Share

Zambia thrashed FAZ Division One North side Indeni 3-0 in a Cosafa Cup warm-up match at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola on Wednesday.

The home based Zambia squad is in camp preparing for Sunday’s Cosafa Cup quarterfinal clash against Mozambique at Nkana Stadium in Kitwe.

Brian Chewe, Moses Phiri and Bruce Musakanya were on the score-sheet for Herve Renard’s side.

The squad regrouped in Lusaka last Thursday before shifting camp to the Copperbelt earlier this week.

Meanwhile, Mozambique warmed-up for Zambia with a 1-0 win over Malawi in a friendly at the weekend.

The Mambas jetted into the country on Tuesday and have set up camp in Kitwe.

  1. These games useful preparatory matches for the must-win Ghana outing, and we must take them very seriously. In particular, they should help us find ways of sealing our leaky defence. And if I had it my way, I’d be focussing more on Munyau in goal than Mweene.

  2. Why dint they warm up with a game against a faz mtn super league team such as Nkana or Zesco not division one…..balitina ‘sate-sate’ kampamba?

  3. Training with Indeni FC is no different from playing Kazungula Tigers who don’t even have boots. Don’t these guys have better teams to train with??

  4. They can’t play KALAMPA, they know what happened last time when the two met. ZAMBIA managed to score a penalty

  5. @ Wanu Ngwe I dont agree with you that these games are useful preparatory matches for the must-win Ghana outing, this is because the team in camp is totally a different team for the which will play Ghana. The team playing cosafa is Zambia B, so the cosafa matches have no effect on the Ghana game. I agree with you on Munyau in goal than Mweene.

  6. Mweene is far better than Munyau guys but the complecency part should seriously be addressed by goal keeper coach Davies Phiri. I think the guy talks too much forgetting his own job thereby conceading silly goals!! But Definitely Mweene is Zambia One> As for COSAFA I just hope it opens an exit door for HERVE
