President Michael Sata and Patriotic Front Secretary General Wynter Kabimba are both shareholders in a company that is reaping a lot of money from roads contract. President Sata and Wynter Kabimba own a company called Ilunda Chalo Investments Limited together with an Indian Citizen named Imran Janmohamed.The secretary of the company is a Dean Mwansa Mumba and this company was registered on August 24, 2012 when Sata was already president.
Their Ilunda Chalo Investment limited is getting 10 percent of all major roads contract. Ilunda Chalo Investments limited is also in the process of acquiring thousands of hectares of land along the Leopards Chirundu road in Chieftainess Nkomeshya’s area of Chongwe constituency were close to 50,000 villagers will soon be displaced. And it is not known why this Indian Citizen called Imran Janmohmed is a shareholder of this Company.
This Company (Ilunda Chalo) is being managed by a Mr. Matale, and for those who have been wondering why Kabimba is so strong and untouchable by Sata, the answer has been availed to you. Kabimba is a business partner with President Michael Sata.
This company is also said to be working with an engineering consulting company called Zulu Burrow. Zulu Burrow has been given a number of contracts under the Roads Development Agency (RDA). President Sata, and Kabimba relatives are attached to this consulting company.
RDA is headed by Charles Mushota who is Wynter Kabimba’s brother in marriage. Mushota is married to the young sister to Wynter Kabimba’s wife. Charles Mushota replaced Benard Chiwala a non corrupted person.
Mushota was fired as head of procurement at RDA by former President Rupiah Banda after receiving reports from bilateral donors that he was corrupt. Sata brought him back to RDA. President Sata says he is allergic to corruption(BUFI).
Please my fellow Zambian Citizen, on all your behalf I am challenging, and calling your President Michael Sata and PF Secretary General Wynter Kabimba to stand up and defend the facts over IIunda Chalo Investment Limited and it’s connection to RDA. And I would like also to know from you Mr. Michael Sata why the RDA is attached, and operates to State /Government House.
And why you Mr. Sata you have been fearing to expel Wynter Kabimba from the Government has a result to pave way for some corrupt allegations, and proper investigation ? GBM has already resigned to pave way for the same.

Sata Chumbumushololwa and Kabimba are definitely on a self enrichment mission. We know that Kabimba’s wife even owns a school in Lusaka South through the dubious businesses of these two. What I find most worrying in Zambia is that we seem to find solace in the fact that any set of ruling politicians can only be brought to book when they are out of power, and so the most we can do is simply mourn and grown and watch as they plunder. We need strong personalities or civic organisation’s that can sue politicians or their companies for suspected acts of corruption, so that the stealing can be stopped. It’s of more benefit to Zambians to stop the stealing than only expose it. In the same vein we need a formal Legal challenge against the relocation of RDA TO STATE HOUSE

Good point there and it should be everyone’s concern of there is no attempt, in the constitution, to curb this blatant theft and abuse of office. Kabimba now stands accused of registering at least two companies since being nominated to power and both these companies are simply incorporated to milk public resources into his pockets. The constitution should make provisions for people voted or nominated public office to declare their wealth at the point of accepting office and any subsequent accumulation of wealth should be explained or face prosecution. We can’t allow such theft to go on unpunished.. No wonder the like of Mangani remain faithful to PF despite being chased from the table.

It was published last year with a copy of the certificate of incorporation and road contract details published by ZWD indeed and it has never been refuted by the state or Kabimba or indeed the post. This company is in the public domain and you can obtain the details from the registrar of companies if you don’t believe. MCS and his cohorts are reaping your country dry and by the way things are going RB’s reported corruption by PF will be like child’s play.

There is nothing wrong for the two to form a company. However if the company formed will get 10% of all major road works; that is a red flag. It calls for us to question why they are getting such a payment. How different is this from the Andrew Banda case where it was alleged that he was getting a percentage of all road works done by the Italian contractor F. Locci.

Luapula Premier: People either do not read or travel outside Zambia to broaden their thinking and understanding of issues. In Zambia, unlike in other countries, Political parties do not get funding from the Government. Now, instead of the ruling political party getting or stealing money from the government, they decide to form companies. These companies run as independent entities to raise funds for the political party. The President of the party and the Secretary General of the party can be chosen by the party to be the directors. I do not see anything wrong in that. In RSA, the ANC as a party has shares in the construction of the biggest power generation project in the country. Please let us see behind our ancestors. Times have changed.

Luapula premier you are wrong in your analysis. This company does not belong to PF but a personal company for the two. Confirm with PF insiders. Secondly it is a crime in the western countries you are mentioning to use inside info to gain an unfair advantage as in this case where road contracts are controlled from state house. It is not usual for one who controls the bidding price to bid and other bidders to expect fairness. Single sourcing is also a crime according to ACC act. I have no problems if they engaged in any business they are not controlling such as fisheries, hotels etc. Tell us one country where the head of state sits on road construction board. Please do not justify wrongs regardless of who is involved. RB’s children are being prosecuted for similar things.

It’s not about how much Sata earns and all that, it is about greed to amass as much wealth while he lasts. Have you never heard of some rich people who swindle and steal from the poor?
Secondly it is not only through dodgy NGO’s that leaders have plundered national resources, they do it by appointing their family members and friends (family tree) in key positions. The many ZNS contracts awarded to one family are just a tip of the iceberg and now typical of things acquired corruptly they are now betraying each other.

What I have seen is that cabinet and the president do not have a code of conduct. In most countries the President and his ministers are not allowed to have business relations with government. Can the media if possible publish any cabinet code of conduct that is available?

@Wanu Ngwee, I would suggest you leave the innocent Mrs Kabimba alone. She started running the school(I presume you mean Tick School) a long time ago ….before the PF was formed. I know so because my two sons and my two daughters used to go to that school. She is a very humble woman who never chased children for delayed payment of fees. She would only ask parents to ensure that the fees are paid. And because she was so understanding parents would find it difficult to disappoint her by not paying…….. One day I will walk to her and thank her for shaping the future of my children. I am sure there are other parents who can back me whose children used to go to this school who can corraborate my story. Of course Mr Kabimba is not my dream politician.
