GBFC Coach Chikokola Dies

Green Buffaloes coach George Chikokola has died.

Club assistant coach Bilton Musonda confirmed the death of his boss to LT Sports on Friday afternoon.

Musonda said Chikokola died on Friday morning at Lusaka’s Maina Soko Military Hospital after a short illness.
“He passed on this morning at Maina Soko Hospital. This is a sad moment for us,” he said.

Chikokola re-joined Buffaloes late last year and helped the army side to survive relegation.

He had coached the Zambia women soccer team and Young Buffaloes of Swaziland.

  2. No way no no not Chikokola, are you sure about that? This is a sad news for us who gets joy from football compared to PF.
    And since PF came into power their hasn’t been any by-election due to a loss of their own, ba PF tabafwa.

    • Nsombo, I think you re my peer. Do you remember Chola Mulundu and Knox Chafumampunds? Abafyashi ba late Makofi?Ama Chingo na KB Davies F Clubs. Do you also remember Monday Mulenga na Diloni Bwanga? I was at Maiteneke School with the likes of Kekenenke and Sausande and the Mwanza brothers. Those were wonderful years.

  5. Though death is inevitable to all of us, it leaves devastating moments to families who lose their beloved ones. Whatever happens to us does so in accordance with God’s will. I pray that the Chikokola family derives strength from God during this time of grief. May the soul of our late coach rest in Eternal Peace, in the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
