PRESIDENT Michael Sata was on Sunday night honoured with the 2012 South-South Global Governance leadership Award here by South-South Corporation with a pledge to continue with the renewed and re-invigorated energy in consolidating governance structures in Zambia.

Mr Sata was the first to receive the award among the five leaders who included Liberia president Sirleaf Ellen Johnson, Africa Union Chairperson Dlamin Zuma,Lesotho Prime minister Thomas Thabane and former Nigerian president Olesegun Obasanjo.

The president was honoured at the Waldorf Astoria Ball Room around 20:00 hours local time.

The theme of this year’s award is e-government and sustainable tourism.

The award was co-organised by the Permanent Mission of Antigua and Barbuda to the United Nations, the international Telecommunication Union, the United Nations World Tourism Organisation and South-South Corporation.

The president who was accompanied by his wife Christine and daughter Mwelwa was escorted to the podium to receive the award by Zambia’s permanent representative to the United Nations Mwaba Kasese-Bota.

President Sata was honoured for his contribution to the social and economic development of the country since he first served as councilor and executive governor at the Lusaka City Council from 1981 to 1988 until becoming president.

President Sata’s longest serving political career which stimulated innovation development including landmark infrastructure and social service were some attributes for being honoured.

The other attributes were that, since taking over presidency in September last year, president Sata had proven relentless fighting corruption, reinstating the abuse of office ensuring government accountability.

His continued support of e-government reforms through investment in information and communication technologies where 16 new radio and broadcasting licenses had been issued and improved internet connectivity were among other attributes for being honoured.

In his accepting the award speech, president Sata the South- South global governance leadership award epitomises Zambia’s resolve for democratic tenets in Africa through the holding of free and fair elections over the years and years to come.

President Sata said the award would enhance good governance practices and Gender equality.

“I accept this award on behalf of the Zambian people who have exhibited resilience and vigilance to ensure Zambia continues to practice free and fair norms or electoral governance and democracy,” President Sata said amid cheers from the audience.

Mr Sata added; “To the people of Zambia, I take this award and pledge to continue with the renewed and
Re-invigorated energy in consolidating the governance structures which facilitate equity of distribution of resources and infrastructure for the betterment of all Zambians and for posterity.”

The South-South 2012 awards would recognize governments, organization and individuals who have made significant contribution to the implementation of the e-governance and sustainable tourism through policy and programme initiative which successfully address global development.

He, however, invited the world to Zambia as the country co hosts the world tourism organisation general Assembly, in august 2013 with Zimbabwe.

President Sata assured the visitors of Zambia’s excellence of tourism endowment, natural and undisturbed habitation, including bungee jumping over the Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Wonders of the World.

“There is need for you people to come see the Kalambo Falls and other unmatched tourism products Zambia has,” Mr Sata said.

Foreign affairs minister Given Lubinda, commerce trade and industry minister Bob Sichinga, tourism and Art minister Sylvia Masebo and finance deputy minister Miles Sampa were among the guests that attended the award ceremony.

The rest were Attorney General Mumba Malila, foreign Affairs permanent secretary Peter Kasanda, presidential assistant, press and public relations George Chellah.

Speaking to journalists after the ceremony, Mr Lubinda said it was gratifying to see president Sata being honoured because his contribution to national development started way back when he was a councilor.

Mr Lubinda said the award would inspire people in leaderships and future leaders to ensure a better country for future posterity.

“I will issue a ministerial statement as soon as I get back home so that my fellow minister and members of parliament can be made aware of this very prestigious recognistion,” Mr Lubinda said.

Mr Lubinda said it was important that president Sata was recognized for trying to bring power and leadership to the power.

He said Mr Sata’s principle was based on the Patriotic Front manifesto of bring power to loser to the people.

  1. Congratulations our President. You have honored everyone its time for you to be honored. We are proud of you as your people in Zambia. Your hard work and dedication has paid you and mother Zambia. I wish the young can take a leaf from you. Well Done Mr. President.

