Former Health Minister Kapembwa Simbao, has projected that the failure by the Patriotic Front (PF) government to run the health sector properly will cost it in 2016 general elections.

Mr. Simbao who was Cabinet Minister under the Movement for Multiparty Democracy (MMD) government says it is also annoying that the PF administration is treating nurses like garbage and forgetting that it was put into the office to improve the living standards of the people.

Mr. Simbao who is also MMD National Secretary adds that the PF has allegedly forgotten so fast that it was put into the office to save the people and not to subject them to suffering as is the case with the fired nurses.

Mr. Simbao has recalled that a situation where the wishes of the nurses in public health institution are not being respected was not happening in the MMD government because it respected the rights of the nurses.

Mr. Simbao was speaking with Qfm news in an interview.

  1. he has no heart for the suffering majority. he knows that when he gets sick he sneaks out of the country at night to UK. twenty sixteen is around the corner. he will be humiliated.

    • Simbao na Bwalya Chiselema mubepelefye, come 2016 you will rewind you present hateful comments. Hon. Simbao you had your chance and blew it, first as Deputy and as Full Cabinet Minister of Health. Other than promoting your own relatives in the same ministry, there is nothing to remember you. Lekeni abakali babombeko apo mwalifililwe. Nurses are now well paid than when you were their minister. Most of them are now driving than when you left them walking and hiking lifts. It is only that their present plights have been politicized, otherwise and quite honestly in their own hearts they know that they are better of now than when you were their boss. Speak loudly for development in Senga Hill than for nurses whose grievances are already receiving attention.

  2. he is just about to disappear to some country in the diaspora for treatment. evil people always live longer on earth to continue tormenting God’s people, that is how the devil operates. in Zambia demons are in control, that is why they find pleasure in terminating other people’s employment they enjoy seeing suffering

  3. A government of devils by the devil with Lucifer on the driving wheel. Lucifer is a liar, remember how he lied to Eve and how he repeated the same lies in 2011 to the Zambians. People in Zambia celebrated the whole night thinking ” heaven on earth” has finally dawned this country. Where is the heaven on earth today, haven’ t the sufferings gone beyond the level the MMD administration left the economy of the country at? Yet, even today after 2+ years in power, they are still pointing an accusing finger at the MMD for their failure and lack of vision ? Lucifer, Lucifer, Lucifer and Lucifer – awe mwe.

  4. That’s how old people behave if they smoke chamba,us zambians we are suffering but him and his wife are urinating coffee,2016 out if they want let them hang themselves.

  5. “FAILURE TO RUN THE HEALTH SECTOR PROPERLY WILL COST PF GOVT IN 2016 – SIMBAO?”

COME 2016, MR SIMBAO, you will not know WHAT WILL hit you because this is a working government. As you speak construction & rehabilitation works are expected to commence at UTH following clearance of contracts by the Ministry of Justice on 9th December 2013. Then work is in progress for the award of contracts for consultancies to design & supervise the construction and rehabilitation works at the Ndola & Kitwe Central hospitals.

  6. All that matters to these kolwestans is fixing their opponents either thru by elections or fake charges.Mpika called and it wants to have its wazimu back.

  7. @Luapula premier, don’t respond with simple answers to complex questions . running a country is more than just construction works here and there. PF is providing very poor leadership and they won’t know from which angle they will be hit .mark my words.

  8. @ the psychiatrist

I speak on behalf of my Luapula and based on Zambia’s politics since 1964.

If Zambians could vote for someone in his pajamas, for a mere union leader whose preoccupation was to buy flats for his girlfriends, for a retired and peasant farmer whose preoccupations were to build flats for daughters, and to enrich his sons, I don’t see how Zambians will drive out a government which has embarked on massive infrastructure development/rehabilitation countrywide!

For me my vote will go to any party which will allow me to move around Lusaka without carrying a shoe brush in my jacket!

Please let us reserve our comments for 2016.

  9. THEY ARE NOT ONLY NURSES WHO VOTE IN FACT THE NUMBER IS JUST TOO SMALL TO CHALLEGE THE MOJORITY, SO LET THEM GO BECOUSE THEY HAD NO LOVE AND CARE FOR SICK PEOPLE .THEY SHULD EAT THERE STRIKE.

  10. @Luapula Premier, Bwana you think development is construction ,rehabilitation, etc No, sir development is about PEOPLE NOT THINGS .TELL YOUR PF GOVT THAT DEVELOPMENT IS ABOUT PEOPLE ,NURSES YOU FIRED ARE MORE IMPORTANT THAN REHABILITATION YOU ARE ABOUT TO START AT UTH SIR.

    • @joxer, construction, rehabilitation is all about people. Don’t talk about things you do not know. Construction/rehabilitation can be in terms of a hospital. Mr Simbao is talking about health here. You are just looking at yourself and your ka under 5 party. Grow up and get a life!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Joxer, Nurses were not fired, themselves abandoned work on their own to indulge into politicking/illegal strike. Most good and professional remained on duty, only lazy and talkative ones stayed away from work using mob-psychology. Now that discipline is proposed to take its course, the same lazy nurses are crying that they were sacked and yet they were the first to abandon nursing duties.

  11. NO WONDER YOU ARE A SMALL BOY, EVEN YOUR THINKING IS SMALL .learn somth that the majority you think you have is made up of small numbers, watch your pride it maybe your downfall as pf

  12. @KASABULA N DIVA
GO BACK TO SCHOOL AND LEARN WHAT E DEVELOPMENT IS ALL ABOUT. DON’T USE YOUR EMOTIONS AND TRIBE TO THINK. YOUR UNDERSTANDING OF DEVPT IS VERY SHALLOW, AM NOT AT YOUR LEVEL CNPS

  13. Running down the health sector is only part of the problem the ruling party will face in 2016. From the outside, it looks like PF is not doing much to address the true concerns of citizens. More like a knee-jerk approach to everything. My take is that the “constitution” is what will make or break them, beyond the many mistakes and accomplishments so far. If they are able to give citizens a people driven constitution, then I do not see PF being voted out of power even with their numerous failures.
