The Southern African Centre for the Constructive Resolution of Disputes (SACCORD) has advised government to go by fugitive Henry Banda’s proposal to have him interrogated in a neutral country.
SACCORD information officer Obby Chibuluma says if government has strong grounds against Henry, it should work with the South African government to ensure that Henry answers to the allegations in that country.
Mr. Chibuluma said there is nothing wrong with the Zambian government interrogating Henry from South Africa as he recently suggested.
Speaking to QFM news, Mr. Chibuluma said if government is not ready to follow up the matter, now that Henry has disclosed his whereabouts, it should stop wasting time for Zambians and concentrate on other national issues.
He says government should stop giving excuses for their failure to have Henry answerable to allegations of corruption leveled against him.

The Zambian government will not do this because they have nothing to charge Henry with. Henry’s lawyers have been asking what exactly he is to answer to but the IG has failed to respond.
He is also no longer wanted by Interpol…the IG’s case is clearly falling apart.
Useless government we have, Henry is no longer wanted by Interpol and the Danish government refused to extradite Shansonga to Zambia because they think this government is very petty and both cases are politically motivated.Â

Henry Banda is not on Interpol wanted persons list. so ZP can not expect him to come to Zambia or Interpol to do anything.
Right now Henry is in Lusaka and will have a wedding this Saturday at inter continental hotel were the wife’s relative will be marrying Nervers Mumba relative. The intelligence and the police know that he is in the country. Some of them have been invited to this function. So the talk of him being a wanted man is a non issue because some intelligence agents are with him right now. 4 months ago, he flew in Lusaka and was lodged in Inter Continental Hotel. The Police were informed and the top boss said leave him alone! To the Police , why sensitize and energize the populace about a person, when you know you are just playing games? The case is clearly politically motivated. Interpol and even SAPS know this that is why they will not help in getting him to Zambia. They don’t want to soil their hands with the filth going on in Zambia

The British Govt have no reason to interview Assange. He is wanted in Sweden for alleged offences. The extradition order has been granted and all the British Govt want to do is to execute the order. But Assange has sought refuge in the Ecuadorian embassy so I can’t see where you got your idea that the British Govt want to interview this chap.

This Govt has no credibility nor the moral authority to talk about corrupt activities in the MMD. Infact the accusations against RB and Mwanawasa are proving to be baseless and vindictive. Today we learn that Sata has further increased his salary by a further K50m and allowances by another K19m. So what is the difference between him and Henry?Â
Henry Banda is a thief period. Any increament of the president’s salary has to be assented to by parliament. The opposition member of parliament can vote against the increament. In any case if the salary of the sitting president goes up, it means the salaries of the former president also goes up by the same margin. May be that is the reason why Rupiah Banda is so quite. Amon Sibande ran away to South Africa but eventually the long arm of the zambian law caught up with him. Even for Henry it is a matter of time.

This is what the Zambian government should do.
1. Charge Henry with the offence.
2. Take the matter to a Magistrate in absentia.
3. Go to SA court and seek extradition.
But all this cannot happen, why? Because, they have NOTHING on him. All they want is to torture him and then force him to admit to what did not happen.