  2. The Public Roads ACT No.12 of 2002 which established the RDA is very clear on the Legal Status (it is a corporate body), Functions, Powers, and Composition of the Agency. Section 6(5) the ACT is also abundantly clear that the Agency shall report to the Committee of Ministers on Road Maintenance Initiative. Accordingly, what Sata is attempting to do is in very simple terms ILLEGAL. He should henceforth rescind his ill-advised attempt to takeover RDA from the Ministry of Transport or the supervision of the Link Zambia 8000 project from the Ministry of Works and Supply. We all know his motives. Fortunately for us, the law will ensure that his motives are frustrated.

    • Keep dreaming!! If you have been part of the useless technocrats that swindled Zambians over the years through RDA you are stuffed. RDA had some of the most corrupt technocrats that had no ethical values in what ever they did. Roads were done to fake specifications, approved, and paid for. No liquidated and ascertained damage period that was fit for its purpose. WE THE EDUCATED HAVE LET THIS COUNTRY DOWN; and out of desperation Sata has decided to micro-manage this unit. I certainly understand his motive. He will not take it away literally; but he will micro manage it.

    • The Truth,I can assure you that you willnever see such an article on watch galu. The only article you may see will be about the criteria used to award Sata. Both watch galu and UPND knows that Sata will deliver and Ha Ha stands no chance of winning the 2016 elections. This is a reason why they want him dead or make the country ungovernable and then come into govt through the back door.

    • RDA was one facet dey used 2 syphon taxpayers’ money thru corruption. The Cobra has the heart 4de Zambians. Anyone wu will try 2 syphon, de Cobra will kam frm behind en spit on dat some1. The President has no appetite or reason 2 steal frm the Zambians. All he means is to just bring sanity in the delivery of the project. He and the PF knows that only way they can retain power is by being transparent and successfully deliver on their projects(not by standing on the Podium and denouncing the Powers in power). Just keep ur eyes wide open and check on the PF’s successes!

  3. some of these awards one wonders.Sata brought improved internet connectivity….sustainable tourism? thats a laugh. Now I understand the logic behind the story-Emperors new clothes

    • Speaking to journalists after the ceremony, Mr Lubinda said it was gratifying to see president Sata being honoured because his contribution to national development started way back when he was a councilor — M are you one of the TONGA STRAY DOGS?

  4. Which planet do the people who issue such rewards live in? Next they will honour Magabe for good leadership and democratic skills. Anyway congrats though I don’t think you deserve such an award.

    • You know what there are people in the world who are free to look at things objectively. You are looking at things from the Opposition subjective perspective where even the good that happens is bad in your eyes. Even Mugabe – he has been virified by the west and you blindly agree! Mugabe is a great leader and has contributed significantly to the liberation of Zimbabwe – what you are calling failure – the land redistribution prgm – that was a bold decision that has solved Zimbabwe’s problems for ages to come. If he had not done what he did, Zimbabwe would be sitting on the time bomb. Just watch what will happen to South Africa. So don’t always read things from the mainstream thoughts of the WEST and OPPOSITION – take a step back and reflect.

  5. The first lady should dress like one, showing her boobs is unlike her office. Please do not wear everything that is in fashion it does not go well for your office. Remember you are a doctor not a street first lady.

  6. Bonnita @ first lady.com…don`t be surprised that it is the first thing i have seen.I just happen to have yes of an eagle.

  7. Bonnita @ first lady.com…don`t be surprised that it is the first thing i have seen.I just happen to have eyes of an eagle.

  8. Bwana you found things in place. Internet and communication, you even want to investigate private websites efyo mwasanga fye elyo umbi nao ati You have contributed what internet, what radio, what tourism, teti bomfwe nensoni?

    • Let be realistic ! not any award in this world is an award careful check the world where the UN and it organisms are leading the world.:-?

  9. LT, you keep flushing this of this nonsensical ‘news’ down our throats

WHo cares about these mickey mouse awards?
    Please stick to the bottomline!

    Thanks

  10. You have made Zambia proud your Execllency. Continue to bed the governance structure. Enhance democracy by entrenching the rule of law and freedom of speech which is the watchdog of society. Remember that broadcast will of the late LPM who asked all of us to fight corruption. Contiue with the legacy of Levy by fighting corruption to bring development. Twasanta, lwitumezi, zikomo, twatasha, twalumba!!!!!!!!!!!!

