Zambeef Products PLC has given the Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation (ZNBC) K70,000 to enable the corporation to broadcast live the crucial World cup qualifier match between Zambia and Ghana tomorrow evening.

Zambeef handed over the funds to ZNBC yesterday, Wednesday September 4, 2013 in an exclusive deal that will also ensure that millions of radio listeners throughout the country listen to live commentaries of the match on the radio on Friday September 6, 2013.

Zambeef Group Head of Marketing Perry Siame said the radio platform reaches the most remote parts of Zambia and will give ordinary Zambians who do not have television sets an opportunity to catch live commentary on critical national team matches.

Siame said as per tradition, Zambeef will continue to take the lead on these soccer radio commentary sponsorships.
He said this year alone, the meat company has sponsored a number of live matches including all the Zambian matches that were played during the COSAFA cup.

Siame said in a statement released to ZANIS in Lusaka today that Zambeef sees its support for match broadcasts over the years as a means of giving back to the country and the customers who have helped build the company over the last 18 years.

And ZNBC Sales Director Peter Shula thanked Zambeef for once again coming on board to assist the corporation acquire broadcast rights to televise the game live from Ghana.

Shula noted that Zambeef has a track record of supporting the company’s soccer broadcasts, and that as a corporation, ZNBC was delighted to welcome Zambeef onside again for the important match.

He said the company exemplifies the spirit of teamwork that is necessary to beam international games to households countrywide.

  1. Well done ZAMBEEF! Now don’t smear us butter on our minds and heart to forget ur meat with Aldehydes chemicals you have fed us on. Repacations are yet to come. It is like Hiroshima and Nakasaki. How far has that case gone? It’s quiet why?

  2. This is difficult for me to understand. So if Zambeet had not stepped up, we were not going to watch the game?

Zambia has a high commission in Ghana which has broadband internet … get an employee from the high commission, give him a camera, hook up his feed to the high commission, VPN to Zambia and there!! You have the game in Zambia at a fraction of the cost.

Or they could just accept that ZNBC is a flop and we’ll all just watch SuperSport!!

    • Expect GRZ to payout millions of dollars as Live online streaming is ILLEGAL…though I will also be watching it on line!

  3. How do we expect to develop when you always relying on handouts, from a purely business point of view are you honestly telling me ZNBC can’t find sponsors for that slot.
After this gesture the natives will surely forget about the punitive actions they are supposed to take against ZAMBEEF!

  4. Is this not money from poisonous meat? Accept it, and the next thing, you have your minds embalmed as well. I hope it is not a bad omen.

  5. why spend all tht money on a losing game when those funds can be used on painting buildings in town…nonsense

  6. A big thank you to ZAmbeef for making it possible for Zambians to watch their much loved team play in the crucial match tomorrow.
However it is sad that the ZNBC with their perpetual begging bowl continue to let down the people who pay huge sums in licence fees yet it is a fact that if for example the PF orders them to release K70,000 for party use they would quickly fork it out. Surely the ZNBC has become irrelevant and detached from the people and should be scrapped.

    • Given that our fufu eating brothers and sisters are many in diaspora and have a more influence voice, it should be. Check wiziwig.tv and footballstreaming.info websites for schedules tomorrow.

    • @Ba Cindy
Are you a newbie to the site (12 months old)? I’m very much a Zambian and very passionate about our game but I can’t stand the sheer shambolic incompetence and corruption at Football House…we deserve better as a football loving nation but it seems some self serving characters are taking advantage of this.

    • @ Jay jay,
Yes am new less than a year to be specific, that explains it… i now get you, i can understand i have learnt to numb myself though it takes hard work, i hope we can just be spotless in the fotball arena.

    • Trying to be the good Christian nation that we are and taking into consideration how Zambia has been so much of a thorn in the flesh to Ghana soccer pride! I think Ghana deserves to be spared embarrassment when playing before their fans in Kumasi. So no need to apologize for your predicted score line.

    • #The Bricklayer, it is football here. Zambia will win it, even if Ghana uses a brick-ball and applies a bricklaying strategy.

  7. And how much did ka fred meembe and the PFost Newspaper donate? Zero. Muletashako bafikala. Big up to ZAMBEEF. Local Nyama all the way.

    • So its all good with you and Zambeef even though they were feeding your kids contaminated crap imported from Britain? Only in Africa in the US they would have handed the gov’t a blank cheque…smdh!!
