Botswana name Cosafa Cup team

Botswana coach Stanley Tshosane has unveiled his squad to compete at the 2013 COSAFA Cup in Zambia that runs from July 6-20.

Tshosane has selected a 20-man youthful squad that has a blend of experience.
There are a number of players in the selection who have been involved in the recent 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Young striker Tebogo Sembowa from Gaborone United is one, along with his club mate, the experienced Moemedi Moatlhaping.

Forward Kekaetswe Moloi from Township Rollers has also got the nod in what is a squad filled with locally-based players.

Botswana has been drawn in Group B at the COSAFA Cup Zambia 2013 along with Kenya, Lesotho and Swaziland.
They open their campaign against Swaziland on July 7 in Kitwe.

Mompoloki Sephekolo, Noah Maposa, Mompati Thuma, Ndiyapo Letsholathebe, Oscar Ncenga, Edwin Olerile, Tshepo Motlhabankwe, Tebogo Sosome, Ntesang Simanyana, Jackie Mothatego, Galabgwe Moyana, Alphonse Modisaotsile, Richard Legwaila, Tebogo Sembowa, Lemponye Tshireletso, Moemedi Moatlhaping, Kekaetswe Moloi, Moshe Gaolaolwe, Gift Moyo, Gaopatwe Seosenyeng

  1. Letsholathebe is a glorious name. I hope the young man will ‘spear’ head the Tswana defence ‘shield’!

    • What a lot of graffiti on this internet. What is this news worth? Its like writing about Muchelenganga in Botswana newspaper, what will the Bushmen like Goncalves care about that?

    • My dear when you dont understand something its advisable to keep quiet. Hard luck If SeTswana sounds like Sekwerekwere to you. And as for Muchelenganga, I am afraid I dont know what the heck it means. Care to translate it for me? What language is it even?

    • Don’t insult the people Botswana .Some of us worked there for many years.Yes, they may not be perfect but they are generally very good people and have worked hard with the Government to develop their country. Those names you are insulting are not strange to some of us