  11. Too much of exposing boobs for a first lady. Congrats ba mudala. You should have told mama that teti ufwale umusango uyu. Pictures were going to be posted.

    • Problem niyako iwe. Usendela muminwe katundu yobe. Put it back into your 007James Bond swimming costume. It doesn’t excite everybody.

  12. Which planet & country has Sata brought social & economic development? My foot, may the underworld Sata has done something, not in Zambia the country i have lived since i was born to today.

  13. Congratulates Mr President. While HH is fighting to discredit u through Embassies, other people are watching and the result is an award of good governance. I wonder how HH is feeling. The chap will soon die of hypertension !o!

  14. PF AND HEMCS Ni Ziiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii.

  15. Congratulations to our dear president, please instruct the State House Carpenters to build a bigger display cabinet as there are more gongs to come.
I’m sure ka under5 is wallowing in bitter diarrhoea at sight of these photos.

  16. That is my President! Congratulations Your Excellency. We are proud of you. We have always known you to be a hard working man, and it is a pleasure to see that the world has also noticed your qualities. I am sure HH will have something negative to say about this but never mind. I am certain that all truthful and honest Zambians know that you are doing a great job. We are behind you. We want to see Zambia gaining its lost glory in the coming few years. We love you mother Zambia!

  17. Can someone look at improving/building image of our first lady. The brazilian hair and low clevage don’t look for the first lady. She must cover those milk things for the old man. Look at the dignified way Mama Betty used to dress!! That should be a lady to emulate!!

  18. Besides the flimsy grounds under which award has been given, I just want to state that the dressing by the First Lady is inappropriate and not befitting her age , qualifications and status for that matter and comments on this thread testify to that.

Look at the way women who dress their age, qualifications and command the respect of even bloggers, Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma

Madam learn from Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, You don’t have to compete with the young Thandiwe Banda. Dress your age and status in life. Can’t imagine Hillary Clinton dressed like that ..like some failed celebrity trying to resuscitate her career

  19. Zambians…someone can put poison in your food and you will still congratulate them, just because someone else said they did a good thing. I congratulate Sata for fooling all of us that he will deliver houses and jobs in 90 days. Well done indeed for knowing that we would all just sit and not hold you accountable to such lies, indeed you know us Zambians better than we know ourselves.

    • Mr Sansha, don’t exhibit ur shallowmindedness here. 90Dez is for putting structures and instruments for successful implementations and execution of programmes & projects. Just wait en see…!!!

    • When Zambians realize that something is not working what is their first comment “I knew it wouldn’t work out” The majority of the Zambians were busy buying cargo pants with many pockets, bigger wallets, shouting more money in our pockets when he won. They honestly believed, so to come out and say 90 days was just to put the stuff in writing he will deliver after 90 days is to say “you knew” when you just failed. Awards should be given to people who truly deserve them. His life has changed has any of our lives changes, no.

  20. Just another form of pleasing African leaders and make them feel good always something attached to such. the guy has not even been in office for that long and he gets it ahead of those that have been head of state for a considerable period kaya

  21. you people saying congratulations please educate some of us on the home front so that we can also congratulate Sata..What exactly has Sata done (with examples) that deserve this award?

    • Speaking to journalists after the ceremony, Mr Lubinda said it was gratifying to see president Sata being honoured because his contribution to national development started way back when he was a councilor.
Bwalya who do you think built the Lusaka you have come to know … fly overs ,Alick Nkhata road just a few example … i am certain you have no idea what leadership is

  22. Mushota qualifies to be the UPND representative in Scotland (if that’s where she is) as she has that party’s sad and pathetic attribute of condemning everything taking place in and about Zambia.

