Keagan Mumba Banks on Ramseys Recovery

Zambia Under 20 coach Keagan Mumba is praying that striker Noble Ramsey will be fit for Saturday’s African Youth Championship qualifier against Mali.

Ramsey sustained an injury in a training game on Tuesday at Arthur Davies Stadium in Kitwe where Zambia will host Mali.

Ramsey collided head-on with Ndeke Blades goalkeeper Moses Chola in the warm-up game which the Junior Chipolopolo won by 6-nil.

Both players were later taken to Wusakile Mine Hospital.

“We had one player Noble Ramsey who collided with the keeper. I hope he will be OK in the last two days. But it is not a serious one I think the doctors will work on it,” Mumba said

The trainer was happy with the way the team performed in the test match.

Mumba said he was particularly satisfied with the performance of late arrivals, Simon Kapengwe of DR Congo team Don Bosco and Peter Mulenga from KB Hacken of Sweden.

He also indicated that Zambia was not concerned about Mali’s preparations that have set up camp in the Senegalese capital Dakar and have so far played two friendlies with local clubs there.

“We can’t comment on Mali. I have always said I have watched Mali on DVD, they are a strong team. We are not underrating them,” Mumba added.

  1. Wow wow, my keeper Moses Mapulanga, plus Sate-Sate, Mukuka Mulenga, and those ZANACO with unique names: Ramsey & Staci. Good to hear there also boys from abroad, plus Kasama United. I think that’s why they are winning 6-0.

    • how tribalist and racist. Just because they have western names it doesnt make them any less Zambian than anyone you know.

  2. Ramsey & Staci!!!? are these boys zambian or we are fusing in non zambian’s just so we can get results? Kaya uko mwabene……

  3. Sate sate and Nyaende, are thez guys below the age of 20? Pliz twapapata! Its lyk saying Mayuka was born in 1990 and hez 22, ndoleshafye ine. Anyway Mali has owez been our meat so i dont see the reazon why we shouldnt butcher them this tym around. Ka 4-0 fye imwetuma Boys, I trust ba Keegan a lot so no worries!!!!!!!! Go boys fight en conquer, u hav all wat it takes to beat them.

  4. Ex Zit mayuka is 22. well equatorial guinea had three quarters of Brazilian and other nationality players so we can also have some Zambians of foreign decent.
