Former Vice President, George Kunda has described the commission of inquiries established by the PF government as a sheer waste of tax payers’ money.
Mr. Kunda who is MMD Chairperson for Legal Affairs says he does not understand the reasoning behind the commissions noting that strengthening already existing institutions such as DEC, Police and the ACC should have been the ideal.

He has urged the government to disclose the amounts the commissioners get as sitting allowances.

  1. True George. A sheer waste of tax payers’ money. Instead of the Govt coming up with a team who can devise a development plan, they are busy spending money following foot steps in the bush just to find that the foot steps take them round the bush and back to the same point. This leaves Sata to be disappointed with the commissions because the pipo are telling Sata that there are so many ways of getting to the market. The path they (MMD) used was legit. Meanwhile lots of money is being spent to the disadvantage of farmers, youth and pensioners. What a shame.

  2. BA KUNDA YOU SHOULD BE THE LAST PERSON TO TALK ABOUT MISUSING TAX PAYERS MONEY. YOU MISHANDLED OUR MONEY AND JUSTIFIED YOURSELVES TOGETHER WITH YOUR BOSS!

ARE YOU SCARED OF BEING PROBED? HAVE THEY ALMOST FOUND YOUR BILLIONS PLACE OF BURIAL AND WANT TO BLOCK THEM? DO YOUR JOB AND LET THEM DO THEIRS.

  3. That’s good opposition Kunda, keep it up! Issue a constructed critism every 3 days to keep PF on its toes. Sata, no doubt was the best opposition leader, even mwanawasa observed that. Rupiah also did and that explains why he finally won the presidential race. Currently, we dont have opposition, you are too and scared, especially HH. Take a leaf from Sata.
How much are the commissioners being paid: Good question. And PF, to hell with donch Kubeba, answer with the aid of a vein diagram!

  4. GK is right. They are stage-managed.Even Kalaki made a satire about them.Everybody knows except religious students of Bwinjimfumu Rd.

  5. I am told even Sata’s relatives who have not been appointed into a commission of enquiry are complaining.

one was overheard saying’ ifwe nanomba tabatubika mu commission of enquiry nangu imo’

  6. Aka ka swine has forgotten he wasted K240 billion kwacha on something he knew was a non starter-NCC.

Bushe shiki yalipwa or elyo ichilile. This is why kalesabailafye nomba.

  7. People two wrongs don’t make a RIGHT! GK is very right. So does his wrongs make the PF wrongs Right? Think!!! He has the right to point out the wrongs just as PF had the the right to point out his wrongs so if he is saying something right just agree with him. Italian Bunga Bunga (Original) no need to insult. And being sick is no laughing matter. All insults I see are in Bemba on this blog, does it mean that the best that Bembas can do is to insult? Be constructive!

    • @Tutu. I am not even Bemba you plonker. I grew up on the CB where bemba is the main language. I didn`t come from some village in the SP like you.

  8. How many commissions of inquiry are we going to have? Indeed, we have government institutions and quangos to handle this work. No wonder the reports have no executive summaries! Yes.

  9. A commission of enquiry to establish the cause of riots in Mongu ? is there any fool who does not know the causes of those riots? And recently under the PF government three people were shot dead in Ndola. Where is the commission of enquiry to prob the causes of these deaths ? leaders must not be petty; they must exhibit maturity in the way they handle issues.

  10. Zambians do know how to hold an incumbert president to account. Only when he leaves office. Thsi is why we will always wicth hunt former presidents. The above blogs show this.

Unless we learn how to make our presidents accountable whilst they are in office, corruption and waste of resources, like G Kunda is talking about, will continue. The man is right. Let’s correct things now instead of waiting for Sata and Pf to leave govt for us to come say you wasted our money on unnnecessary commisions.

In indeed it is true that the quality of our leaders reflect the quality of voters to an extent.

  11. MMD people make me nauseous. I want to throw up every time they open their stinking corrupt mouths. When they ran national affairs with impunity we never had the kind of freedom of speech they are now enjoying under PF. All you morons insulting PF know that you could not have had the same courage under MMD. The hour has gone. The boat has arrived. You can cry and insult and be as childish as you like. Mwaliwa ba kolokombwa.

  12. No one expects a thief to like the police man. GK you failed us and you are only afraid of what is coming your way. Keep quiet you criminal and let the mighty PF government do the job.

  13. Ladies and Gentlemen this is what democracy is all about,Mr.Kunda sit down you had yr moment and let PF make it’s own mistakes then the people will judge. All the Commissions are done to correct the wrongs on behalf of the people of Zambia. If it comes out no wrong was committed then all win,if it comes out someone did wrong then they must pay for the wrong. Most of you actually all of you Politicians have lived very well at the expense of the little man (the poor). Zambian deserve a a leadership which has fiscal responsibility not like my old man from Chipata who went all over the world and left the Zambian with a huge bill courtesy of international traveler what a joke.

  14. Mr.Sata is almost getting there the last trip to Uganda he had a big entourage so let us not talk about Mr.Banda ONLY.Zambians keep these Politicians in Check to make them accountable it is your MONEY.