  23. hHhahaha, I wonder how much government paid to rig the award for Zambia. If objectivity ruled, then a better deserving leader would get it! Shame, even such organisations are corrupt

  24. Congratulations your excellency. It has been a good record of hard work from councillor to president. Ofcourse you as usual humbly received the award on behalf of the people of Zambia who have given you a chance to serve them at different levels along the years. Well done!
@ # 38 Musonda and all emissaries of the wicked one, where were you when Sata was councillor, governor of Lusaka, minister of state, minister of health, minister without portfolio and now president? Hiding under your beds, curled up in fear of public service, while Micheal Chilufya Sata unflinchingly continued curving his name in the history of this country! By the way I love the way the first lady lovingly looks at the president. She is surely there for him.

  25. Congratulations MR president. Let those who are born with hatred continues to hate and insult while us Zambians and the world at large have noted your hard working. May the Lord God bless you sir so that you even work hard for Zambia… Amen.

  26. Thought we had a day of National mourning Sunday which has been extended till friday and the man who adviced on all activities be cancelled or postpond was actually out and about! Practice what you preach……

  27. Congrats Mr. President…you chaps who are bitter about everything PF/Sata you’re just frustrating yourselves zonda uzalema!!!

  28. Why do Zambian women like fi Brazilian hair, fi fake hair, fi fake nails,fi fake eye lushes, fi fake accents; it is such a turn off and very off putting NOT attractive; they are missing out on their natural god given beauty, there are Afro organic hair products out there that make looking after natural hair a wonderful liberating chore.

    • inferiority complex is the magic word. They hate being born as negros, they worship anything that doesn’t look like them. even the bible written for them by whites says that black people are cursed so they dont like to look too black thus the skin bleaching, brazilian hair ( my dad used to call that horse hair in the 70’s) jezzebel nails

  29. I am not worried for HH will also recieve infact a much higher award when he becomes presido in 2021 after Sata. So i am not bothered at all !!!

  30. I don’t like people who praise this old man. What is your problems you people…!!! What has he done so far to recieve such recognition ?? He has not even built a single toilet… Why are you people favoring Sata? I don’t like this! And his wife has even become beautiful bcos of State house life style. Ndino kumulowa ngamule angala ba kabwa imwee…!!!

  31. Edward Hale, while chaplain of the U.S. Senate, was asked, “Do you pray for the senators?”

He quickly replied, “No. After getting to know the senators, I pray for the people.”

  32. AFter all i am the richest man in all African villages. I have the largest herds of cattle in Africa.

  33. hahaha just from read same news on ZWD…ala that site kills me! never come across such bitter negative reporting rather people…as far as they’re concerned NO reporting it as its they’ll have to find something negative “ZWD Truly PHD”

  34. No. 45, don’t compare Mama Betty to Dr Kaseba, times have changed. Do you expect her to dress like her. She is different from Mama and this is the 21st century, Mama’s time was in the 20th Century. Congratulations Mr President and your beautiful, learned Madam. Some people are having sleepless nights over this award.

    • Am 100% supporting your wisdom words my dear she is infact looking good as every woman should look according to the present generation.

  35. @69, Bitterman is under heavy sedation due to High Bitterness Pressure (HBP). I think he is still consulting Mumbi and Tekere on the next move or is it press conference. He always waits for people to settle and opens his rotten mabisi mouth to puke everything. Nothing will change HE MCS is the President and has the Award. Congrats Sir.

  36. Check the negative reporting of the Dog Watch site. They are really dying of bitterness these guys. meanwhile every well meaning Zambian is happy….kekekekeke.

    • The people behind dog watch are trying:- to destroy Zambia’s image as a peaceful country, bring tribal war to Zambia, scare investors away, report anything and everything thats bad under PF. There is nothing positive about that vile site. They will stop at nothing. They must be green with envy – Sata winning awards, $750 million Eurobonds awarded, Princess Anne in Zambia for the funeral… PF is in power and should be given a chance to prove themselves.  Trying to destroy Zambia’s image I won’t accept.

    • Can you imagine if that was the only source of information coming from Zambia. Scary isn’t it! Zambia right now needs to unite and work together. Dog watch should stop instigating problems through their malicious articles. They are dangerous.

