Patriotic Front (PF) national chairperson Inonge Wina has called for a stop to what she termed as unnecessary wrangles in the party ranks.
She said yesterday in an interview that the party would soon convene a central committee meeting to look into wrangles surrounding the presidential endorsement for 2016 that had recently rocked the party.
Some PF cadres and senior party officials have been embroiled in wrangles over the presidential endorsement sparking violent debates which seemingly were causing divisions between the pro and against camps.
On Saturday, party youths fought each other in Northmead Township in Lusaka leaving property at the school damaged and several people injured as they accused each other of bringing confusion in the party.
The faction that was for the endorsement went ahead to present a petition to Lusaka deputy mayor Mulenga Sata on concerns on organisation and mobilisation of the party which they asked him to
deliver on their behalf to President Michael Sata.
Ms Wina described the infighting as indiscipline saying the party was capable of solving its problems internally.
She said the party would soon convene a central committee meeting to discuss the issue and find a lasting solution to the wrangles.
She called for the immediate stop of the wrangles saying they were denting the image of party.
She said she did not expect the differences that were currently going on to be ignited to the public because this was something which the party could amicably resolve internally.
“If there is any difference in the party, we are able to amicably resolve it within the part circles because it is a family matter,” Ms
Wina said.
Meanwhile several PF members on the Copperbelt province have condemned the clashing of party cadres in Lusaka over the weekend.
Former Copperbelt Patriotic Front (PF) youth secretary Chanda Kabwe advised youths against being used as tools of violence by some selfish politicians.
Michael Chewe, a Kitwe-based PF member said the endorsement of Mr Sata for the 2016 elections should be supported. Mr Chewe said Mr Sata was a hard worker and a leader with exceptional abilities.
He said from the time Mr Sata assumed office, Zambia had recorded a number of successes in several developmental projects such as the creation of countywide road links among others.
And several Patriotic Front (PF) youths in Southern province have joined other provinces in endorsing President Michael Sata as the sole presidential candidate for 2016.
About 70 youths from Mosi-oa-tunya and Zambezi Wards in Livingstone led by PF Southern Province vice information and publicity secretary Brighton Luhyila yesterday staged a solidarity march in support of the endorsement of President Sata.
Speaking in an interview after the march, Mr Luhyila said the Constitution of Zambia and that of the ruling party gave Mr Sata two terms of office, hence he should be the sole ruling party candidate in 2016.
He said most party members were currently calling for a mass solidarity march in support of Mr Sata for 2016.
He said those who had been given the mandate to serve in Government should have respect for the appointing authority
“We are calling for unreserved total support to the Head of State. Those who fall short of that should form their own parties. We are saying in PF there is no room for selfishness, nepotism, favouritism and tribalism,” he said.
He said most party officials who were claiming popularity, were riding on President Sata’s popularity.
He said Zambians were not interested in underhand processes which were being championed by a handful of PF members.
Mr Luhyila, who was flanked by a PF official Chola Kapwepwe and several other youths, however, declined to mention the names of people who were planning to challenge President Sata in 2016.
the best is to discard Winter Kabimba!
now it has to take the national chairperson (an outsider from UPND) to act.. all those claiming to pure PF are all afraid of something or some one with dark clothes waiting to collect souls..
Sata must have sold his soul to Fred mmembe and KK to become president
What’s ‘his’ name again?
in that picture?
Thanks
The wrangles in PF show clearly what ZDW has consistently said about who runs the PF. PF and Sata are controlled by a cartel of the quartet; Mmembe, Nchito, Kabimba and Matibini.
If Sata was really in control , knowing him, he would have acted swiftly. Unless he is deliberately quiet as a ploy to endorse his son Mulenga Sata to take over with the help of Panji .
In the coming days it will become clear that Sata wants his son to take over as President in the event that he is to ill stand as President. If Sata ‘s illness was not critical these wrangles about succession would be non existent.
