Sata with Chinsali Pupils

President Michael Sata this morning met pupils from Chinsali Day Secondary School. This is according to a press statement released to the media by State House.

During the meeting, the pupils who were accompanied by Chinsali PF Member of Parliament Hon. Mulenga Chiponde and District Commissioner Evelyn Kangwa, expressed gratitude to the Head of State for hosting them at State House.

“…your doors have been open to everyone since you came into office, especially the ordinary citizens. We have watched you share moments with freedom fighters, chiefs and other traditional leaders, vulnerable children and sports personalities to name a few,” said Catherine Kaundula, the pupils representative.

“We see true leadership in this and commend you to continue, as doing so keeps you in touch with the realities about your people. We acknowledge the massive construction going on in the country such as universities, roads, hospitals, stadia and houses. We hear that this is how it was during Dr Kaunda’s time. Keep up with the same spirit and thank you for making our grandpa KK a happy person.

“We call upon all the Cabinet and deputy ministers, senior civil servants and their juniors and every man and woman in decision making to share in your vision and passion for a better Zambia for all. A Zambia free of corruption, favouritism and other negative vices. We plead with those you have entrusted to help you run this country to avoid the attitude of ukulilapo [greediness].”

In response, President Sata reaffirmed Government’s commitment to improving infrastructure in the education and other sectors such as roads in line with the Patriotic Front (PF) manifesto.

The President encouraged the pupils to work extremely hard in school as their future depends on learning.

“The knowledge you are acquiring is what will drive you into a prosperous future. And as Government our vision is to have a nation full of vibrant and educated people,” he said.

  1. Oh dear, good thing they are Bembas but utter contempt in my thinking of such an ill advised move

    I reluctantly endorse this

    Thanks

    • Prof Mvunga has been set up by Mtembo Nchito and is accused of motor vehicle theft to prevent him from representing RB.

I can predict Sata and his cohort ‘s ending will be a very painful one indeed.

    • See!! I mentioned it yesterday! Whilst almost all Heads of States in the region and the rest of the world attended the World’s most voted funeral of the century- including arch rivals Obama and Castro embracing each other (Unity), someone just decided to stay and watch back all proceedings and inside his sorrow-melting heart regretting to have attended.

All radio stations instructed to play solemn music whilst entertaining children.

    • @soulosi
iwe soulosi,,, where are you seated?, i have been looking for you guys, i also cant see Nostradamus with his USA group, i hear he seated next to Bill clinton to avoid Obama attention,,, me am this side `boving` with Uncle Bob Mugabe

    • Why didnt you go yourself if it so important to your family.7days of national morning is enough.Besides Newsmen will focus there camera’s on obama.Tell HH to attend if you think the media will recognise him or pay attention to him.You are people who think attending funerals is important and yet what you do is evil.show your faces and you think is enough.

  2. That is the trouble of easting Nshima, which I have never liked and most of times throw up when I do.It is too heavy

If those pupils ate Rice, Macaroni they would look younger.

LT is it Students, Pupils. The difference is not the same

    Thanks

    • Ha ha ha.Are you for real or just trying to sound sarcastic ? If your intention is the later then you have done a good job of it.

    • “The difference is not the same….” Really @Mushota?

      Can you tell me what you mean by this double negatives sort of writing? Come on now Ms. PhD Candidate. Take your pick, it is either;
      1) They are not the same.
      2) They are different.
      3) The two are different.
      4) There is a difference between the two.

You woman are really something! You insult these ‘poor’ children who have done nothing to you other than being Zambian and proud BEMBAS (that is if they are all even Bembas because NOT everyone who lives in Chinsali is Bemba.) Yet your English Madam is so “BEMBASH” yourself!

Stop thinking in Ichibemba when writing in English. The two do not usually directly translate correctly—and you should know this as an “educated” Scottish/English ‘wannabe’.

