The Zambia Union of Nurses Organization has re-futed reports that government has reinstated some Nurses who were recently dismissed for going on strikes.

ZUNO President Thom Yung’ana has told Qfm News in an interview that government has only reinstated Nurses who were wrongly dismissed.

Mr. Yung’ana explains that those who were wrongly dismissed are those who were either on maternity leave or night-off and ended up being given dismissal letters wrongly.

He says the Union is waiting upon government to forgive those who were charged and found wanting but have apologized to the Head of State as the apologies were extended to their respective Unions.

Mr. Yung’ana has since expressed optimism that Republican President Michael Sata will exercise leniency on the dismissed Nurses.

Meanwhile, Mr. Yung%u2019ana has expressed disappointment with the continued dismissal of Nurses who went on strike.

He says it is a sad development especially that the country has critical shortage of Nurses.

The ZUNO president says they are hopeful as a Union that the Head of State will consider the apologies tendered by the Nurses to allow the Health care system returns back to normal.

  1. We accept that the nurses were f.o.o.l.ish to believe any thing PF and Sata VSTC tells them. However the government should re-instate these nurses immediately to avoid unnecessary deaths as a result of their deceptive politics.

Going forward all Zambians should open their eyes and listen carefully before falling for any lie from these f.o.o.l s led by a former victoria station toilet cleaner SATA the VSTC.

Next time vote wisely. Although your ability to vote next time will depend on whether Sata VSTC does not concoct a constitution ban elections or systematically ban all those have never held an elected seat before. The latter is more likely to happen to ban HH and Chipimo.

If the constitution is not published by end of January , embark on massive protests to demand for it.

  6. Our nurses are really cowards!
What has happened to your friends will happen to you all because you have allowed yourselves to be bullied into submission!
Your chi ZUNO should be dissolved as it has failed to represent you effectively, leaving you with no choice but to go on an illegal strike!
While your demands are genuine, you did not follow the right procedure and therefore made yourselves vulnerable to attack.