I did predict what is happening in PF way back in 2012 on Mr president forum when I said by September an implosion with in PF will ensue. There is still more to come. It has not come to…
Mushota, by the way what is your mother’s name, is he Mr Mushota?
continued.
Folks, that is not to say I am a Prophet from what I have said and predicted, far from it. Any one with an analytical mind can critically analyse issues and piece together a prediction just like the weather man or an economist. In my predictions about Sata and the PF I normally factor in Sata ‘s flip flops, arrogance, uneducated mind, thugish behavour, lies, and above all the pact he signed with Mmembe to propel him into plot one.(Fact mentioned by GBM in his rants).
I will be shocked if GBM is not sacked then caged for awarding himself contracts to supply the armed forces with uniforms , food and equipment and bullying Zesco to award him a contract to supply poles.
AS for Kabimba, he is a ticking time bomb for Sata he knows too much about Sata’s shady dealings…
continued.
If in doubt about the cartel that controls Sata and PF, just look at how the four have positioned them selves to run crucial government institutions. Kabimba – Justice, Nchito – justice(DPP), Matabini – Parliament(laws are decided and amended), and then Mmembe the chief propagandist- owns and controls what the post writes. The deadly four can bring down Sata in a flash if he does not toll the line in their favour.
Until next time enjoy the drama!
The simple reason there are all enganging their energies in this war is to secure their own future, mind you they all have someone they know will guarantee them a profitable life after enjoying this term, it’s time to lay the foundation for the next, some are hoping it will still be HMSCs while others have someone else in mind, thus this all premature noise making is nothing but Maffias turning against each other for profits!
@Wanzelu, your 4 musketeers can’t do nothing in flush to Sata, can’t never. It now new arrangements, no one gets to Sata before pushing away solid GBM. Bring your lawyers, he will bring his money !!
But Ba Inonge is beautiful, imagine how she looked at 36yrs. I am not sure if Charlotte Scott will again tell me to respect women, yes I do very much respect women.
And she has no single grey/white hair at that age.
Mushota you have a foul mouth, all because you pretend to be female when you are actually a homo. Are there no elderly people where you hail from? Instead of commenting on the story you decide to pick on Mrs Inonge Wina for abuse?
@ Nostradamus
Your wishful thinking can not work because Mmembe has his boy Chella looking out for him and the cartel. Mmembe and the cartel’s requests reach Sata faster than GBM ‘s because they have an insider at state house.
Let the divisive party implode and burn and cease to exist just like the hindenburg airship.
Yawn! boring!
You see! The attention is now on wringles in PF on the expense of development! Is it that some officials championing the endorsement of Sata have financial muscle that is why they are being tolarated? I am worried with the President silence on this matter. Is he enjoying the blood shade we so on Muvitv since ZNBC can’t show such during the fracas btwn PF caders? I know he is a staunch Catholic so he is NOT! Now please Mr. Sata speak out and stop the rubbish going on in PF!
Sata is afraid of someone or something, his boss maybe! knowing, Sata he would have acted by now, this is very strange.
There must be someone else ruling this country not Micheal Sata
@Ndobo , I compare this PF to my childhood, when we were fighting as boys (brothers & cousins), we used to be more than 8 at a time, especially holidays. My father would say to mother “leave them fight”, but Grandma and Mother could still not sit and watch.
Bana Wina, has done a great job, abit too late, she is the only one who can diffuse or send Kabimba away as ambassador to Sudan.
I don’t believe in anyone controlling Sata, except Guy Scott & Chenda.
Dr Myles Munroe said politicians look forward to the next election, they are concerned about maintaining power, having houses and manipulating people, but leaders are visionary and look towards the next generation, empower people…! Food for thought.
It is very clear now what the arrangement Sata had with people like mmemba. Sata as per arrangement is not suppose to stand, to do so he would be abrogating this arrangement. GBM now is being used to further Sata unsatifiable hunger for power.
your point makes alot of sense.. there is no way loud mouthed Sata can keep quite on issues which directing affects him.. NO WAY!
ndobo
you are right this not the outspoken Sata we know, something is fishy…….
meeting to be held At northmead basic school.
