Lwandamina-I respect Arrows decision

Share

Coach George Lwandamina says he respects the decision by Red Arrows to send him on an indefinite forced leave.

Arrows announced on Thursday that they have sidelined “Chicken” Lwandamina together with his assistant John Musonda.

The club has since promoted Songwe Chalwe and Charles Kafula to the roles of caretaker coaches.

In an interview, Lwandamina refused to comment much on his suspension.

“That is their decision and I respect it,” he told Kitwe’s Radio Icengelo on Friday.

“I can’t comment because even if they have sent me on leave I am still on their payroll,” Lwandamina said.

The club said the suspension is related to the duo’s peformance in the three years they have been incharge of the Zambia Air Force side.

“If they send me on leave who am I to say no I can’t force myself to coach Red Arrows.”

The Zambia Under-20 coach last season led Arrows to the Barclays Cup victory.