  37. Someone is a master dribbler….this sounds like an effort by external forces to protect freedom of expression in our country.    CONGRATULATIONS YOUR EXCELLENCE

  38. Reporter:Whats your say on Michael sata`s award

HH:He can do much better.I believe a grammy award is better than what he got.

  39. whoever runs the dog watch is a very bitter and evil person. If it is true it is HH every negative story he publishes loses him votes if he does not realize. But again he is good at losing votes.

  40. How old is Kaseba????????? Looks way younger than MCS…. Shez too excited nowadays moving places all the tym (even on TV screen lyonse) wats happening kanshi kuli uyu mama?? Dress code yena tefintuuuuuuuuu….!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  41. Fortunately enough, this problematic award is likely to end in itself and in terms of value, it does not inspire any undecided investor as to whether he/she should immediately deviate his innvestments to Zambia. As anyone can detect a number of facts being brought to the world stage by so many concerned Zambians such as non-delivery of pre-election pledges, PF claims of being the initiators of the infamous Euro bond, also PF govt. interventions in projects which require expert knowledge, on the whole the PF ‘s role is lost and not clearly defined. However, PF govt. does not deserve any praise from any reputable organisation/body. The only people who can give credit to the PF are Zambians themselves not foreigners. Zambians should reject any undue praises until economic conditions improve

  42. I wonder why some people claim HH is bitter and never smiles. Looking at the pictures above it’s obvious who is bitter and never smiles. Sata is bitter for turning a joke into reality. He never dreamt people would take his comedy seriously to the point of electing him president. You can even see from the above pictures that the man is shocked at being given such an award.

  43. The beautiful Zambian iron Lady, so beautiful yes indeed…………well done your Excellence, we are proud of you your Excellence, viva PF, viva his Excellence Mr. MC Sata.

  44. So much Zambian resources are wasted on endless overseas trips which otherwise would have been spent on social services for the poorest of the poor across the breadth and lenghty of Zambia. The massive inequalities in Zambia is indeed a cause to realise that there is so much at the grass root level that all Zambians should jelously engage the PF leadership instead of taking endless overseas strips in which tax payers’ money is wasted (millions of dollars). Massive investments in mining projects do not mean improvement of social economic conditions for Zambians whether Bemba, Lozi, Chewa or Tonga but those investments are a symbol of wide spread inequalities and poverty among the majority Zambians. Viva HH, UNPD. Development, education and peace to all Zambians.

  45. Comrades stop commenting on the dress codes of the current first lady, as you can see for yourselves that is her opportunity and as usual she must look presentable. Surely, you can not expect her to wear lags or wear an artire which biases her cholonogical age. The lady is in line with her psychological age. Note that age is divided in so many stages and she does not disown her social age for example she knows that she is a mother that is why her daughter accompanied her, therefore she still maintains her role as a mother. On this one, Viva Dr Kasebo.

  46. First of All i would like to thank who so eva has given sata this award. anyone who has seen the Zeitgiest documentaries will realise that there dangling something something in Sata’s face either to screw with him or somebody else e.g Mugabe or Stop him from doing certain things that would hurt or stand in the way of progress(their interest) not the interest of this Nation. tho u cant compare the two even a bit but i would like to liken this award to the Nowegian peace prize given to Liu Xiaobo. which was a direct mockery to the chinese authoritarian governance which stands in the way of western dominance.

  47. Zambians chabe.I don`t see anything wrong with what the first lady is putting on.The ceremony was conducted in the evening and that is an evening dress.C`mon this is the 21 st century. We are not in the Victorian age for Gods sake.Lack of exposure to different things and environments surely makes my people to think in a weird and retarded way.Smh

  48. Congratulations Mr President you have indeed made Zambia proud, and keep the fire burning.
We are always on your back your Exellency….

  49. Here in this part of Africa, South Africa we appreciate beautiful women, in fact almost any African who has been to South Africa can atest my statement, a women must look beautiful at all times and we have beautiful women, no doubt about that. However, Zambian women are very beautiful too and they better than our women because if you marry a Zambian, then you are assured of a unique happy marriage until death do you apart not until divorse do you apart. Most Zambian women are very respectful and they do not answer back and challenge men. Viva Dr. Kasebo, the first lady, in fact you are representing the true African beauty.