How can you endorse a dead man for 2016 who spend 90% of his time in bed. This country is indeed a joke
you are a dead person yourself. God will deal with you for your reckless brain
Edga Lungu nearly de registered mmd on account of party internal fight. Why cant that apply to PF. Why should pf think they own zambia and yet they came to power using lies. In short they came to power imorally.
ITS NOW SATA FOR 2016!!!! AFTER 2016 IT WILL BE CALLS FOR A THIRD TERM!!!!
POWER NIYO ZUNA KUCHILA NINI GUYZ
Understood!Hon Inonge a senior party oficial has finaly the way forward.Mama make sure al is setled.Mwa mukolo.Viva development!
@sweetcharles…. unsatifable is not an english word. I think you mean insatiable – just my 2 pence and no big deal.
They are at daggers drawn. They are an experiment created in a Bwinjimfumu laboratory gone bezerk.
‘Professor’ Fred ‘Einstein’ Mmembe is hissing like a snake and wringing his hands and asking his Laboratory assistants, “Where did we go wrong?”
Assistant: “We went wrong when we borrowed K16billion from DBZ”.

Enjoy your experiment ba PF.
inonge just eat and count your days, there is nothing that you pf government has done to improve standard of living, you are such a disgrace.
@mushota…. what are you implying? Let her age gracefully! This woman and her family have shaped the political landscape of Zambia for worse for better I don’t know! Beauty is skin deep and we don’t advocate going under the razor in our africanness. Whilst you are at it, can you post your Facebook name so that we can judge you too rather than hiding under that chirpy image you portray. We’ll then give you our unreserved verdict of what you really look like. You could be a manimal – not in your everyday dictionary!
@Wanzelu – after the past weekends shenanigans , I too am led to believe that Sata wants his son to take over after or from him.
I am not quite sure though what assistance Panji could be as he appears rather slow and dull. He is not the sharpest tool in the Tool box.
@Cindy
Panji to the be the Vice stooge who can never challenge Mulenga Sata no matter what. It is a well calculated move.
The biggest mistake Sata made was to keep Chellar close to him.I hope this will end well.
Dr.Jeckyl and Mr. Hyde
Created a monster now hiding at plot numero uno!
Hihihihihi.. nice one, the drama is now causing us to blog in the languages we understand best just to emphasise how critical the situation is… i believe that evrything that goes up must come down, PF is really in it’s conclusion state anytime from now we shall see the END.
Hichidisabled pipo re dificulty to understand. So highly incorigible such tht they argue anythng.Biternes to accept anythng only wnting to be there! Its not easy chaps!U cant use force on pipo no mater wht.Things hapen thru pipo objective opinion not jerking the mases for recognition!Viva Pf.Ironout difrences internaly & never loose track on development agenda!Implement policies & development thru & thru. Its only 2 yrs now bt work as if u tookover yestrday!
@ Dada wake up and take the last kicks of a dying horse serious. PF is dying slowly and GBM will very soon jump camp to form his own party or join one of the many.
For the sake of national development , anybody creating confusion in PF shall be removed from the party and its government.
I totally find it strange for pf to start talking about 2016 when they have not yet clocked half of the term. Is there something that the insider know that we don’t know??
Please pf spare us the nonsense of disturbing of peace by putting your house in order.
@Yondo sister
The PF know their man wont make it to 2016. He very ill. All these wrangles confirms this fact.
@Wanzelu, the stratagem you mention is plausible. However, i do not see real PF members allowing that to happen. Panji is a shameless opportunist and everyone knows that more especially those who were in PF from the onset.
Something fishy with Micahel Sata.
Why so much silence? Let us wait and see.
That could be the reason Given Lubinda has been saying waite and see the real problems. He also says he will be exonerated at some point. These could be the problems now.
The Lubinda has constantly refused to answer the questions from the Post. The only answer he has given is that they should wait and see. Very intelligent