      Just…

  3. Well spoken Students, I like this.”We see true leadership in this and commend you to continue, as doing so keeps you in touch with the realities about your people”

  4. Am imbalanced to be Zambian.. i expected my president to be in SA for the most respectable man in Africa’s funeral..Is he scared of baldheaded men there? so Nchisali girls paraded mean more than Mandela? SHAME BA MUDALA NAIMWE

  6. You people you always find a fault in the president. The president was there and he was recognized the only thing he is to avoid seen Zuma with his bold head. Under five HH must something from this.

    • Zambians were warned by a Nigerian Prophet to vote prayerfuly and wisely in 2011. “I saw in a vision a spirit released from a pit (by an Individual I could not recognise) that had a commission to distort and destroy the foundations of all that is good and perfect in Zambia and to sell the soul of the nation to the devil by drawing a new calendar and programme for Zambia that was antichrist. It would also cause confusion in the Church and stop Christians from fulfilling their destiny. This spirit is being birthed from the place of politics to control power”. “For the spirit went about deceiving and sowing strife and mobilising an army against the will of God for the land and the destiny of the nation and many were deceived until a cry rose to heaven from the Church,

  8. Mandela would have loved to see our beloved President give hope to the children as he did.lf u really appreciate Madiba u wouldn’t even insult ,slander, lie and character assasnet. U and yo leaders are the opposed of what he stood for.lfinkula !

  9. .Sata is unstopperble nd will remain wat God says he is.Not wat u demons say. These pipo’s consciences re dead.Make peace th everybody otherwise yo Hh’ll kiss dust.

  10. The South Africans have taught us something today ( BOO MESSED UP LEADERS)
Ku wela fye Mudala– WOO WOO WOO says alot.
Today I didnt have to be Zambian to connect with the world in sending off one off the greatest sons of the world.
All our man had to do was just go and represent us. Just stand there and smile was too hard.

  11. He is declaring a pointless 7 day national mourning yet he is shying away from the selfsame funeral…clearly this man has no ear for his advisers. Do these dump politicians know how declaring national mourning affects productivity??

  12. fwe ba bemba tutila”uwafwa talolesha pamulopa wakwe.” Mandela will nt come back to life and the living should continue doing their daily bussiness. while others appreciate what they have never seen abapuba bena kulasushafye lyonse, you were born critisizing grown criticising mwasuka mwakota. Let the big man do his job going to the funeral is nt saving zambia any ngwee.

  13. but sata u ar nt normal in african culture yo nemba hvn a funeral nt atendn it iz taboo kwena..bt busy atendn to nursery pupils.

  14. How many Heads of State who are in Johannesburg have declared state funerals in their countries. Some of them even called Mandela a Terrorist. What Hypocrisy!!

  15. THE SAME TIME ALL PRESIDENTS EVEN WOMAN WERE BEASY AT FNB STADIUM SATA WAS ALSO HOLDING HIS CHIN WATCHING SKIRTS OF CHILDREN WHAT A WASTED VOTE

  16. Sata has just shown what he fears most. If he has evaded the Local Press which he largely controls for plus two years how would he face international media at Madiba’s funeral? Easy mind just told him to call local pupils and appear to be busy. Numbered days…shame.

  17. Was it necessary to apply that famous bemba powder on the presidents face, it makes him look like a ghost in the photo above.

  18. A Zambia free of corruption, favouritism and other negative vices.

Can this govt say it stands for the principles and values reflected above? No is the answer, we have opposition oppressed to a point they cannot hold rallies or public meetings, we have only certain names fits for political appointments and corruption is alive as per the Auditor’s General Report.

  19. Tribalism is eating our president at a fast pace; would you imagine our president staying from a world funeral happening in a regional locality where Zambia is a member just because he want to recive Chinsali girls at state house? Shame. Its one funeral one would han for such a reason of tribalism. Yes some bembas like our president and his minions think triblism is going to keep them in power forever, no they laying; anything that is un just will not last long but will fall soon.
