Share

Zambia’s Africa Cup debutant Mukuka Mulenga has failed to make it on FIFA’s new discoveries at the on-going 2013 Africa Cup.

The list includes two South African players despite the teams all-round modest displays on their way to reaching the quarterfinals.

Mukuka,19 of Power Dynamos who came on as a second half substitute in all three of Zambia’s Group C matches had an outstanding tournament despite Chipolopolo’s early exit.

The players on the list are all from quarterfinal teams and include Togo defender Djene Fakonam, Ghana goalkeeper Fatawu Dauda, South Africa midfielder Dean Furman and Nigerian midfielder Sunday Mba.

Others are Cape Verde midfielder Ryan Mendes, Bafana-Bafana winger Thuso Phala and Mali defender Molla Wague.

The Nigeria duo of Godfrey Oboabona and Kenneth Omeruo including Ghana midfielder Mubarak Wakaso complete the list.

  1. FIFA are just a bunch of fallible human beings with their own agendas. Forget about them and focus on the ball as it is played on the field. That is my advice.

  2. Well Mukuka shouldn’t worry. He s got the potential to become a Fredrick Kashimoto or for those who dont know local soccer a Paul Gascoigne. He is comfortable on the ball and has a Carlos Tevez spirit. Coaches need to nurture this guy. Dean Furman played only one outstanding game and he is listed making it a trash list.

  3. Mwaiche Mukuka we saw what u worth. soldier on. the sky is the limit. But what has happened to mayuka?????

Pale shadow of himself. They never clicked together with Jacob Mulenga.

  4. Yes soccer is much much, far much better than PF politics.
Imagine if PF formed a football club, what kind of players could they have, and which countries can they play against? Supporters with rocks & spears!!

  5. Mukuka Mulenga did not have enough game time to influence any of Zambia’s matches. Dean Furman on the other hand played 3 games where he was outstanding. However, Mukuka has enough opportunities with the qualifiers to show what he can do. As a Zambian based in South Africa and have never watched the boy play, and what I saw in those three matches was nothing to make the boy appear on FIFA lists. What he showed were glimpses of talent.

  6. Mukuka you ve got talent mwana,am confindent zambia wil to brazil for the world were your skill wil be noticed.we ve got world cup quali games on our soccer calender, work hard boi

  7. I wonder why i get ugly shivers each time i read Fifa or Caf, i would definately be on cloud 9 if someone changed these two organiasations to a diffrent name and ofcourse remove all the rotten heads involved, they make such a holy game dirty and unworthy! how i wish they could evaporate just like that, pyuush!

  8. This is the most important factor you want to consider. Anything that deals with one’s health has to be accurate. It’s the only way to go. You don’t want to go rushing in to the ER (Emergency room) just because your machine tells you got super high blood pressure. You don’t want that kind of problems and worries.
