Elijah Litana attends coaching course

Ex-Chipolopolo dependable defender Elijah Litana was among several upcoming coaches who attended the FAZ D license coaching course in Chingola at the weekend.

The 1994 Africa Cup of Nations silver medallist graduated along with 67 other coaches.

The three-day coaching course was held from May 24-26 at Nchanga Stadium.

Litana is the coach of Ndola rural outfit Kafulafuta Football Club.

The former Saudi Arabia based player had a stint as coach of the then FAZ Division One North side Mining Rangers between 2008 and 2010 before he mysteriously abandoned the team.

Meanwhile, recently retired Zesco United striker Enoch Sakala who is now training the club’s youth team was among the 68 coaches.

  1. I`m happy for the brother.Last time i checked he was by the road side along Kabwe road selling some animals which looked like big rats.I wish him a good coaching career. The sky is the limit.Aluta continua !!!

    • Those that you are calling big rats are what are called Kapanga in bemba and people eat them.

  2. What happened to this guy? He used to be a big show off! His wife took off as soon as the dude went broke. I hope he gets his life together.

    • Nubian Prince!Your comments are out of line.Do a research and find out how many of the USA sports personalities who used to be millionaires are still flashing millions of dollars? We all make mistakes and he has learnt his.Lets not be quick to judge. He needs our support and encouragement. How many people would like to settle in Kafulafuta? The best you can do is to send him your dollars to help him buy kt for his team.

    • Castrol Chiluba shot Litana in the leg before his football career ended!Nosta Zambian footballers have no management knowlwdge.i think faz should take up the challenge to educated them in the above mentioned discipline , so that they all do not end up like Harison WAWA chongo in Kalingalinga compound.

    • i agree with Redsquare.Your comments are out of line Nubian Princess and you are totally wrong for that.
Have you any idea what these sports stars put their wives through??Michael Jordans wife divorced him,Tiger Woods,Tony Parker and such…their wives left them..are they broke?? NO!! Like red square said do not be so quick to judge.
People make mistakes..let him live his life..wishing him well/Gods blessings,he did his part for mother Zambia!!

  3. before I can sympathise with this guy, I would first of all like to hear his side of the story on the allegations that he was paid (together with Wawa and James Phiri) to throw the match that Zambia strangely lost to Tunisia in the 1996 AFCON semi final. the more I watch the replay, the more I believe the story.

    • And also why he did not attend the burial of his ex diffence partner Wawa Chongo.

  4. Elijah Litana is a strong character. Some of u guys inclunding myself cld’ve suffered 4rm hyper tension and dropped dead a long tym ago.But look at the guy he is still going strong. He who stumbles and stay alive will live 2 fight another day.
