Living with fear and anxiety is no way to live. We shouldn’t be constantly afraid of what might go wrong. Or be worried about how things may turn out or break out into a sweat every time we have to do something new.
If you’re crippled with fear it’s because you’re thinking of how things won’t work out or what could go wrong. You don’t have enough information to be confident, so your mind immediately focuses on what could go wrong. No wonder you get scared.
Those who succeed and enjoy their lives control their fear, they eliminate anxiety and panic by changing their focus and by thinking of how things will or can work out. I call this,”wearing my positive glasses”.
- It always seems impossible until it is done
- Change your thoughts; start thinking about how things can work out. Push your mind to do things differently.
- If you’re overcome with anxiety it’s because you’re also focusing on what could go wrong, how you might be embarrassed, what people will think of you etc…
- As your mind goes into a negative tailspin you feel trapped, you’re worried, uncertain, then the panic takes over, the fear cripples you and the anxiety overwhelms you.
I have refused to live in fear, it’s not a way to live.
What can you do to change this pattern of thinking?
- Focus on what you want to achieve.
- Think of how you would like things to turn out when you get that thing you focus on and fill your mind with thoughts of success. Smile when you think of your idea.If you stray, if your mind goes back and gives you negative junk that leads to fear and anxiety change those thoughts again.
- One way to change from negative to positive thinking is simply by counting down slowly from 14 to 0. When you do that, stay in that calm mode for sometime before doing anything. I call it “switching off”. You switch off from your surrounds and go to that calm area of yours. Remember, before you start your count down, think of a place that brings calmness in you.
- Your subconscious mind will then pick up on these new thoughts and allow you to overcome fear, eliminate the anxiety and get rid of the panic attacks.
- Think about what you want, when you want it and when you get it how it will affect you. Let’s call it, starting from the end. Focus on your OUTCOME and be sure to get what you want.
- Forget about the HOW when you focus on your outcome.HOW should not come into your thoughts. The HOW will fall in place by itself. It’s just like when we pray to God, we never question him HOW he is going to fulfil our needs. We just ask and have faith in him and all turns out perfect, right?
You can overcome fear.
You can eliminate the anxiety.
You can enjoy greater confidence.
You can enjoy success.
Be wise in your judgments and mind your thoughts.
