Striker Festus Mbewe says he will miss Nkana after joining South
African Premier Soccer League side Golden Arrows on a six months loan.
Mbewe joined Nkana from Zesco United at the start of the 2013 season.
He paid glowing tribute to Nkana for giving him the exposure.
“Nkana will forever have a big space in my heart, they gave me the
game time which exposed me, they have made me who I am, I will miss
this club greatly,” he said.
Mbewe was a key member of the Kalampa squad that won the 2013 FAZ
Super League title.
“I will miss the Champions league, but I have to try another
challenge, you know opportunities like this don’t just come easily and
they only come once. And you know that club is fighting relegation so,
I must work hard to try and help the team survive and if I play well I
can stay,” he said.
Mbewe scored 13 goals for Nkana last season.
Great news Festus, just go to Golden Arrows SA and score, you don’t have to play well, we know you are not so good at it, but just keep scoring that’s all.
Congrats and all the best. He is popularly known as ” Diesel Engine” by Kalampa fans.
Go festus and make us proud.and prove all your doubters wrong.we kalampa supporters have always believed in your abilitie, and may God go with you.
FESTUS MWAICE WANDI, working abroad is not easy – must produce results from DAY1. Improve your precision and score from every chance. You must stop needing 20 chances to score once, which you and Mwape have been doing!
And avoid those beautiful South African ladies. They will compromise your quality of play and performance.
Thanks man that is a big achievement and step in your footballing career. Make use of this chance to prove to market your self unlike what others do who just feel all is done then they are disposed of at the end of the season. Aim higher than that but South Africa is a good stepping stone for you. God bless you.
Mbewe so it means you will not participate in caf champions league? by the way who will help kalampa produce fire works at the champions league?
Kalampa is better off without YOU go well for the end of your career anyway, u are even over age.
Yet another gem goes down south for peanuts.
…why are we secretive about the agreed terms or fees?
That is good for him. At least he will be able to live in SA (where most Zambians envy to live) for a short period. Flukes will work on your side.
