Chipolopolo and Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Mulenga Mukuka says he is frustrated to have been sidelined by injury since July, 2013.
Injured Mukuka is yet to feature for his new club Sundowns since joining them from Power Dynamos in August.
The youngster said he was looking forward to kicking a ball at Sundowns.
“It’s very difficult to be sitting on the sidelines, not playing,” he told the club website.
“My job is to play football, and it’s been a very frustrating time for me.”
Mukuka revealed that he will soon start light training.
“But the good news is the medical team is working hard to get me back into shape. My check up this week showed that I am making good progress and so I will be able to start light work and then work towards full fitness,” he said.
Mukuka added:”I also know that there have been enquiries from Zambia about my status. All I can say is that they must be patient.”
He sustained the injury while playing for Zambia at the 2013 Cosafa Cup in Ndola.
Nobody has enquired about you in zambia because you are not a factor, and that injury seems to be chronic ,iam not sure if sundowns did a comprehensive medical test on you as you seem to be a suspect, zambians remember very well whilst here everytime you were reported to have malaria etc Whats that?
