ALL THE WORLD IS A STAGE by Luka Mwango
All the world’s a stage/
People trapped in life’s cage/
Authenticity swallowed by society’s perception/
People are now clones of the majority’s election/
Told what to wear/
Told how to think/
Told what to eat/
Told who to love/
Yet under the illusion of freedom/
All the world’s a stage/
We play roles better than Hollywood/
Afraid to be shun/
From our true selves we run/
Academy award winners in the art of fallacies/
Facades the economic currencies/
On the set of life we dance to the tune/
Magazines our costume designers/
Television our make-up artist/
Music our talent agent/
And Media our director/
Lights, camera, action/
The lifeless drones are ready to act the fiction/
All the life’s a stage/
Now the church’s joined in on the exploit/
Trying to reduce the Holy spirit into tradition’s rot/
Putting God in a box to suite their self-delusions/
If it doesn’t concern their talents then it isn’t spiritual/
So the musician thrive and the lyricists feel minimal/
Slain in the spirit but sometimes it’s just emotional/
“We need the melody to feel heavenly”/
But last time I checked the all-sufficient word came without a tune/
Pharisee Religion is an act of rules/
That forgets the God that rules/
But pleases stupid fools/
All the world’s a stage/
Yep, we not on the same page/
For Jesus took off my make-up/
For Grace undressed me of life’s masks/
For the Holy Spirit told be authenticity/
Was the fulfillment of prophecy/
Because diversity is the divine currency/
IF I WAS HIS IPAD by Pamela Sinkamba
My man comes home, with him a new ipad,
Costly was it but willing was he to make spend,
On the thing he says meets quality of his fad,
Rather to throw away so much for him to blend.
And I wonder, can he so much spend on me or blend in with me?
I sit close by and watch as he turns on his i-pad,
Softly caressing it with eyes so shining bright,
Like a boy he smiles as the thing makes him glad,
So much for the gadget that raised him to flight,
And I wait for that caress too, hoping I can make him glad.
At midnight am sleepless from the light of the ipad,
My man still touching and feeling the smooth screen,
His mind engrossed, doesn’t see me genuinely mad,
If another hour goes then he should hear me scream,
And yet I look on wishing he could feel my smooth skin.
It is morning, as my man sleeps I look closely at the ipad,
The gadget that now holds the most special place,
Oh, how you have taken my royal space?
With an envious flicker could’ve dashed it with a bat,
And then I realise he will soon grow weary of the useless ipad!
DARK LIGHT by Mwangwa Prince Zombe
Dark Light
Caught between the spirits and graves
The decomposed hearts start to rise
A regretful martyr; loves not worth life
Signs of a serene smile mocking thy heart
A monk bound by passion; chained by flame
Repulsive beauty inflicting to my soul
Inculcated pain swiftly blended with adore
Sinful nightmares ended in pleasure
Pools of blood; the consequences of love
Contagious poison fills thy heart with emptiness
Life’s a paradox in which I strive
In this darkness that you set afire
Since in this fight I truimph to lose; an oxymoron
For your spontaneous fondness is hardly won.
MY by Nabisa Chibuye
My thefts,
My nakedness,
What I have always known to be wrong
I now rightfully embrace.
You were here,
You walked where I am walking,
You graced my town,
You loved my friends.
I heard you sleep,
I saw you breath.
I held your hand
And buried my face in your neck.
My love,
My ruin,
My shame,
My end.

One more important issue is that if you are a senior, travel insurance regarding pensioners is something you ought to really contemplate. The older you are, a lot more at risk you’re for having something negative happen to you while in most foreign countries. If you are certainly not covered by quite a few comprehensive insurance policy, you could have quite a few serious troubles. Thanks for discussing your ideas on this blog.