  50. So are africans! only if it was them or someone they approve always wishing others bad,
Ask them they that can not recognise good in someones success what they have done for mother zambia notheing, not even their relative who has no cent for simple panado!
Anyway first time for me to comment here, i have read and read most the times and just laugh at most opf your comment, sadly i have to realise that the finger pointing is what you all do and racism, tribalistic towards each other nothing much, if you were any diffrent from all that you have judged, things would be diffrent. i hope we can all work together for what is best for Zambia and not pick sides the only good thing you all seem to be perfect in! A few are diffrent though, ciao.

  51. Congrats,Mr.President, and Dr.Christine. Iam proud of you.Living abroad makes me feel happy around this time of the year. God has given you this time. Rejoice and be glad. We are behind you.

  52. This is a disgrace! South-South Corporation? Who the !£&$ are they. They must be lobbying for some government contracts. Anyway this is an empty award especially as the recipient is leading a proven kleptocracy.

  53. For once kaMushota is right. The award was bought for him by some crooks in PF just to instill some false hope in Zambians who are short sighted and cant read between the lines. This crookery will one day backfire. In all fareness what is wrong with even awarding Bob Mugabe for the outstanding leadership across. I hear these are the same chaps who awarded Idi Amin for the socalled good leadership. I will never be excited over such bogus awards. We shall not differentiate between those who sponsor such awards and the receipients of such bogus awards. Note that i do not have any jealousy in me over such lousy awards. Talk of the 90 days crookery…. I end here.

  54. Congrats MCS your political career has been recongnized world wide, your wife looks great too. Mama kaseba ni mbama beautiful. Waiting to hear what hungry hyena (HH) is gona say about this award, he got his from Litunga last week.

    • ati shani iwe, eimwe abalyako amafisa kanwa. look further and see how much poverty there is in zambia and then see if any leader deserves a medal.

  55. just to point out that the award was by South South News and not South South cooperation. Daily mail reported it correctly and not LT.

    • Kukamba kamba Wina azalila. Its not rocket science to have someone honored for a good thing done. Leave it to us who have seen and lived the evidence of his achievements. Just saying……..

  56. Props due. Fly high Zed. Chins up. To each lies a choice to stay positive and team up for success or walk solo and succeed. Sour grapes can be exchanged for a better option. This is a new age of opportunity. This president should do better than the last and the next better than him. That is the basis of continual improvement. Congratulations. Enjoy your trip and may Zed prosper despite the global odds.

  57. #55 BA BWALYA, MWALICONA SANA. SATA HAS CONTRIBUTED A LOT TO ZAMBIA NOT ONLY FROM WHEN HE WAS PRESIDENT BUT AS A COUNCILLOR. I WOULD ADVISE TO VISIT ZAMBIA AND ASK PEOPLE TO POINT AT SATA’S NUMEROUS ACHIEVEMENTS.

  58. @John Banda – an item just received. Hakahivotela Heka has also be awarded as the most hate election loser by the Retoong’a

  59. So called first please dress modestly, those boobs of yours are for Ukwa in the bedroom only who are youtrying to attract?Given Lubinda am sure his heart went………………….likely he his fit and strong not some people with sick hearts!!!!!!

  60. What did he improve this award is the most laughable award ever, the man has failed lamentably in all social and economic management the country and yet these chaps give him an award ,for what? This only happens in Africa where there are not statistics.

  61. My President in Zambia. Congratulations. You are indeed an achiever. That is why Zambians love you a lot. We love you MCS President of Zambia. Just in one year, the country is getting this unique attention. Your trips outside Zambia are well calculated with evidence for what you are travelling for. Like this momentous occassion. Viva MC Sata Viva Lubinda, Viva Masebo, Viva everyone with the President in the big apple. 2016, it is still PF, Pabwato chabe ine.

  62. I can now breathe a sigh of relief because someone is finally in control of Zambia. 2016, i will repeat what i did in 2011, Pabwato chabe.

