Share

Ex-Nkana coach Linos Makwaza has been linked with the vacant top coaching job at FAZ Super Division side Roan United.

Makwaza has been clubless since ditching Konkola Mine Police in April after falling out with the club’s executive.

Mine Police hired Makwaza last January followiing his exit at Nkana late in 2012.

Sources at Roan say the Luanshya side is courting the Power Dynamos legend.

“Roan are interested in Linos Makwaza,” sources said.

Caretaker and long serving assistant coach Kaunda Simonda is currently incharge of Roan.

The role of head coach at Roan has remaind vacant after the departure of Bruce Mwape who joined Mine Police in August.

  1. Roan must dissolve its current executive who have no new plans for the club, otherwise the poor performance will still continue.

  2. Roan United has been a good football team of all times, the only challenge is the admnistrators who have up to this time mismanaged the clubs resources and more so disgruntled politicians who have failed the country wants to be club managers or something, so dissolution of the cureent corrupt and illiterate executive is a must, an d finally its high time simonda was promoted as head coach he knows the team better than failures who get fired as coaches werever they go. Stylish for life.

  3. As I know, Roan have been doing well and can certainly do better with improved motivation.
Surely why not consider Makasa and Simonda for this position? Is it a question of lack of papers in which case why have they been allowed to sit on the bench all this time?
Are we saying they are not up to the task?
