Indeni topple Assembly in Div One North

Indeni have supplanted National Assembly from the top of the FAZ Division North table after thrashing Bresmer United 3-0 in Solwezi on Wednesday.

Indeni enjoy a better goal difference over Assembly although the two teams are tied on 43 points after Week 20 matches played on Wednesday.

Ken Zulu, Misheck Phiri and Isaac Namakuba were on the score sheet as the Oil Men thumped Bresmer.

This win came three days after Indeni routed Grinaker 5-1 away in Chililabombwe.

Meanwhile, Assembly were held to a 1-1 draw by Premium Sport in Lusaka.

Elsewhere, Mufulira Wanderers recorded their second straight win in three days after beating Chindwin Sentries 1-0 away in Kabwe thanks to a lone goal by Taonga Bwembya.

Wanderers beat Mumbwa Medics 1-0 on Sunday to recover from a 4-0 loss suffered at the hands of Assembly away in Lusaka on 18 August.
