The Patriotic Front (PF)’s losing candidate Lameck Mangani has congratulated MMD and Reuben Mtolo Phiri for winning the parliamentary by-election.

Mr Mangani said the Chipata Central seat was highly contested saying the just-ended parliamentary should facilitate the new things for the betterment of Chipata Central.

“First of all, I would like to congratulate the Movement for Multi-party Democracy(MMD) for scooping the seat as well as the winner Mr Reuben Mtolo Phiri. This was highly contested elections,” he said.

Mr Mangani said the people had to be respected for their choice in the just-ended by –election.

But Eastern Province Malozo Sichone said opposition political parties peddled a lot of lies during the campaigns.

Mr Sichone who was part of PF campaign team said PF needed to reorganize itself.

However, Ms Nkunika (independent candidate) and Mr Daka promised to stand in 2016 general elections. Mr Daka however accused the media of giving a low coverage to him during the campaigns.

“You media are to be blame for my loss you gave a lot of attention to Mtolo and Mangani whilst some of us we, were not fully covered during the campaign period,” he said.

Meanwhile Ms Nyirenda congratulated the MMD for scooping the parliamentary polls and wished him good luck during his service to the people.

Chipata District Electoral Officer Ekan Chingangu described the elections as being peaceful despite the low turn-out.
Chipata Central which is divided into four wards has a total of 49,743 eligible voters.

  1. The tied has turned. Too much BUFI from PF. We demand seriousness please, can we have a concrete direction with regards policies.

From today, no more swearing in’s, no more Districts creation, in fact we need you to drop all the deputy ministers and remove excess Permanent Secretaries.

    • This Mangani should get back to MMD. Him and Sata are not clicking. He has led Sata in a dark ditch of politics, by letting him insult single-mothers and children who never knew their fathers or mothers.

  2. Humble pie, mwana akalilila tea mupaseni azionele! Envy, jealous and bitterness, lol. By the way Mangani, have you officially joined the PF?

  3. I don’t think Mangani has a choice but to do and say just that. He was beaten clean despite the state resourses, including Sata n Guy Scott at his desposal. Challenging the result is not an option now because he did with the help of Chibesakunda and that has failed. Sichone, like his Injustice Minister, just has to blame someone! He thinks exposing PF lies is lying to the electorate, just has Winter thinks following the Law is favouring the opposition. Somehow, I see PF “hardening” its ill leadership style than chinging for the better but certainly, they’ll think twice about by elections

    • The ECZ should be commended for standing up for law and order unlike the Zambia Police who have become to all intents and purposes a wing of the PF. This is the reason the chief PF cadre Mr Kabimba cannot believe that the ECZ can criticize the so-called ruling party for breaking the law. Had it been the Police they would have turned a blind eye to lawlessness. The ECZ is professionally managed, its leader will stand up to a bully like Mr Kabimba. I hope one day she will be appointed Chief Justice to bring sanity to the judiciary.

  4. that’s democracy Mr Mangani differing in opinion yet tolerating and accepting those with other ideas, hope the top leadership can go Rupia way and openly do like wise.

  5. That’s the decent and civilized thing to do. Whenever UPND, the tribal and functionally regional party loses , they will quickly blame Chief Justice Lombe Chibesakunda for causing the by election.

    • Your thoughts are misplaced. We blame the PF for causing these unneccessary by-elections supported by the ACJ. Our celebrations with this outcome is not for UPND but for Zambia’s sanity which is greater than any political party. Whether MMD, UPND or any opposition party wins an election, we shall be joyous…and when PF win, we shall cry for our beloved country. Not because we hate them but because they are failure who are taking us nowhere apart from the Zimbabwe route.

    • @ 2201,
Unless you deliberately choose to ignore this cardinal fact, you will do well to note that UPND now has parliamentary representation in Southern, Western, North-Western and Copperbelt Provinces, based on truth. These are diverse regions of Zambia. If you care to, think about why the Bemba speaking regions of Zambia, i.e., Northern, Luapula, Copperbelt, Lusaka and Central are dominated by PF. Could it be tribal inclination? Food for thought!

  6. Wake call, other parties must take advantage. Shame to Mpezeni, for involving himself in politics. Viva Jumbe!

  7. Mangani’s loss is a Big Fat Slap right in the face of Sata and his stooge Mpezeni, delivered by the wise people from the East. The wise people of the East have shown us that they don’t come cheap, unlike Mpongwe, Kapiri, Livingstone, Mkushi, Mufumbwe, Feira, etc. And according to Kabimba, Mangani was never a PF member. So hearty congrats to Kabimba and team for decampaigning Mangani by providing PF Regalia to MMD voters disguised as PF voters. Congratulations to Democracy for ensuring that LIES and BUFI were shown the EXIT door in Chipata, Kafulafuta and Solwezi East. Viva all lovers of Democracy!

  8. 2016! VIVA HH! Ndine waku East, but 2016 yeve ni HH!!!!

Takana BUFI! Takana No Policy Direction!
Takana 2 Deputy Ministers per Ministry!
    Takana illegal Chief Justice
    Takana Subsidy Removal!
    Takana Daily Swearing-In ceremonies!
Takana presido with no Press Conference to give Policy Direction!
    etc

    2016 !!! HH !!! Viva HH!!!

  9. Mangani is surely regretting leaving the MMD for PF just like Pro Chirwa is cursing himself for being lured by the PF. People out there should learn from this.

  10. The PF should change course. Zambians don’t like dictatorship which president Sata has been trying to reintroduce . This will tone down Winter Kabimba and start listening to what voters are saying.

  11. “Mr Sata, imwe a Jumbe how can you say Sata did very bad to allow mpenzeni to campaign for PF.I know what you say in your bed room 24 hours, you can’t even take care of your bald head”.
The people of eastern province head that their chief is been insulted, and there decided to disappoint sata and voted for mtolo, sorry a mangani.

  12. Kabimba red lips well done for decampaigning Mangani walasa.Wise men came from the East.
    Mangani once beaten twice shy

  13. Centre Back, UPND also has a seats in Central province and if another bye-election was needed in Central today, the MPs would opt to stand on UPND ticket. Watch the space.

  14. The mistake Mr Mangani made made was to differ with RB,you should have swallowed your pride and remained royal to RB ,continue surviving on his name .In politics it’s all about correct timing and on this one you had wrong.Mr Mangani you are too smart for Paya Farmer(PF), that much you know. The earlier you get out the better for your small reputation which still remains in you.People like Kabimba won’t let you mingle with them freely .they do not rust you. This is my piece of advice given to you freely take or leave it nizanu baba.

  15. These guys say that they are making roads, schools, hospitals, clinics, but we aren’t seeing any, no wonder the rejection, watch out for 2016!

  16. Imwe ba political prostitutes bonse like Mangani will never be voted for, politicians who have no backbone, kufwaya fye ukulya bangwele
