Lucas Chikoti please this should even make you to support the MMD and UPND more than before you have the RIGHT of complaining against this DICTATOR called Sata.

    Don’t be intimidating by Sata.

    MMD Kachingwe should not respond to Sata because whatever nonsense Sata is saying gets validated when you respond to it!

  8. Dictator or not. Let HE MCS get our money back. You people thought muli bamuyayaya. You can call him names, but he is fixing you

  9. Why is the nation being alarmed like this? Firstly, it was the minister of defence alarming the nation in October that there were opposition party leaders planning to assassinate PF leaders. Police command even assured the nation that they were following leads on this and would tell the nation asap. To date, nothing concrete has come out of that probe. Now there is this about NWP chiefs, that they are being influenced by known opposition political leaders, really? What is the fear all about? Then there is the blocking of 2 Evangelical bishops from exercising their freedom of speech! So what if they want to rebuke you? You don’t expect to be loved by everyone. Let everyone exercise their democratic right to expression. Democracy is not dictatorship. There is no need to hero-worship anyone.

  10. IAM VERY HAPPY THAT SATA IS IN GOVERNMENT MWEEEE. I WISH HE HAS BEEN HERE FROM 2001. BUT ANYWAY, GOD’S TIME IS THE BEST TIME. WOW, MOST OF YOU BLOGGERS ARE JUST RANTING. YOU KNOW THAT THINGS HAVE CHANGED FOR THE BETTER.

  11. May peace continue in Zambia and may we be one people.

    Clearly from evidence so far, Sata is not fit to be president. However, democracy triumphed and peoploe voted him into power.

    The major good thing out of the 2011 elections is that people removed a party that had ruled for a long time. This alone sets Zambia well for the future as people’s confidence in their ability to change govt has been enhanced. Now, changing political parties will become normal in Zambia just as it is in USA and UK to mention a few.

  12. the powers or commander-in-chief and President, say what ever u wanna coz ur minister can’t advise Our President on is job description.