  63. you know how these greedy whites think, “give an African bling in form of an award, and you have held him by his balls to get his reosurces”… Zambia is so attractive right now because of its copper.

  64. Congrats Mr President for reinstating the abuse of office clause which will ensure government accountability. But with RDA going to state house to be overseen by George Chella among a few suspitious issues, we pray you will not be the next victim in 2016. But anyway congrats.

  65. ba mwankole bamulala kwachenema y do owez u hv evil thot wen u jst luk at woman pliz try 2 b a christian jst as we hv bin declared a christian nation, wat’s so bad abt th 1st lady’s dressg?u want 2 dress in th 70s?Pliz giv credit wer it’s due.Mumbafu

  66. Congrats Sir. Indeed Good thing come to those that wait. No matter wat they say you make us Zambians in diaspora proud among other Africans. God bless your soul

  67. I love the First Lady’s fashion sense. She needs to be on point all the time. She needs to look good for the hubby and remind all the time of the potential. All you guys talking her down are the first to look at other women instead of your wives because they are over dressed. She is very well dressed and if you are seeing breasts it is your own perverted minds!

  68. MMD Chief Bootlicker you are right. The dressing is inapropraite for an old woman. she looks in her 30s or early 40s. yes they are trying to imitate Obama’s wife but here baba you are dealing with africans who drink all sorts of concoctions and some of them cannot be denied by any woman due to what they ate. Morever you are very busy. just a warning. FTJ’s heart problem started in state house because of this kind of carelessness and the thinking that no one can touch the first

    • You men are so shallow, it was anevening gown befit for such a function. What boobs? you see amabele all the time when banamayo are breast feeding at the market, mumusembo and even your neighbours and you don’t Beetch about it. Now since its the Dr. and she is Sata’s wife, there is a problem!!!!! And what imitation of Obama’s wife. The Dr is wearing her own style, just like I would wear my own style, whats wrong with us Zambians and wanting to compare with whats in the West kanshi? Do you know how much dear Mrs. Obama pay for her gowns? They are very far from this gown, you have no idea. The problem with some of you people is you cannot give respect to women. If she was in the market breast feeding, your beaks should have been shut.

    • ubututu bwekabwekafye! what a shame, the world has moved on and so has every doctor married to a presido, i bet if you saw me you would die with ama jeje, ubukopo no bututu ukokwine!

  69. Every president is given all those honors. even Robert Mugabe if he were to step aside today, the same people who criticise him today would heap on him all sorts of honors forgetting what they said yesterday. these organisations are all like the Post newspaper.

  70. Congrats Mr President.Keep it up.God bless you for dedicating the award to all of us, Zambians.May our Lord Jesus Christ bless your wife and the entire family.

  71. First lady showing too much skin!! And that Brazilian hair, oh my, its like on a girl out of a night club in Northmead! That Brazilian hair on a black woman is pathetic. Some one needs to look at improving her public image as wife of the head of state.

  72. The Zambian first lady is not an old women and, please if you have nothing nice to contribute on this page, then keep your offensive views to yourselves. That woman is still considered a young lady in a civilised world.I am not encouraging anyone to harrass her anywhere. Even our own Nelson Mandela here married a former first lady of Mozambique, the late Mashell ‘s wife. We are all Africans and I am looking forward to marrying a Zambian women and my children are not a problem. I am educated and I have enough money. I also have experience in our women here that is why I divorced already. Viva HH

Sorry for minor erros above, I used a plural of woman which is women, the correct term is woman not women. Please bear with me, it is because us S.Africans when we prounce the above two terms both of them sound as ‘women’. Looking forward to meeting a very charming lady in Zambia in future may be in 3 years or 5 years. I am a mature educated hardworking person.

  74. My parents taught me once that, if you have nothing nice to say, please don’t open your beak. Some comments here don’t even make sense to the people who wrote them. Sometimes, it would be helpful to do more research on the topic at hand before commenting because ignorance is not an excuse, its a sign of laziness. To think that PF bribed somebody to get that prize is hilarious and low….

    Congrates ba Kateka.
