CCZ condemns continued publication of nude photos

Share

The Council of Churches in Zambia (CCZ) has condemned the persistence of some media houses for publishing nude photos despite wide condemnation.

Speaking to ZANIS in an interview yesterday, CCZ General Secretary, Rev Suzanne Matale said CCZ is disappointed that some media houses have continued to publish nude photos with impunity in this era when the country is struggling with gender based violence.

Rev Matale stated that CCZ will continue to condemn such acts until the situation changes.

She expressed concern that exposing children to such indecent photos will promote bad behaviour as children do whatever they see.

Rev Matale said there is a danger of nudity becoming a norm if nothing is done to stop the bad morals the concerned media are promoting.

And Rev Matale has expressed concern at the lack of a proper regulatory system to monitor churches in the country.

She stated that the lack of this regulatory system is the cause of criminals posing to be pastors just to swindle people.

Rev Matale cautioned members of the public to be weary of people who call themselves pastors without any proof, as there are many false prophets who have invaded the country.

  1. Yes we condemn in the strongest words of it…..next tell Christians to brass themselves as it is just the beginning unfortunately its here to stay but we Christians enncourage all to remain steadfast.

  2. Churches lets speak to our pipo about such bad acts in church. Devote time to that and lets stop blaming the post. Mind u there are creating awareness that such is happening. Imagine a mom dressing like that from home, what a u teaching your kids? These things are real and lets learn and start sensitizing the communities. When those women are raped, who a we going to blame. Actually i applaud the Post news paper. Graham said recently in the USA how do expect our gals in heels and minns to protect themselves assuming a predator (Rapist) attacked.
Churches lets not shield sin and pretend all is well. What has happened to Tasintha

  3. i dont agree with matale on the publication of nude pictures. Matale and her kids are always glued to dstv all the time, which shows worse off nudity. Does it mean matale ‘s preoccupation of buying papers is just to look at nude pictures.matale, the world has changed from time in the 70s when you and your friends used to wear minis up to tweno, nawadays internet says it all. What they surf on the net compared to whats in the newspapers is nothing.

  4. Sue the post newspaper for corrupting the morals of innocent Zambian children. News papers are not limited publication or restricted to adults.

I remember back in the day, saturdays were mine to go pick dad’s newspaper at the local newsstand and I had the chance to browse through it before reaching home. Why should parents fear tto send children to buy a news paper? Shame on the post for their seditious materials.

  5. Advise these singers of ours to dress their dancers properly what a shame and those ladies that go to watch these shows surely should be ashamed to dress like that ifipuba

  6. matale should desists from buying newspapers that ve nude pictures. Whats her interest in nude pictures. She has been complaining about this for a long time. Does she complain the same way when in another country since she travels a lot and blue/nudity movies are sold like bread in every shop you enter.
I recall jimmy swaggat, he preached fiercely more about adultery only to discover the fellow was heavily in it. I smell a similar rat here.
