Progress on the K250 million, 10-kilometre township roads in Choma District of Southern Province is on track, with residents commending the government’s intervention to upgrade Choma to the provincial capital it deserves.
Tawila Capital Resources Chief Executive Officer, David Tawila, stated that the company was working in line with President Hakainde Hichilema’s vision of delivering quality road networks to ensure easy access and improved interconnectedness at all levels.

Mr Tawila emphasised that despite a little delay, the project was on course, urging road users that once the project is done the infrastructure should not be vandalised but taken care of.
He commended the government for playing its part, emphasising that his construction company will also do its best in ensuring that works are completed on time.
Project Site Engineer, Chisanga Mumba highlighted that the construction of 10-kilometre township roads to bituminous standards in Choma is currently at sixty percent and progressing well.
He said the workmanship by his team is that of good quality noting that as a local contractor it is important to ensure works done are of good quality for the people.
Members of the public are elated with the progress seen emphasising that though it has delayed to reach this far they are happy that progress now is finally showing.
James Siandinka, a member of the public commended the contractor for his good workmanship, while 52-year-old Peter Nyongola of Mapoma area thanked the government for ensuring that roads have been worked on.
