President Michael Sata has reiterated that he will govern the country based on the biblical Ten Commandments.

President Sata has also emphasized the need for all churches in the country to continue being united and contribute towards the elimination of challenges such as poverty which have continued to affect the people thereby contributing to corruption.

QFM NEWS reports that the Head of State was speaking at an interdenominational church service this afternoon at the Cathedral of the Holy cross in Lusaka to commemorate the world day of prayer.

President Sata further stated that he will continue having high regard for the women folk because of the role that they play in developing the country from community to national level.

This year’s theme of world day of prayer is “Let Justice Prevail”.

And in a Sermon Reformed Church of Zambia’s Reverend Margaret Banda noted that lack of fear for God and the Paralysis of laws have continued to contribute to the injustices in the country.

Reverend Banda noted that this has resulted in workers being subjected to exploitative working conditions, child defilement and rape cases among other evil vices.

The clergy also observed that there is need to have a fair judicial system that will see the establishment of fast track courts to deal with cases of child defilement.

She also noted that street children have become a money making venture as most people use them to solicit for money from the donor community yet they have continued to suffer.

Reverend Banda emphasized the need for people to have the fear of God by being obedient to his commands.

  1. You will see how frustrated i.diots will say here..shamenda already made a statement hes a govt spokesperson the issue of homosexuality was concluded yesterday..we dont want to see key board interlectuals toking bu.ll sh.t here.If u talk abt homsexuality, you are the lowest expectation mother f.ucker ever..in advance.

  2. simply well put. We also expect the role of the church apart from preaching the peace and unity,to be a voice of the voiceless. we dont expect the curch to be politicking like we have seen some tuntemba churches with blind followers. thanx mr presido.

  3. Thou shall not covert your neighbor’s wife

Women are exempt from this one. The law is for men only.

    • @ Nubian princes i never realised this scripture only refers to men. These days even married women chase after married men.

    • Women are also as much to blame, if only they could keep them closed! If women focused more on educating and empowering themselves rather then chasing after easy money, we would have a great nation.

The fact that Sata has made this statement about governing by the TEN COMMANDMENTS is itself breaking the TEN COMMANDEMENT prophesy.

WHY? Because Sata is telling a lie – through his teeth.

Just how many lies has Sata said since he made the same statement about ruling by the Ten Commandments, just after getting inaugurated? Yes, he is human and cannot be perfect but he must spare us the – “You Know What!”

This is not about judging Sata whether he believes or does not believe in the Ten Commandants. But, he is playing a typical “PHARISEE” that shows his dry-lips pretending to be spiritually-fasting when his stomach is full-up with fattening.

  5. .
The Ten Commandments is not about parading yourself and pausing in front of the ZNBC camera when you go to Church. It’s about doing the righteous noble thing even when it means doing right to your adversaries, enemies, people that did not vote for you or don’t agree with you.

As for the church, yes they must play their part too, just like any Zambian has the obligation to better the nation

  6. Mr Serpent Cobra Sata, do you think i will believe you with the so many u-turns you have made so far? Just enjoy our hard earned money, alas!

  7. Still hurting bane? Wait 2016; maybe, just may be yours will have a chance. Bye bye polio!! Kateka has spoke, the rest are listening; even those that are against every word, for as long as you are a Zambian by birth, by what ever means, President is Satana Kaponya – Chilufya – the one and only Shikulu, grade seven, kapyanga wapa train station. what happend to you professors, doctors, lawyers? Where were you when a grade seven was being elected as a president? Its called “believe”; or “strategy”. You used the books, he used “passion for the land”. We are listening our president, and we love you. Ooh sorry, “I am listening master president” and so are my “tubwas” on their website. Good weekend

  8. If governing by the 10 commandments was the ideal, the Pharisees would not have been criticised by Jesus.
If living according to the ten commandments was possible, Jesus would not have come to save the world.
The 10 commandments are like a mirror. They cannot change the way you look, but they can tell you how you look, and in a holy God’s eyes, you are not looking good.

  9. # 9 the 10 commandments are a practical way of christianity. They are something you can see and feel. Sata is a practical man so you will understand where he is coming from.

  10. Lying president who has run out of ideas. On Tv 19hours news hewas quoted to saying “you can not love your neighbour if he is poor, if he has no food, if he has no job, if he has no water. I thought he should have said the opposite. perhaps he doesn’t know nor understand sentence construction. As for 10 commandments sata should be the first one to be stoned since he has broken most of them. the truth is that the support he enjoyed until he became president has droped so drastically because faulks have realized he is untrusworthy and a man without direction.

  11. You better follow them.Or else you will get realigned one of these days because of your s.illy irritating behavior

  12. This chap should first reflect on his actions the past 5 months and see if he is ruling by the 10 commandmends. As far as iam concerned has not done so. First SP, people are crying about his unilateral decree and has not listening to them but threatening violence. Second, B64. Instead of talking to the Lozi people he goes to the media and disappoints them dispite being his election promise. Third, discrimination on the basis of tribe. He is only appointing his tribesmen. This chap deserve to burn in HELL.

  13. He says that he WILL, but we are left wondering when he is going to start. So far, it has been far from the ten commandments. However, since firing silly malama, we have heard less of alarming statements and witch hunting.

  14. 10# Teze Bantu .

The Ten Commandments are not only for CHRISTIANITY

The Ten Commandments are in the book of Exodus written by Moses way before Jesus & Mohammed was born. They are aligned in the “JEWISH and ISLAM faiths as well.

The Ten Commandments are in the Koran or Qur’an as well. Just like Islam recognises Jesus as a Prophet. Though “ us followers” of CHRISTIANITY see him and believe that he is the Son of God

Any person that works up in the morning goes to Work, School, College, uses her/his Talents to have a living is a practical person. Nation building does not come from the top to the bottom but the other way up.

What is needed a government that is laying down Good Governing Polices and putting them to practice. So that the nation can find mediums to create Jobs, Wealth, maximise Natural Resources to grow the economy from where MMD left. And balance investments programs between Local & Foreign Investors.

Its always good to practice what you preach. Sata is simply doing the opposite.
Where are the practicality that Sata has done in terms of Accountability, Job Creation, Investments, Social Justice, Environment and Economical Plans?

Five months in power, we need to be seeing a Foundation Plan that we can use to build the nation.

Sata’s own minsters don’t even know what are the Government Policies, worse more his PF Manifesto. No wonder why Kabimba appears frustrated shaming the cabinet.

  17. @#3 Women are also as much to blame, if only they could keep them closed! If women focused more on educating and empowering themselves rather then chasing after easy money, we would have a great nation.

  18. A shameless President playing to the gallery. Meantime still no tangible model of development for the Country and we are in the 6th months down the road. Sata still talks like he is yet to become President. Makes all past Presidents look very smart.

  19. We are not under law but under Grace.

Galatians 3 vs10 For as many as are out of works of the Law, these are under a curse; for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the Book of the Law, to do them. “

  20. @ INDEPENDENT OBSERVER and 9MAMBA well articulated. You have made my day knowing Wise Zambians still exist on Lusaka Times. Before the PF MMD and UPND Cadres show up let us digest truth.

  21. AWE MWE our Nubian Princess hahahahahahahahahaha that has made my morning laughing like it was the eighties :)
